can u tell your phones product code? it is on the label under your phone battery.
Thank you Saeed,
My device product code is 0577686 that indicate "RM-504 CIS WHITE_BLUE" and does not support Farsi language. May be updated illegally before. But is there any legal way to install Farsi language-set on this?

  • Nokia Asha 503 Language pack

I bought this phone for my mom and would need to set it to Hungarian. Unfortunately as it was purchased in the UK it's missing from the list. Someone on an online forum stated that Nokia would be able to install/flash (whatever) a different language pack for fee, however I just got off the Live Chat with an agent and he said they can't do it.
Do you guys have any ideas how could I do this?

    There you go …
Everything is tied to the 7-letter code (product code) on the label of your phone. That determines the firmware-variant you have. The firmware-variant determines the set of languages you get. Officially, only Nokia Care Centres are allowed to change that product code, officially. I guess, the much easier solution is to sell that device and go for a Nokia Lumia 520 or Nokia Lumia 620. because they run Windows Phone, they allow all languages to be downloaded afterwards.

  • Nokia C3-00 language pack with Bulgarian language

I am looking for a generic firmware pack which contains Bulgarian language.
If someone knows one, please provide the language pack number or name.
    Thank you.

Though its not clear.. if you want to add any language to the phone..the ONLY place to do that is Nokia Care.

  • Nokia 6300 Dutch Language Pack - T9??

I need to write texts in Dutch and as so at least need Dutch language for T9 or better still for the whole phone. I've never updated a phone before so need some advice on if this is possible and how to do it. Thanks in advance

  • Nokia 225 Arabic Language Pack

Is it possible to add the arabic language pack to the nokia 225? My mother just bought a new nokia but she loves arabic and it is necessary that she can read it on her phone. If not, could someone suggest a simple nokia (not smartphone) with the arabic preinstalled. The product code of the phone is 059V5W8. Thanks.

With a Nokia Series 30+ (MediaTek) based phone like yours, the set of languages depend on the firmware variant. The firmware variant is identified through the Nokia Product Code which is printed on the label on the phone (059…). You have a phone designated for Germany. If you had 059V5Z3 for example, you would get the Arabic language. However, you might loose other languages this way, like German. Which languages do you need?
Officially, only a Nokia Care Center is able to change the firmware variant, officially.

Both Apple iPhone and Windows Phone can be used as feature phones, when you disable the mobile data. Apple iPhone comes with all languages preinstalled and costs around 280 € new. With a Windows Phone, you need a Wi-Fi once to download additional languages – this can be done directly from its user-interface. I recommend to start with the Nokia Lumia 730, because of its compass sensor for pedestrian navigation – which starts at 180 € currently.

I sent my phone to nokia service in turkey to install turkish language pack and result was negative
anyone help to change language ?thanks

well let me just tell you before you yell at me for being grumpy and difficult that I have been to 6 different places in this city of 20 million and not ONE person in any Nokia center was able to help me with an additional language pack. they just say "can't do it" and that's it. I get the pointthat normally you'd not get a seldom used language pack on a phone sold on a different continent, but you should be able to get what language you need, at extra cost even, no problem, but SHOULD BE ABLE TO get it. SHOULD being the operative word!
Let me tell, you I went to the doctor today with a sinus problem. The doctor asked me what's the matter with me. I said sinus. He wrote it down. Then asked me what I want for it. I said the name of the drug. He wrote it down. That was it. That's the medical care here. I'm the doctor! I know what is the matter with me and I get to choose my medicine, get it?  hahahah. So forgive me for being grumpy about my new phone )))
Anyway, over and out - I solved the problem by adding Polish words to my English dictionary it helps Thanks everyone for the advice ))

  • E50 Change Language pack

I bought a Nokia E50 from Malaysia and its language only contain English and malayu(Malaysian).
Any one knows how can i find and install Arabic/Farsi Language pack for it?
Is it possible to copy a TTF font like Tahoma from my pc to sys\fonts of my Mobile?
    Yours sincerely.

There are no separate, user-installable language packs for the phone.

  • Arabic language pack on nokia 5800

hi i bought a nokia 5800 from hong kong with preinstalled chinese and english language, but my bro recently purchased a nokia 5530 from the same place, and it also has the same language packs preinstalled. however, the 5530 can view the arabic font (but not write in arabic) as in if he gets a txt messeage in arabic, but my 5800 cant?
anyone knows how i cud install the arabic language pack in my 5800. i know they are already preinstalled by nokia, but since stores can do it, then there must be a way to do it!
If iv helped in anyway, hit the kudos button

You'll have to take the phone into a Nokia Care Point. The software needed to install a language pack is not available to end users such as yourself, only to Nokia staff. In theory, even stores shouldn't be able to use it and I'm betting Arabic support will disappear from your brother's 5530 when he updates the firmware (read here to find out why).

  • Chinese language pack on English-language Nokia E7...

I'm based in Manila and just bought a Nokia E72 cellphone here locally in the Philippines. The unit is labeled E72-1.
I needed a cellphone which can display Chinese-language (both Traditional & Simplified Chinese) characters.
Unfortunately, this E72 I bought here only has the English language.
I've read that the Nokia E72 in Hong Kong / Taiwan / Singapore can display both English and Chinese language.
Is it possible to have the Nokia E72 add a Chinese language pack to display Chinese characters? I really need the Chinese display capability since I regularly have contacts who send me important SMS messages with Chinese characters.
If it's not possible to add the Chinese character display capability, I may be forced to let go of this Nokia E72 and perhaps have to order it instead from Hong Kong (or perhaps Taiwan or Singapore) where I presume the Nokia E72 there will have the English + Chinese display capability built-in.
Although not as important as the Chinese-display capability, I would also like if it could have Chinese language input capability installed on this E72. Is this also possible?
Note that I don't need the phone system menus/commands to be displayed in Chinese language (and actually prefer them to be English language). I only need the phone to display/input Chinese characters in the SMS messages.
Please advise so that I can make a decision as soon as possible, whether to let go of this locally-bought E72 with only English language and instead procure a unit from abroad with the Chinese language display (and input) capability.

I'd like to add some more information which may or may not be exactly useful for those who have the same issue as mine:
Adding as much Chinese as possible on the E72 without Chinese language pack:
    http://europe.nokia.com/support/product-support/e72/software
Mobile dictionary language packages Translate words into the language of your choice. Add new languages to your pre-installed Mobile dictionary application from Mobile dictionary download page >>Text-to-Speech language packages and voice packages
Let your phone read your messages out loud with Text-to-speech, a tool which allows you to listen to text messages, multimedia messages, and emails. To utilize your Message Reader application download language packages and voice packages at the Text-to-speech page >>
    1) Using the above page, one can download Chinese dictionary (Traditional and Simplified Chinese versions available).
It seems that after installing both dictionaries for the Mobile Dictionary application, I can fire up the Mobile Dictionary app and choose Target language to Traditional and Simplified Chinese.  The Traditional Chinese characters don't seem to display (some characters display while others are "square boxes"; but the Simplified Chinese characters appear to display correctly.)
So, it appears that the dictionary app can display Chinese characters (at least Simplified Chinese) after installing, although the SMS messages still display "square boxes" where there are Chinese characters.
    2) Download Chinese [Mandarin] (or Chinese [HK]) language text-to-speech.  Now even though the E72 doesn't display Chinese characters (they show up as square boxes), I can use the msg reader to read those "square boxes" messages and it will read them in Chinese.  So at least, that's one way of having Chinese read back to you although the characters themselves can't be displayed.  (Set Language Detection to "On" in the Speech settings so it automatically recognizes Chinese; or one could also set the Voice Language to Mandarin Chinese so that even the voice prompts are read in Mandarin Chinese -- however, if Language Detection is set to "Off", it will try to read English SMS messages as per Chinese pinyin -- ie. incorrectly.).
One bug I notice is that for Chinese character email messages (Nokia Messaging). If I set my Language to English, but set the Speech setting of Language Detection to "On", and then activate the "Listen/Read" email messages, then the Msg Reader will hang up the phone. I had to use a utility called JBakTaskman to forcefully close Msg Reader (if don't have JBakTaskman, then have to turn off the phone and turn it back on).  So it looks like while the Language Detection can auto-detect Chinese characters in SMS messages and read them properly in Chinese, it seems to hang up in Email Messages.
