Nokia 5530 grey on black availability.

Hi. Does anyone have information regarding availability of 5530 grey on black in stores? It seems that even oficial Nokia representatives in countries don't have any idea. Currently available red on black is more suitable for teens and very young people. I'm sure Nokia should make 5530 available in all colors as soon as possible in order to give an option for all generations and tastes.

well on ebay for instance there are loads of casing colors available from gold to red have a look but I don't know where you can buy them from - the grey on black

The 5530 Pink & White is basically the illuvia version, not much difference and you probably can buy a casing from ebay...
I don't know when 5530 Illuvia will be released no the 2220

Nokia 5530 Xpress Music firmware update not findin...

Apparently theres a V20 update for the nokia 5530 Xpress Music phone, but when i look for updates for it. it says latest firmware is V11. So how do i get this new firmware version, because ive been getting alot of problems with version 11?

Nokia 5530

Hi I could really do with some help in setting up the email on my nokia 5530. I have followed all the instructions but as soon as I try and connect to send a email it says its unable as packet data not available. Have tried searching all the sites and o2 site for the answer all to no avail.

Nokia 5530 TV-out mode?

Does the Nokia 5530 support TV-out mode, where one can connect the phone to a TV with a compatible cable?

It says Nokia 5530 and anyways they only have put 5330 once-it was probably a mistype.
However they do show the nokia 5330 tv edition while stating its a 5530 so I don't know

Nokia 5530 xpress music in India

Does anyone know why Nokia is not releasing Nokia 5530 in India?
Is it true that this phone switches off while charging? Is there any other known bugs in this phone after the latest firmware update?
I have been waiting for this phone for past 3 months but it is still not available in Indian stores.
I want to be sure that I don't buy a buggy phone after waiting for so long. I wish my wait for this phone is well paid and Nokia will not disappoint its loyal Indian customers.
It is very disappointing to see Nokia's marketing stratergy that it has released this phone in other parts of the world but for some strange reason, it does not want it to be released in India.

Hey there, Guyz am using a Nokia 5530 XpressMusic I updated it to the recently released firmware update. The Update went through perfectly fine and after the update finished and The Nokia Software Updater gave the message that your phone has been successfully updated I removed it from charging and then removed the USB cable, but it wont turn on. I really have not a single clue what to do. Please tell me a way to restore it back to its previous state and dont tell me to Take it to a Nokia Care centre as I would be charged (probably) for a mistake that I have'nt committed at all went through well it is just that in the end the result was something that I was'nt expecting. Your Help would be much appreciated.

Document Viewer for Nokia 5530 XPressMusic

Hi everyone!
I bought myself the nokia 5530 last week, and today I tried to open a pdf file, and the phone couldn't open it. I thought it had a document viewer and I checked it again on the Nokia site for it's specifications. There it was under specs "document viewer". Now my question is: How do I install it. Because I checked everywhere and I can't find that app on my phone. It also is not included on the CD which came with the package.
I bought myself the 5530 because it had a document viewer. I like to have my slides with me of the class I'm attending, I hated to bring my laptop to class everyday for just the slides which is why I bought this phone.

The specifications for 5233 cleaerly state that Documents such as Word, Excel & powerpoint can be viewed. However after purchasing the handset it was not available. On contacting Nokia I was first told to download the same from www.quickoffice.com. When it dd not work, I was told that the model did not support the document viewer, then I was told to update the mobiles softwarre. After all this when it did not work, i was told to go to www.adobe.com.
Later I was told that it was available in a few handsets as a promotional item and now is no longer available. Nokia is out to cheat people by giving wrong information on their website.

i have a nokia 5530 xpressmusic
untill now it had been working fine but now every time i try to turn it on the screen is black and it vibrates for a moment
i have tried the call button hangup button combination and that doesnt work
als please do not send me to put in the 7330 number combination or the * 3 call button combination because it is a touch screen and it doesn't light up
sometimes it vibrates a bit longer but it just doesnt work

Did you confirm that the batteryis having sufficient charge ? Connect the charger and leave it charging for an hour. Then try switching ON without disconnecting the charger.
If problem remains, have you considered trying a new battery ?

Nokia 5530 battery stripes problem

I've had some troubles before with my screen going black and then the phone turning off, but now I got a problem with the battery stripes. After I charge my phone it says 7 stripes and when I start using him, it will stay at 7 stripes until I restart him, then some stripes are disappeared and the stripes go away normally again. Yesterday it went from 7>6 stripes and when I restarted him there were only 4 stripes left. I really don't understand what could be wrong, but I can now never know well when my battery should be charged...

When I try updating firmware it doesn't allow me to do an update to 20.0.080 version. Is this common issue?

This means V20 is not available for your phone yet. Nokia releases updates in phases for all the different codes. They may not have gotten round to your code just yet.

Nokia 5530 will not open web page

Hi everyone,
I have a Nokia 5530 since christmas with latest firmware update. My problem is that when i click into the Internet, the screen just flashes and automatically closes. I tried it with connecting to Ovi Store and the same thing happens. I am using my wireless modem to connect to the Internet and it has never once given me a problem, just today it started acting up. Another detail is when i use other applications such as Software Update or using Ovi maps, it will download easily, but just wont open web pages even though it is connected,

It's oke. In Facebook options set your accesspoint to always ask before connecting aswell as other apps like your browser, etc..... Change packet-data settings from when available to when needed.

Nokia 5530 firmware v.30 bugs/lacks

After updating my nokia 5530 (RM-504) to firmware v.30 I encountered the following bugs and lacks:
1.The phone prompts for a lock code, even though it didn't before, and when I try 12345 I get code error. But the phone still seem to work as usual.
2. I tried playing mpeg4 file. The audio played but not the video.
3. brightlight app doesn't work anymore.
I'll appreciate your ideas and solutions.

OVI suite was able to recognize my phone and it said latest update v30 was available, so I proceed as per the screen instructions and it gave me two options.
1. Take backup and then install the update
2. Install the update without the backup.
Both the options failed to install the update. It said the phone should be connected via OVI or PC suite even though it was connected using PC suite option in phone. I kept trying at one time it said the backup failed.
It looks like to be a driver issue with the latest updates from Nokia for its applications. With the previous versions there was no issue like this. Sometimes OVI suite fails to detect the phone even the phone is recognized by the computer and I was able to access its contents.
I have attached a screen shot of the error. I hope Nokia will fix this issue
