Nokia 5530 update help

First I want to apologizefor my english, i use google translater :/
I have a Nokia 5530 half-year and the software is my 20th edition and now has 32. But I can not frequently updated phone in any way. I tried from the phone in all ways - there can not bind to the server of Nokia. I downloaded your Ovi - there writes me that there is not a new version for my phone (as long as I can see in the website of Nokia that there is new). Restart the setings to the factory one but again the same.
Today I do not know how it managed to download the new version, but starts to install it, restart the phone and then says that this software is not compatible with this phone.
Do some one know why this phone just don't want to be updated any way?

Updates depend on region / Product Code.. Also.. if your phone is Network Locked then the update is possible only after an approval from the Operator..

Hello everyone .. I can somehow fix my Nokia 5530 XpressMusic phone? I am installing software suddenly my phone to power down and when I try to turn on the phone menu button lights up and shuts down! and do not go on .. anyone can help me? which program should I install to be able to do something about it?

Anna on 5530? I don't think Nokia has released Anna for the 5530. If you downloaded the update from the internet then you could contact the developer for support.

hi when i strat nokia software updater it say login and pass word its naver say before .the site on the top of login window is www.dsut.nokia.online.com but i cant find this site any body help me to how to sign up there ???

Hi, I tried this once I got in but to no avail. It still isn't working. I watched the task manager when I started the application and the nsu_ui_client_exe starts but quickly disappears a second later. Plus there is no nsl_host_porcess_exe in the task manager. Is this the problem? The phone is driving me crazy and is in desperate need for an update.

Nokia E51 Update Help!

Hi my dad gave me his E51 after he had bought an E71. Whan i received it, the keys especially the home button were working well. After sometime, the left (blue) menu key was not working.
And then it came to the Volume buttons, then to the number 4 button and ro the grenn button.
Then I decided to take some action. I took the mobile to Nokia and asked for the problem.
They told me that it is a firmware problem and that a simple update was needed to fix it.
Unfortunately the usb port on my phone is out of order...Is there any other way to update the phone?

With E51 the only way to update your firmware is by using the USB cable .
The suggestion my fellow member jimmyisland mentioned earlier won't work with E51 cos it has older firmware which doesn't support on air update

Nokia 7390 update,HELP!!

i want to update my firmware to see if i can change it back to the original language, but th current latest version is lower than mine, will it degrade it?

Nokia N8 Update.Help!! :D

So...first of all hey xD,i am new to this forums so I am sorry if I placed this topic in a wrong section.
So the problem is that I got a dark grey Nokia N8 and that is from French.
His product code is:059C304
The telephone is from a company named SFR,but I am not living in French,and someone gave me this telphone as a present.
The problem is that i cannot update the telephone to Belle.Because it says he cannot find a new version.
At this moment my version is:Symbian Anna 022.014
So...how can i update the telephone?Or i must wait for the update to come out?

Belle would only be released to that product code once SFR approved the update
If it's not offered when you connect the phone to pc suite, it suggests SFR have never approved the belle update
If this is the case and given the length of time that has passed since Belle was released. they never will
I could talk about warenties at this point, but likely it has expired
So you can either find a freindly care point to flash belle, or look elsewhere for unnoficial methods of obtaining updates that we cannot discuss here

Nokia 5530 GPS Help!

ive been having trouble using my GPS on my mobile, it says i can use network for the GPS rather than Bluetooth, so when i try and connect it says " Enable a satalite positioning method first" even though i clicked on Positiong Methods > Network Based (i cannot edit the settings for this), can anyone help with this?
also is there a google map mobile or Ovi map mobile avalible?

Ovi Maps requires on a GPS receiver, be it built in or external. It does have the ability to use AGPS (internet) to speed up position fix if your phone supports AGPS, which incidentally the 5530 doesn't.
Regarding setting up Hotmail, have a look at the link below. It is one of the best tutorial I have seen.

It should not cost you anything as long as you are using a free wifi.

256 MB nokia software updater help

Hey dont have to worry if you 256mb whatever it reads. Just do what i say i don't know whether this will work with you but it works on mine.
1) First go to BIOS setup (by pressing del button when system boots)
2) Then change the chipset configuration. There will video sharing with ram. Change that to 1mb. (" don't make it zero. It will results in a graphics failure. Remove the cmos battery and put it again. Restart between the removing and inserting. Do this if anything bad happens")
3) save and restart the system.
*This is because the ram cannot be an odd number. Do this. Good luck.

A problem with Nokia 5530 wirmware updating! Help!

Hi all,
I have meat the problem with Nokia 5530 firmware updating: updating allways finish with the message "Downloading of the variant package failed.Most probably there is non-commercial software in your device."
Is there any solution for that problem?

Update for Nokia 5530? Read this please.

Hi all!
I bought my (first) Nokia smartphone in January this year: Nokia 5530.
Since then, no updates was released for my device.
Nokia forget 5530 as like 5800. Now only C / E series, N8, N9, and low-price like 52xx.
Recently new update was released for C6, 5230 and 5233 devices with Ovi Maps 3.06, Browser 7.3 Anna-like, Emoticons input, general improves and more.
Now, my Nokia 5530 is very poor and forgeted:
Don't have widgets, don't support IM for Nokia (i tested it and loved), Nokia Browser is terrible, and others resource is very obsolete.
I saw the C6, the images/videos viewer is very much better, you can categorize with folders, favorite photos, and music player now support lyrics.
Days ago I installed a C6 port to 5530 (I transformed my 5530 in C6), and now my device has widgets, IM for Nokia and all i mentioned in here, but in very lag, the "Memory is full, close some apps and try again" message appears all time, much bored. Then I back yesterday to original firmware 32.0.0.7. I also have put in ALL MUSICS (300+) image covers and lyrics to use in cfw, but now in original don't have this, and I much sad.
What I want?
Want that Nokia don't forget users, because my first smartphone made my a Nokia lover, and I liking this. But i don't have money to buy a new smartphone (i want N8) because here in Brazil (where I live) is much expensive price.
Well, please Nokia, release a nice update for us Nokia 5530 users, even if not with widgets support, but with IM for Nokia, new browser/Ovi maps, lyrics support in Music Player, More organized images/videos viewer and more stabilities and improvements in cinetic scroll, etc.
I love Nokia and want to continue loving.

The 5530 is an older device than the C6. The 5800 wasnt exactly forgotten, but its normal for nokia phones to lose updates once the unit is about a year and a half to two years old. The 5530 is almost two years old already (it will turn two this august), so its not unusual that it wont receive updates anymore.
Its not exactly Nokia's fault that you bought an outdated phone.

Nokia 5530 Xpress Music firmware update not findin...

Apparently theres a V20 update for the nokia 5530 Xpress Music phone, but when i look for updates for it. it says latest firmware is V11. So how do i get this new firmware version, because ive been getting alot of problems with version 11?

Updates for nokia 5530

hello sir iam using nokia 5530 mobile and i updated my mobile sucessfully (V31.) and iam eagerly waiting for the next updates from june still the updates are not available... i request you to issue the latest updates as that of the nokia 5800 which is in V51....

Hey there, Guyz am using a Nokia 5530 XpressMusic I updated it to the recently released firmware update. The Update went through perfectly fine and after the update finished and The Nokia Software Updater gave the message that your phone has been successfully updated I removed it from charging and then removed the USB cable, but it wont turn on. I really have not a single clue what to do. Please tell me a way to restore it back to its previous state and dont tell me to Take it to a Nokia Care centre as I would be charged (probably) for a mistake that I have'nt committed at all went through well it is just that in the end the result was something that I was'nt expecting. Your Help would be much appreciated.

My nokia 5530 mx dosen't accept the update

funny subject ! but it's real ... using nsu i reach the firmware's update but ...
it stops there telling me that nsu has lost connexion to my device ..
i tried *#7370# manytimes .. yes it makes a reset but nothing there's helping to resolve the problem ... i have the latest version of nsu and nokia pc suite too .... i read about hard reset but it didn't work with me and i don't think it's for nokia 5530 ... so plz is there any other way to upgard it ? thank you

At this point in the process after firmware has been downloaded to temp. folder on PC, application has to disconnect from PC Suite mode connection to load a BB5 flash loader and as this is not happening for some reason the process times out. You don't say which Windows version you are using, but if installation of Nokia Software Updater application goes wrong it can be difficult to sort out due to corrupt registry entries left behind unfortunately.

I gather this Firmware v4.0.003 is now avaiable for my Nokia 5530 but I can't download via OTA or via Nokia suite.

Nokia 5530 a very serious update problem

i m facing a very serious problem with my nokia 5530...the problem is i can not update my phone.... my current firmware is 20.080. i have used ovi suite it gives latest available for my phone is 30.009... now when i try to update it through ovi it gives a problem with error code of 12017... i tried on PC suite but it says the update is not available for my phone... I download NSU from betalabs but it also says that update is not available for my phone.... i have tried everything possible which i could but nothing worked out and now i m here...Now if the update is available for my phone why does not it install through ovi suite...and if the update is not available for my phone then why is that so?? people are 5530 with the latest firmware of 32 while i m still using the 20....please solve this problem for me...if could not solve it i m going to say goodbye to symbian mobiles forever....thanks reply with a solution that works please....

There may have been a problem with the communication between Ovi Suite and your PC. to save trouble you can always have it updated via a Nokia Care Center.
