These are all the bugs i have in my phone...
- I get No Gateway Reply in some Wifi Networks, Nokia decides to hide the solution
- Internet Browser just quits randomly while browsing even with strong wifi signal, same happens with Opera
- In Gallery - Images & Videos, there is no option to view as a List
- The game that comes free RT GTR, while in car, it just always shifts to left postion, even when you hold the phone straight

regs U didn't understand the irony from the 'low-cost' words. They sayed it will be a cheap phone. When Nokia anunced the phone they sayed it will be a cheap phone. They pull out from 5800 the: gps, 3g ,better camera and they put a smaller screen even from the package they removed the plastic case,the spare stylus and the plastic desk holder and Voila a cheap phone. If u compare it to 5800 and his package results an very expensive phone.And if u take a look is a phone with a lot of bugs. I DON'T WANT TO BE VERY CITICALLY BUT THIS TIME NOKIA REALY IRRITATED ME.

sorry for my bad english but the phone has no sound on the keyboard only for calls. To send messages, writte, add contact, the virtual keyboard sound goods.
The image explain my problem, the icons below sound bip, but the number, the +* and #,1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 has not sound.
I have the last firmware (v20). I made a soft reset, hard reset, remove the battery.

Nokia 5530 bugs and lacks

Have it for almost a week and faced some problems noticed till current moment.
Bugs.
1. Autocomplete doesn't work on S60 browser addressbar. You can only select first item from popup list.
2. Password fields won't let you enter non-latin symbols.
3. LED won't stop blinking even after incoming message was read. It will stop blinking after you unlock the phone once again.
Important lacks
1. XpressMusic player lacks of current queue feature. Be it not XpressMusic I would say nothing, but you can't view currently playing list and you can't add to current queue.
2. No kinetic scrolling in main menu. I have 50 icons in application menu and it's very problematic to scroll them as the display is sunk a bit. Even my small fingure miss the scrollbar at least 1/3 of attempts to scroll it.
3. S60 browser does not support IDNs. It's not so important at the moment, but Cyrillic TLD zone is expected to run in november this year.
Some noticed misses
1. No preentered local ccTLD in S60 browser autocomplete in localized firmware. Only com, net and org.If it's Russian language on the device then ru should be in list already, if it's German, then deshould be in list. Etc.
2. No preinstalled dictionaries in localised firmwares.

Nokia 5530 firmware v.30 bugs/lacks

After updating my nokia 5530 (RM-504) to firmware v.30 I encountered the following bugs and lacks:
1.The phone prompts for a lock code, even though it didn't before, and when I try 12345 I get code error. But the phone still seem to work as usual.
2. I tried playing mpeg4 file. The audio played but not the video.
3. brightlight app doesn't work anymore.
I'll appreciate your ideas and solutions.

OVI suite was able to recognize my phone and it said latest update v30 was available, so I proceed as per the screen instructions and it gave me two options.
1. Take backup and then install the update
2. Install the update without the backup.
Both the options failed to install the update. It said the phone should be connected via OVI or PC suite even though it was connected using PC suite option in phone. I kept trying at one time it said the backup failed.
It looks like to be a driver issue with the latest updates from Nokia for its applications. With the previous versions there was no issue like this. Sometimes OVI suite fails to detect the phone even the phone is recognized by the computer and I was able to access its contents.
I have attached a screen shot of the error. I hope Nokia will fix this issue

Problem with Nokia 5530

When I start the phone my "Contacts bar" on Home screen work, but when I enter menu and than turn back on Home screen my "Contact bar" freeze. Please help me. I reinstall phone's sofware from Nokia software updater but problem is still here. I am sorry if my english is not so good.

Nokia 5530 xpress music in India

Does anyone know why Nokia is not releasing Nokia 5530 in India?
Is it true that this phone switches off while charging? Is there any other known bugs in this phone after the latest firmware update?
I have been waiting for this phone for past 3 months but it is still not available in Indian stores.
I want to be sure that I don't buy a buggy phone after waiting for so long. I wish my wait for this phone is well paid and Nokia will not disappoint its loyal Indian customers.
It is very disappointing to see Nokia's marketing stratergy that it has released this phone in other parts of the world but for some strange reason, it does not want it to be released in India.

There are many posts about "No gateway". Turn off power saving in the advanced settings of WLAN.

Prbs with nokia 5530

i recently bought nokia 5530 about a month back.now i m facing prbs..
1.the missed calls,recieved calls,dialled calls r not logged.it shows 1 missed call, but no number gets displayed.
2.the mobile has to be switched off and then on to get all the new sms messsages
3. the phone restarts by itself....once in 3 days...
kindly help..ur suggestions r highly appreciated.

How can I remove icons from my Nokia 5530 Xpress m...

I have just got the screen of my Nokia 5530 replaced and the firmware has been updated. As a result, I am now seeing icons that were not there previously.
In particular, as I am not interested in Facebook, can I remove the "icon" for this application from the main screen of my phone ?

Hi all!
I bought my (first) Nokia smartphone in January this year: Nokia 5530.
Since then, no updates was released for my device.
Nokia forget 5530 as like 5800. Now only C / E series, N8, N9, and low-price like 52xx.
Recently new update was released for C6, 5230 and 5233 devices with Ovi Maps 3.06, Browser 7.3 Anna-like, Emoticons input, general improves and more.
Now, my Nokia 5530 is very poor and forgeted:
Don't have widgets, don't support IM for Nokia (i tested it and loved), Nokia Browser is terrible, and others resource is very obsolete.
I saw the C6, the images/videos viewer is very much better, you can categorize with folders, favorite photos, and music player now support lyrics.
Days ago I installed a C6 port to 5530 (I transformed my 5530 in C6), and now my device has widgets, IM for Nokia and all i mentioned in here, but in very lag, the "Memory is full, close some apps and try again" message appears all time, much bored. Then I back yesterday to original firmware 32.0.0.7. I also have put in ALL MUSICS (300+) image covers and lyrics to use in cfw, but now in original don't have this, and I much sad.
What I want?
Want that Nokia don't forget users, because my first smartphone made my a Nokia lover, and I liking this. But i don't have money to buy a new smartphone (i want N8) because here in Brazil (where I live) is much expensive price.
Well, please Nokia, release a nice update for us Nokia 5530 users, even if not with widgets support, but with IM for Nokia, new browser/Ovi maps, lyrics support in Music Player, More organized images/videos viewer and more stabilities and improvements in cinetic scroll, etc.
I love Nokia and want to continue loving.

The 5530 is an older device than the C6. The 5800 wasnt exactly forgotten, but its normal for nokia phones to lose updates once the unit is about a year and a half to two years old. The 5530 is almost two years old already (it will turn two this august), so its not unusual that it wont receive updates anymore.
Its not exactly Nokia's fault that you bought an outdated phone.

HELP ON NOKIA 5530 xpress music

hi, i am new user, and just buyed 2-3 days back a new nokia 5530 xpress music, and i am not happy with it, the main problems are
1) earphone problems - the earphones are not good i mean i got the white color earphone still the sound in it is so bad that no bass in it, simple voice with low sound, also buyed a new earphone but same problem. i hate that
2) music player- well the music is very low as compared to samsung corby pro. this is xpress music but has not much sound where else samsung corby pro has more and better sound than us wat the hell.
3) battery problem- well the battery life as told music can be played upto 27 hrs, and talktime 4 hrs, and standby time, huh ( ALL FAKE). i yesterday rechraged my xpress music fully at around 4 pm, and i dint listen to any music, was just msging my friends and talk to someone for around 30 mins and then was just msging and msging and i stoped at around 12 am night, i saw my battery and its almost down i was shocked and suprise that battery only worked for around 8-9 hrs wat the hell grrrrrrrrrr. at 1 am the battery was at 1 point i mean i am so disappointed i felt like kicking the phone out my balcony. and ya when i recharge my battery it recharges in almost 20-25 mins that too full charge i mean i dont understand y is it happening like that

1. I use in ear earphones and the music is great
2. Music quality on the 5800 is better than the corby pro whose distortion levels are quite high. If we are talking of volume, that is another matter. volume is not equivalent to quality. I am not sure if you are just not using good enough earphones or what, but the presets on mine has a difference on the songs. I can hear the difference. I also listen to songs at volume level 3. So I really think its your earphone which has a problem.
3. These battery life quotations are maximum. Same goes for almost any brand. Music lifetime quotations are impossible to reach in real life. I could tell you how to get 27hours music on your phone but I can assure you, you wont do it.

Nokia 5530 XM Touchscreen (red button) not working...

I bought my nokia 5530 for about 4 months and i had dropped it a couple of times..
But before that it did not experience any serious damage.
It was until recent i accidently dropped it AGAIN and i found out that the red button is not working anymore.
Is there any solution to fixed it??

Nokia 5530 Xpress Music firmware update not findin...

Apparently theres a V20 update for the nokia 5530 Xpress Music phone, but when i look for updates for it. it says latest firmware is V11. So how do i get this new firmware version, because ive been getting alot of problems with version 11?

Hi I could really do with some help in setting up the email on my nokia 5530. I have followed all the instructions but as soon as I try and connect to send a email it says its unable as packet data not available. Have tried searching all the sites and o2 site for the answer all to no avail.

A problem with Nokia 5530 wirmware updating! Help!

I have meat the problem with Nokia 5530 firmware updating: updating allways finish with the message "Downloading of the variant package failed.Most probably there is non-commercial software in your device."
Is there any solution for that problem?

Nokia Software Updater has tried downloading the software, but this is failed 4 times.
Its posible that it can be caused by a bad, slow or instable internet connection.
This failure can also occur because we have maybe a problem with our servers.
