Nokia 5530 RM-504 Strange Problem

Hi All,
I have Nokia 5530 RM-504 strange problem after flash latest version 31.0.005 two problems create
1) Before flashing Pakistan GMT+5 but after flash Pakistan GMT+6
2) Before flashing sending MMS work fine but after flash when I send MMS 1 time but set sending auto mms same cell no. after 30 sec.
Any idea how to solve those problems.

Hey the problem isn't with the phone i don't think.
I had the same issues with the sound quality and and pushing the button making the sound the good.
Its because there is a diference in the design of theheadset jack/phone plughole.
the wierd sound is a result of the ground and mic wires going to the wrong places. you can cut the plug then re solder the wires back together but switch the mic and ground wires around then it will work fine on something that it wasnt working properly on, but it will stop it working normaly on anything that it curently works on

Nokia 3250:A very strange problem...

Can you help me because i too have the same problem:
Problem 1:
1-I install any software (e.g:snake game) through Application manager (Pc Suit) in memory card.
2-I launch that software (snake game) just after installation it works properly.
3-Now i switch-off the hand set and than switch-on it.
4-I try to launch that software (snake game) again but it doesn't response.
Problem 2:
1:There is a image in my Memory card.
2: I set that image as a wallpaper.
3-Now i switch-off the hand set and than switch-on it.
4-Wallpaper reset to default one.
Problem 3:
1-I install a theme through Application manager (Pc Suit) in memory card.
2: I apply that theme in my hand set.
3-Now i switch-off the hand set and than switch-on it.
4- Now theme reset to default one.

Nokia 5530 xpress music WLAN problem

i am having no gateway reply problem while connecting to wifi.. i have tried everything from closing manual setting to closing power sever, but all in vain....
plz some body help me......

You really have to give some more info. Check your router settings e.g. WPA/WEP, Mac filtering, DHCP.

Nokia 5530 firmware v.30 bugs/lacks

After updating my nokia 5530 (RM-504) to firmware v.30 I encountered the following bugs and lacks:
1.The phone prompts for a lock code, even though it didn't before, and when I try 12345 I get code error. But the phone still seem to work as usual.
2. I tried playing mpeg4 file. The audio played but not the video.
3. brightlight app doesn't work anymore.
I'll appreciate your ideas and solutions.

OVI suite was able to recognize my phone and it said latest update v30 was available, so I proceed as per the screen instructions and it gave me two options.
1. Take backup and then install the update
2. Install the update without the backup.
Both the options failed to install the update. It said the phone should be connected via OVI or PC suite even though it was connected using PC suite option in phone. I kept trying at one time it said the backup failed.
It looks like to be a driver issue with the latest updates from Nokia for its applications. With the previous versions there was no issue like this. Sometimes OVI suite fails to detect the phone even the phone is recognized by the computer and I was able to access its contents.
I have attached a screen shot of the error. I hope Nokia will fix this issue

A problem with Nokia 5530 wirmware updating! Help!

Hi all,
I have meat the problem with Nokia 5530 firmware updating: updating allways finish with the message "Downloading of the variant package failed.Most probably there is non-commercial software in your device."
Is there any solution for that problem?

Nokia Software Updater has tried downloading the software, but this is failed 4 times.
Its posible that it can be caused by a bad, slow or instable internet connection.
This failure can also occur because we have maybe a problem with our servers.

Nokia 5530 battery stripes problem

I've had some troubles before with my screen going black and then the phone turning off, but now I got a problem with the battery stripes. After I charge my phone it says 7 stripes and when I start using him, it will stay at 7 stripes until I restart him, then some stripes are disappeared and the stripes go away normally again. Yesterday it went from 7>6 stripes and when I restarted him there were only 4 stripes left. I really don't understand what could be wrong, but I can now never know well when my battery should be charged...

Weird problem nokia 5530 xpressmusic

I have deleted the preloaded MP3 tracks from the nokia 5530 on my computer but if I go to the musicplayer and I choose artists for instance, I can still see the artists from the preloaded tracks. If I try to delete these maps, I receive an error. It's impossible to delete them. Does anyone know how I can delete them?

Try first to refresh your library. If all musicfiles are deleted, but your library says you still have them, it sounds like the library is corrupt in some way.

If this does not fix it, you can always soft reset your device (phonememory) and format your memorycard. You should back up contacts, messages etc using ovisuite or pc suite as a soft reset wipes your phonememory, and a format of the memorycard wipes your memorycard.
I would go for the format of the memorycard first before doing the soft reset, as this should normally fix it.

Please help me with Nokia E71 very strange problem...

I have Nokia E71_v1, I got lots of strange problem like:
1- The camera didnt save the images and create the images like this: Name of the image*jpg but I can take videos without a problem.
2- when I put anything in the memory card or the phone memory it became currpted and then I couldnt open them at all, the message "can open the file" or "file is currpted" appears.
3- I couldnt install any application to the phone, if I put any sis file on the memory I get "file currpted" message but if I sent it to the phone via bluetooth I could install it.
4- The name of the folders usually change their name and currpted characters appeard in the folder naming.
5- When I added any mp3 files to any memory the files are disappeared.

You better reset the E71. Dial *#7370# 12345 reformat, you'll lose all data. Make a backup first and restore without the settings. Reformat the card in the phone and remove the card using the menu from the power button. Do not encrypt the card as a test.

Nokia 5530 battery problems

hi there can anybody help, my nokia 5530 was charging fine till yesterday, however last nite i plugged it back in to charge, the phone recogised the charger but didnt start charging! is this a battery fault or does phone need repairing.

Well, it could be a number of reasons, but if you download green charging from ovi store, which is a battery charge monitoring app, you could find out if its just full charged.

Strange problem with my nokia 5230

Recently i sent my phone of for repair and when i got it back i have this strange problem, the screen goes big when i go on the internet, now before there used to be a full screen icon and if i clicked that the screen would go back to normal size, now this icon seems to be missing from my phone does anyone know how i can get it back? I have to press the silly arrow at the bottom of the screen all the time if i want to go back a page and it has become very annoying!

No. You can not downgrade the firmware...
New firmwares have so many advantages.. If the behaviour you have mentioned is not like the earlier version.. once you get used to it you may in fact like it..

Nokia 5530 switches off when making/receiving call

Hello , i have strange problem with nokia 5530. Its just switches off when making/recieving a call. I read nokia discussion of Europe and USA. there are number users who have same problems i have it now.
I've gone to nokia care and hope they can give me a perfect solutions. As i have read all the posts about this problem , i m bit worried whether my mobile will be repaired or not. Stil now i havent found any post which 100 tells me about solution for this problem

Nokia 5530 Express Music - Bluetooth connection ck...

I have a new VW Passat with a audiocenter RS 510 and optional carkit by Parrot (CK 300). Almost every Nokia I tried works perfectly, except my 5530. The pairing and connection is no problem, outgoing calls work fine, but incoming calls are impossible :
- the carkit doesn't take over the ringtone selected in the phone (by other Nokia models it dos)
- the carkit only rings once, immediately and automatically it switch back to the phone
- if I succeed to answer, my contacts understand my call perfect, but I can't hear them.
The carkit and audiocenter are already replaced once, the problem is for sure with the phone, and very strange, only with incoming calls.

You have to set up a internet accesspoint under destinations as described on page 100 of the English manual.

NOKIA 2310 On and Off problem

Hi.
I'd NOKIA 2310. I'm using this for the last 3 years. I'd never attached this fone with Computer.But now-a-days I'm having some strange problem.
When i switch on the mobile its automatically switch off and then on again. It Atuomatically Switch on and off again and again many times till it gets ON fully. someone told me that its software get corrupted you may need to flash out the software and re-install.
I need to know how to fix this problem? Is there any software available by Nokia to flash the software and re-install it? I already reset it factory default I also tried the 3 button reset but both does not work for me.

Download Ovi Suite on your pc and reinstall or update (if there's a newer firmware version for your phone) your firmware.

HELP ON NOKIA 5530 xpress music

hi, i am new user, and just buyed 2-3 days back a new nokia 5530 xpress music, and i am not happy with it, the main problems are
1) earphone problems - the earphones are not good i mean i got the white color earphone still the sound in it is so bad that no bass in it, simple voice with low sound, also buyed a new earphone but same problem. i hate that
2) music player- well the music is very low as compared to samsung corby pro. this is xpress music but has not much sound where else samsung corby pro has more and better sound than us wat the hell.
3) battery problem- well the battery life as told music can be played upto 27 hrs, and talktime 4 hrs, and standby time, huh ( ALL FAKE). i yesterday rechraged my xpress music fully at around 4 pm, and i dint listen to any music, was just msging my friends and talk to someone for around 30 mins and then was just msging and msging and i stoped at around 12 am night, i saw my battery and its almost down i was shocked and suprise that battery only worked for around 8-9 hrs wat the hell grrrrrrrrrr. at 1 am the battery was at 1 point i mean i am so disappointed i felt like kicking the phone out my balcony. and ya when i recharge my battery it recharges in almost 20-25 mins that too full charge i mean i dont understand y is it happening like that

1. I use in ear earphones and the music is great
2. Music quality on the 5800 is better than the corby pro whose distortion levels are quite high. If we are talking of volume, that is another matter. volume is not equivalent to quality. I am not sure if you are just not using good enough earphones or what, but the presets on mine has a difference on the songs. I can hear the difference. I also listen to songs at volume level 3. So I really think its your earphone which has a problem.
3. These battery life quotations are maximum. Same goes for almost any brand. Music lifetime quotations are impossible to reach in real life. I could tell you how to get 27hours music on your phone but I can assure you, you wont do it.
