Nokia 5700 XpressMusic Browser Crash

My Nokia 5700 XM's Web Browser crashes as soon as i run it.
As soon as i click on "Browser", it seems like opening, but quits suddenly.. Please let me know how to restore it.. I'm very much in need of it..
And also some of the applications seem to remain in the phone though i've removed it completely.. The icons of the removed applications will still be present, even after uninstalling..

Nokia 5700 XpressMusic Bluetooth Headset connectiv...

Just bought a new 5700 and the phone just hangs as soon as i conntct it to my jabra bt200 headset. I got it replaced with a new one twice but with the same result. It's got the latest firmware and no third party softwares installed. Anyone facing the same problems or anyone using the headset without problems, I'd love to hear from u. I love the phone and am not willing to part with it, any suggestions on this will be of a great help....

Try to update or re-install the software of your device. Then, check if you can connect your Bluetooth headset to your phone. Check herethe steps to update software.

Weird Nokia 5700 XpressMusic Problem

two days ago my phone started to do so weird stuff.
Even though i squeezed my mind trying to find a solution , nothing!
Here is the prob:
it seems like the twist has gone wrong, a discrepancy.
when i twist the camera up it's the music player that shows etc
and i cannot dial any digital key since then, i have to turn it off then on to.
Plzzz HELP, i really doubt if it is a software problem

i have exactly the same problem and ive spent ages looking for a solution... anybody help?????
also my 5700 stopped alerting me wen i get a txt.. now i have to regularly check my inbox

Nokia 5700 Lock Code Problems

Hi All
This is what I do.
Menu - Settings - Phone Settings - General - Security - Phone and Sim - Lock Code
When I select Lock Code it asks me to enter the Lock Code so I enter ANY number over 5 digits, it asks for a new lock code so I enter 67890 (5 digits), Asks to verify so I re-enter it correctly and I get a code error.
If I repeat this process 5 times it says I've entered the Lock code incorrectly and can't do it again for 5 minutes.
It also asks for this code when I attempt to reset the phone to which I enter 12345 and it errors, plus it asks for the lock code when I try to set up a timed phone lock.
If I enter any 4 digit code it just asks for Lock Code again.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

I too attempted to take it to a Nokia Service Centre, who reflashed it but to no avail.
I then took it to an independant mobile repair centre and he was able to resolve the problem.
He advised that the lock code had been changed and they were able to read it (giving me the old code which I didn't recognise) and then resetting it to 0000.
I would have thought the NSC reflash would have resolved this.

After A Full Anlysis Of Nokia 5700 Xpress Music I want To Inform Nokia Those Changes Which Need To Be MAde In Nokia 5700 New Firmware.
Here They Are:
* Music Player SHould HAve Exit Button [It takes 2mb Ram When Run In Background].
* There Must An Application To Run Phone In Landscape Mode.
* Loudness Of Music Must Be Enhanced.
* Music Player Should Be Paused While There Is NAy Incomming Call.
* Camera Quality Should Be More Better.
* Camera Zoom Should Be 10X or More.
* More Visulaization Should BE Added.
* When Create ANy New Folder In Images Folder Through Gallery and Move All Images To Newly Create Folder Then Only One Image Moved To That Folder. This Bug Should Be Fixed.
* Radio Sound Must Be More Louder.
* There Must Be Option To Remove Themes Via Application Manager.
* Warning Tones Must Be Fast. Warning Tones Heard After 2 sec Of The Notification.
* Loudness Option Should Work As It Is Not Working In The Current Firmware.
* The Phone Restart Automatically, This Bug Should Be Fixed.
* There Must Be 25-30 mb free Ram Available as In The Current Version Only 18 mb Free Ram Is Available.
* MAps Should Be There In New Firmware.
I am Sure That Nokia Will Consider These Things While Releasing The New Firmare For Nokia 5700.

Nokia 5700:Threat to N91?

Nokia has announced the new 5700 XpressMusic yesterday. And it says that it has a dedicated audio chip. Is it the same as what is in N91? So I guess the sound quality of the 2 phones is the same also without WLAN,HDD and with plus Symbian 9.2,369 MHz Single ARM Core processor video calls camera equals a lot cheaper, 350 euros.

It's predecessor is Nokia 3250 which proved to be less problematic
Just look at its spec:369 MHz single core processor with rich dual camera telephony,although 900 mAh battery is alil' bit poor tho'.
The REAL Spec includes:
64 MB SDRAM, 128 MB ROM
- ARM 11, 369 MHz CPU
35 MB of user memory
And ensures 18 MB of free RAM.
I also heard
it has a dedicated music chip.If so,guess it will be atleast same as N91.

Problem with Nokia 5700's audio adapter

I have recently updated my Nokia 5700's firmware with the newest version. But now I can't use my audio adapter(this thing: http://img114.imageshack.us/img114/7485/adapteryb4.jpg ) which is connected with the headphones. While I listened to music, I tried to press any of the music control buttons but they didn't work. I am sure it is not broken and the problem is from the firmware, because the adapter was perfectly working before the update. Does anyone have a solution?

it's not bacause of the update you did. it's the damned thing itself. Main died several mounts ago. There's a problem with the battery inside the remote control. NOKIA you give all customers new ones through care centers.

My Nokia 5310 Xpressmusic master code not working

i am using nokia 5310 Xpressmusic and my phone IMEI is xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx that i got by using *#06# and using this IMEI i got the master code for my mobile is 4604172520 but while i try to restore factory setting this master code is not working please help me to retrieve my phone master code so that i can reset my phone.

The "master codes" are a myth, and don't work!
If you forgot your phone's security code, only a Nokia Care Point can reset the security code.

Please, remove the battery and tell us your product code which is printed on the sticker (seven letters).

hi all please help in a tricky issue , i have an Nokia 5130 XpressMusic and i try to update the software , of course i make a backup for all contact software profile all in the phone but after updating i loose original profile even aplication like calculator them all , egalizator from media .. all , i try to restore my backup but only restored things are my contact..

Hi, you will have to visit a Nokia care point with your device and hopefully they will be able to sort out the issues. There isn't really anything we can help you with here other than suggest a consultation at a NCP.
For some other time I suggest you post a better quality picture. I think I can see the two short cuts you refer to, but Its a bit blurry. Looks like the picture has been taken with a calculator or something

Latest version of OVI Maps available here:http://maps.nokia.com/services-and-apps/ovi-maps/free-downloads#/nokia-5800-xpressmusic/
You need to download regional maps to your device with OVI Suite, microSD needed in 5800 and OVI Maps run once with memory card in place.
You don't need a network connection for OVI Maps application to work but the Assisted GPS feature does require network connection for rapid positional acquisition, found in "Location" application.

Sometimes when i don't use my phone for sometime and decide to twist the base to play music or take a photo, the phone turns itself off! This is getting pretty annoying and i'd ike someone to give me a solution to this problem.
