Nokia 5530 - Video Cable (CA-75U)

I'm not sure if the CA-75U video cable supports the Nokia 5530.
According to this topic the Nokia 5800 does.
And the Nokia 5530 and the 5800 are mostly the same.
A page on eBay says it does.
There are forums where they say it doesn't, other sites say it does.
I don't know it anymore.
Is there even any possibility to connect the nokia 5530 to a tv?

Sorry , but NO and NO. You can use Opera mobile as default browser, but it only opens attachments and links in mail, everything else reverts to native browser. Best way to watch Youtube is to download the YouTube app from Google mobile.

Unfortunately Opera does not support Flash. You can use Skyfire to view video, but as a browser it's very laggy !

Nokia Video Cable for n95 vs Cheap Video cable, wh...

Hey, so im interested into understanding why the nokia video cable for n95 costs around 40€ in my country while you can get a very very cheap one for no more than 6€.
What are the advantages of nokia 1 vs a normal 1? does it scale the image to a higher resolution than the phone 240*320? does it offer anything else at all than basic video/stereo audio output?
Im rly curious since i find the price just ridiculous if its the same!

Nokia video cable comes with, if i am not wrong, 6 months warranty and you can expect quality though not that well in the video but in the cable. A friend of mine bought a video cable for his 5800 from other shop it worked well, make sure you dont buy a very cheap product which maynot be compatible with the phone, better test infront of the shop person if possible.

Nokia 5530 playing music videos

hi,need some advice for nokia 5530.playing a music video and its really slow,like it plays then pause then play,its like its catching up.

Almost certain then that the video is the wrong format for your phone .
You dont mention the videos specifications ,
Convert to a format that your phone plays . Loads of posts here on converters if you search .

Video cable: CA-75 vs generic 3.5mm to RCA?

Will a simple 3.5mm mini-jack to 3 RCA splitter cable work for video output?
The Nokia CA-75U cable has this little box in the middle. I wonder if it's doing anything that a simple cable doesn't or it's just for show.

Well, I can't get it to output video. The TV icon shows on the phone, audio works, but not video.
I saw around other people were having trouble with the video out as well, so I tried playing with it. Plugging the cable first to the TV then the phone, the reverse, plugging partially, manually selecting TV out (when it asks), letting it automatically detect TV out mode (when cable is connected in a certain order), to no avail.
I read about 5800s that don't support TV out despite everything indicating they do, but I think those were in India? Are there really such models? Is there a way to detect if this device might fall into the same category?
Is there a chance the cable is to blame after all, despite other people seemingly getting it to work fine with random cables?

I bought my (first) Nokia smartphone in January this year: Nokia 5530.
Since then, no updates was released for my device.
Nokia forget 5530 as like 5800. Now only C / E series, N8, N9, and low-price like 52xx.
Recently new update was released for C6, 5230 and 5233 devices with Ovi Maps 3.06, Browser 7.3 Anna-like, Emoticons input, general improves and more.
Now, my Nokia 5530 is very poor and forgeted:
Don't have widgets, don't support IM for Nokia (i tested it and loved), Nokia Browser is terrible, and others resource is very obsolete.
I saw the C6, the images/videos viewer is very much better, you can categorize with folders, favorite photos, and music player now support lyrics.
Days ago I installed a C6 port to 5530 (I transformed my 5530 in C6), and now my device has widgets, IM for Nokia and all i mentioned in here, but in very lag, the "Memory is full, close some apps and try again" message appears all time, much bored. Then I back yesterday to original firmware 32.0.0.7. I also have put in ALL MUSICS (300+) image covers and lyrics to use in cfw, but now in original don't have this, and I much sad.
What I want?
Want that Nokia don't forget users, because my first smartphone made my a Nokia lover, and I liking this. But i don't have money to buy a new smartphone (i want N8) because here in Brazil (where I live) is much expensive price.
Well, please Nokia, release a nice update for us Nokia 5530 users, even if not with widgets support, but with IM for Nokia, new browser/Ovi maps, lyrics support in Music Player, More organized images/videos viewer and more stabilities and improvements in cinetic scroll, etc.
I love Nokia and want to continue loving.

The 5530 is an older device than the C6. The 5800 wasnt exactly forgotten, but its normal for nokia phones to lose updates once the unit is about a year and a half to two years old. The 5530 is almost two years old already (it will turn two this august), so its not unusual that it wont receive updates anymore.
Its not exactly Nokia's fault that you bought an outdated phone.

A problem with Nokia 5530 wirmware updating! Help!

I have meat the problem with Nokia 5530 firmware updating: updating allways finish with the message "Downloading of the variant package failed.Most probably there is non-commercial software in your device."
Is there any solution for that problem?

Nokia Software Updater has tried downloading the software, but this is failed 4 times.
Its posible that it can be caused by a bad, slow or instable internet connection.

Nokia 5530 TV-out mode?

Does the Nokia 5530 support TV-out mode, where one can connect the phone to a TV with a compatible cable?

It says Nokia 5530 and anyways they only have put 5330 once-it was probably a mistype.
However they do show the nokia 5330 tv edition while stating its a 5530 so I don't know

hello sir iam using nokia 5530 mobile and i updated my mobile sucessfully (V31.) and iam eagerly waiting for the next updates from june still the updates are not available... i request you to issue the latest updates as that of the nokia 5800 which is in V51....

Hey there, Guyz am using a Nokia 5530 XpressMusic I updated it to the recently released firmware update. The Update went through perfectly fine and after the update finished and The Nokia Software Updater gave the message that your phone has been successfully updated I removed it from charging and then removed the USB cable, but it wont turn on. I really have not a single clue what to do. Please tell me a way to restore it back to its previous state and dont tell me to Take it to a Nokia Care centre as I would be charged (probably) for a mistake that I have'nt committed at all went through well it is just that in the end the result was something that I was'nt expecting. Your Help would be much appreciated.

Nokia 5530 XM, phone software issues/headaches

Hello,
I got my 5530 XM around 2 months ago. It was my first Nokia (been a Sony Eric fan for over 5 years). Anyway i liked its touch interface and all.
But then i noticed the phone would restart (reddish/grayish horizontal lines leading to a white screen and then reboot) on average once/twice a day randomly.
I used the nokia update software to get the latest firmware, with that applied, the restarts frequency was decreased. But around 3 weeks ago, i noticed th phone would become unresponsive at times. Like i'd click on a menu item and i'd hear the small vibration of the force feedback, but nothing would launch, in such situations the phone won't respond to any touches, other than lock/unlock slide key and the turn on/off switch.
The only way to get out of that is to restart the phone. But this unresponsiveness is really annoying. I also did a re-install of the firmware from the nokia-software-updater 2 days ago, but the phone still gets stuck in unresponsive state. Sometimes you get unresponsiveness while you're receving a call. You can click all you want to accept the call but nothing would happen. sometimes i have to remove the phone cover and take out the battery and then put it back in and start the phone again to make things go back to normal.
Other than that, at times i'm unable to launch the camera. Its such an embarassment to be a nokia users, 2,3 times at party with friends i had to take some pictures with my NEW NOKIA 5530 and i noticed the camera wouldn't launch (From applications > Camera), there is the small circle on top of the camera icon (that appears for minimized applications), but clicking the icon does nothing.
Even restarting the phone doesnt help.
My phone is still within its 10/12 month warranty period. but i'm truly disappointed in nokia's software. Can someone please help me fix this problem? i've never faced any software issues with my other brand fones and i really love the touch feature of this phone and the interface but the UnTested Operaing System from Nokia is really becoming a headache for me.
Being a software engineer myself, it makes me wonder if there is any quality assurance going on in software departments at nokia. I remember watching a Nokia video on youtube showing how nice and long their hardware quality assurance tests were > which lead me to buying nokia 5530 as my next phone, but this software, it makes me dislike the phone more every passing day

Nokia 5530 firmware v.30 bugs/lacks

After updating my nokia 5530 (RM-504) to firmware v.30 I encountered the following bugs and lacks:
1.The phone prompts for a lock code, even though it didn't before, and when I try 12345 I get code error. But the phone still seem to work as usual.
2. I tried playing mpeg4 file. The audio played but not the video.
3. brightlight app doesn't work anymore.
I'll appreciate your ideas and solutions.

OVI suite was able to recognize my phone and it said latest update v30 was available, so I proceed as per the screen instructions and it gave me two options.
1. Take backup and then install the update
2. Install the update without the backup.
Both the options failed to install the update. It said the phone should be connected via OVI or PC suite even though it was connected using PC suite option in phone. I kept trying at one time it said the backup failed.
It looks like to be a driver issue with the latest updates from Nokia for its applications. With the previous versions there was no issue like this. Sometimes OVI suite fails to detect the phone even the phone is recognized by the computer and I was able to access its contents.
I have attached a screen shot of the error. I hope Nokia will fix this issue

DVI to Video Adapter and S-Video Cable = Flipping TV Screen

Hello!
I attached my DVI & S-Video Cable to my television. Everything was fine, except when choosing different display resolutions, the TV screen would start flipping.
THEN:
• I removed the DVI to Video Adapter from the computer while it was still plugged into the TV.
Now, no matter what I have tried, I get a TV screen that flips.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

S-Video is the better of the two interfaces. Neither is very good when compared with a computer screen, which will have much higher resolution. I doubt you will notice much difference between S-Video and RCA Video but if you have the choice you might as well go S-Video.
