Nokia 5610 express music slide problem

hi frndz!
i hav bought new nokia 5610. For answering the calls i hav set the settings to " answer on opening the slide". Bt whenever i open the slide to answer the call, i get connected to the cal after 3-4sec on opening the slide.
So is this problem being faced by me only or is it a general problem in the handset.

I have reparied my slider key once already. This is indeed a very bad problem. Here it costed me USD 20 for getting it repaired from Nokia. The replaced has already started developing cracks inspite of minimal usage and carrying it in a ultra soft "Case Logic" mobile cover. Any advice on avoiding this prob or I just have to assume now that I cant avoid it.

I am facing the exact issue! had bought Nokia 5610 in January and just within 5 weeks I saw a crack in the slider button. It has completely come off now.
I've browsed all Nokia Care centers in Hyderabad and none of them seem to be capable enough to get the panel changed. I feel frustrated as I look at my "Ugly" phone without button...repent that it is the same phone that made me fall for its looks few months ago.
Also, they are telling me that since it is a Hardware problem we do not cover it under warranty...and it would Cost me around Rs 1500 to get the panel replaced. My Question and Suggestion to Nokia is > Why to have such a delicate design, at first place. Did we spend 13K for something that is bound to be broken. I am sure you will receive many similar complaints.
If anyone is reading this, please help me out of this Button Trouble.

Nokia 5610 express music why bad back pane is not ...

1.back pane not smooth (all of this model sell in thailand is same case )
2.firm ware is not up to date that cause hang up bug and so many problem with this phone
If you aware this problem please replace this product that cause nokia selling too bad in next 3 month that occur with N76 , N95 that silver pane is slough

Nokia 5610 Express Music speaker...

when i call to some one the sound is very low... i did the volume up to the max but still its low i cant take it anymore! is there anyway to upgrade it or something? is it only my phone or onther 5610 has this problem?

If you have the ringtone volume set to maximum, it will auomatically be set to ascending mode so it starts quiet and gets louder. This is a safety feature. Set it to one level below max to get it loud straight away.
The choice of the tone itself is as important as the ringtone. Something suitably rock 'n' roll will be much easier to hear and react to to a lot of the standard ringtones that all manufacturers install on their phones.

Nokia 5610 Xpress Music - Problem with Application...

Hi all..
I have a problem in my Nokia 5610 Xpress Music.
I can't access Applications! When I enter an application, a message says:"supportive file. nothing to display". However, I can enter some of the 'Applications' from the 'Go to' button in the stand by screen. My 'Calculator' has disappeared from my Organizer.
If anyone helps to solve this problem, it would be highly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Most of us here are just nokia users like you or anybody else who asks a problem here and seeks a solution.We are not professionals,and only try to help others.
Now, in this present case: For an instance,The calculator has disappeared. It is a part of firmware which cannot be edited.If it was a symbian phone then there was a possibility of developing a patch.But, with s40's the only option you have is to go for an firmware upgrade,if you can do it by yourself then well enough.Otherwise you need to visit the care center where you can get your firmware updated or get a stable firmware which has a calculator.

Nokia 5610 XPress Music

Hello,
i have a severe problem with my phone(Nokia 5610 XPress Music). What happened was, just before a month ago,i have an accident and in it, one of the buttons(the button on front face of the phone,color-black,function - with its help, the screen slides left to right or vice versa) of my mobile has broken down and got up from the phone.
Now the place of the button is empty and i can't even brought up my cell phone in public place.
In this situation, with a heavy heart wanted to know, if parts(specialy that button) of that model are available in my country(Bangladesh)/wanted to know the possible time margin of when i can have that available.
Please help me, I am in great pain.

Nokia 5310 Express Music - Screensaver, Powersave ...

Hi.
My nokia 5310 Express Music (my software version is V09.42), has suddenly changed.
My screensaver, powersave and sleep mode stopped working. I have everything ON in the settings.
After some time the screen turns black, but I can still see the wallpaper.
And, if I don't use it for a while the keypad stop working too. If I turn it off and then turn on again it starts working. (I use to believe that it was a hardware problem, but the thing is, when the keypad doesn't work, the volume button,and the PLAY does not work too.
I think both of the problems are related, (the screensaver, powersave, sleep mode, keypad) because they appeared at the same time.
I've tried to update the software using the USB cable, I've tried to restore to the factory settings, I've tried taking out the battery, everything and still not working.
I don't know what to do anymore. Can any of you guys help me?

Nokia 5610 express contact list

So I have about 100 contact lists Nokia 5610 express does not have mobile, home, work fields to enter, so my contact lists became 300 lists long, am I correct or something that I am missing ? who knows may be a week later my lists will goes up to 500 ? Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

My failure of a Nokia 5610 Xpress Music

Long story short, i've had the phone about 2 months, and have had problems from day one. I'm currently trying to resolve the issue with nokia but what i'd like to know is would there be anyway to fix these problems myself. I love the phone but i've not gone one day yet where it hasn't had one of these problem. I updated the firmware to the latest but i've still got problems and it even caused a few more.
Here are the problems i've flagged to nokia.
1. Java applications cannot access the GPRS connection but the in-phone browser can. The nokia wapsite refused to admit my phone exists and has no settings.
2. The phone used to crash every 4-5minutes of listening to songs, and upon resetting would need to rescan for music files. Upon updating the phones firmware to the latest version the phone now does it about once or twice an hour. While this is better it's still not really acceptable.
3. The phone logs ALL messages as being recieved an hour before the actual time, this problem only occured AFTER updating to the latest firmware.
4. The music/radio/phone selector button broke off in my pocket but had always been shakey before this. A quick internet search reveals this as not unheard of. My assumption is that the exposed nature of the phone now means any water resistant nature it had is compromised. I still have the button.
5. The phone will loose signal at random points where i know signal is perfect or after the phone crashes and resets and reports perfect/no 3G reception which i don't get anyway.
6. On occasion the phone itself will play recieved calls through the loudspeaker and will not switch it off. Upon resetting the phone there is no signal until the phone is reset a further time, this problem only ALSO occured AFTER updating to the latest firmware

I think you're mis-handling your phone
I've been using my 5610 for 4 months and my friend for 8 months and our slider keys are still working fine
And from 6.60 you can immediately update to 8.30
For the GPRS connection, scroll to your java app, click Options > Application access > Communication > Network Access > Always Allowed
And please don't push for a refund, there are many other people with the same issues

5530 Express Music Flash Problem

Hello everyone,
I recently bought a 5530 Express Music phone and i was disappointed of it when i found out that this phone dont have flash player 10 support. Any of you guys have any idea in order for me to watch flash video streaming on this phone unit? i really appreciate some help from you guys. thanks for your help in advance.
If I can't find a solution for this issue, i hope Nokia could help me solve this problem. Its so sad to think that you bought a phone because of that feature you want but you cant actually use that feauture. i just want to maximize all the features of my phone.

If its youtube, download the youtube application from ovi store. Also check if you have Adobe Mobile Flash 3.1, because AFAIK it comes out with only 3.0 installed.

Hi! Same problem with mine.... I read somewhere that fw upgrade elliminates it, but my microUSB port on the phone isn't working, so it's impossible to update for me. Wanted to try via FOTA, but it keeps asking for server profiles. Could you send me those please? It'd be very important. Anyway, what fw are you running? mine is 012.020, and I think there is 13.xx or sth abailable
