Nokia 5800 Delivery Report

Usually after sending your text I'll get back "Delivered to <someone>"...
Then this morning when I woke up and try to send messages, I don't get that notification anymore... But if I go to Messaging > Delivery reports, they still say delivered...
Or if I go Options > Settings > Text Message > Receive report, it is ON...
PLS HELP....

I'm probably being a bit stupid here, but I can't find anything in the N8 online manual! How do you switch on delivery reports for when you send text messages, to see if someone has A) recieved your text, and if possible B) read it!

Delivery reports are a network feature so it's not surprising that Nokia could not help you with them.
If they stay pending then it's likely that you are on a network that doesn't support them or the service isn't enabled on your account (for example you are on a network that charges for delivery reports).
If your network does not support them all you can do is disable the feature and delete the pending reports. If deleivery reports are essential to you then you'll need to switch to a network that does support them.

Nokia lumia sms status report or delivery report

I bought a lumia 620 just two days back.Mainly what made buy a nokia lumia 620 rather than Htc 8s is that some OEM features..which only Nokia and Sony provides,like sms,mms delivery....out going call waiting notification (may be called gsm supplimentary services).I went for Nokia cause their good audio quality.But what make me regret that what my Nokia 1202 can do,that the new sophisticated lumia cant do.Like sms status report on nokia 1202 when swicthed "on" ,and it gets the delivery report its updated the message item in the sent box with a tick mark .That what i expected from my nokia,which should change the color of the bubble on the message thread,but sadly it deosnt do that.It just give "message delivered to 0000000" in a separate thread in my inbox,where that old tiny 1202 shows "message delivered to BOB". In lumia the thing is happening is that a network code were send like " *n*h hello" . where recepient get only the "hello" and sender get a a message "message delivered to 0000000".What happened to nokia programmer ??why are they implementing something so primitive,where they used to put those sophisticated code on those simple 1202's.

Go to Menu > Messaging > Options > scroll down to Settings > Text message > scroll down to Receive report - default value = No

Delivery Report Pending? (Nokia 5200)

Ok yeah i know what pending means, that is not what i am asking. It says i have pending delivery reports on all the messages i have sent from my phone, but i know for a fact they have been sent (tested it with a phone in the same house). If i am correct, i should get at least a delivery confirmation, and that it should stop saying the message is pending. Am i misreading what the phone is supposed to be doing, or is something wrong?
For those who aren't sure where i am looking, take these steps; Menu, Messaging, go down 6 to 'Delivery Reports', and when in this section, it says the name it was sent to and the time it was sent (without selecting the report), BUT it says 'Waiting'. What is the waiting? I would have thought if it was in the folder then it has been sent, but it doesn't make it clear enough.

According to your description, I understand that message cannot be delivery to all internal recipient when send one newsletter to 4 internal DG and external account, however external users receives fine.
If I misunderstand your concern, please do not hesitate to let me know.
Pending means either the destination for the e-mail message hasn't yet been found or the message could be pending approval.
I want to double confirm whether the 170 users could receive the message or only can’t receive this message.
Is there error message get back to sender after some time? Please try to send message to all 4 DG and try to reproduced this issue.
Then help to collect relevant event log and
protocol log for further analysis.

Getting message tone with delivery report in Nokia...

Whenever i send a txt message , with every delivery report i get a message tone which is very annoying. Solution please.. :s

Hi Jayoza,
Try going under Profile personalisation and set Warning Tones to OFF, then check again.
Also go Messaging-->Settings-->Service message-->set to 'OFF'.
We would recommend you to try one after the other and see which one will help. But report back and let us know if this has helped.

1. music player have too much problem and player hang too much,too much ,too much.and earased playlist and all songs in playlist and from music player then i should earase songs from my phone then retransfer to phone
2.music player sometimes hang at the end of song and I should restart my phone!!!
3.Oh INTERNET!often when I work with internet and click above a link phone hanging and restart browser and I huffy!!!
4.messageing has not recently use numbers and I should alwayes add my numbers from contacts but nokia java mobiles in part of "To" has recently used numbers shortcut!!!

2. Their different teams. As I said, this is not a big issue unless more people send emails to Nokia asking for it, and no, as far as I can see, only a minority cares for this issue. Nokia will not spend to develop something in an OS that only a few people care about.

7. It seems you do not understand what "country dependent" means. It depends upon your country's rules and regulations if this is available, and if the majority of the countries in the world are making laws for the prohibition of silent cameras, Nokia cannot do anything about it. If they break this law, then that country will not allow Nokia phones to be sold in that country, which is bad for Nokia. Personally I dont understand why people want to remove shutter sound.
9. The setting to get 16:9 ratio is yes, software, but you also have to consider the sensor hardware. The sensor hardware is able to receive light in the same ratio as the pictures, and not in 16:9 ratio. Hardware cannot be adjusted. You yourself said you work with an SLR camera, and if you look through the viewfinder, you see that the camera lens sees the view in a "square" ratio as well like the phone. Creating software to render a picture in 16:9 ratio is just simply creating software that cuts off the reception of light in the top and bottom part of the picture so as to create a 16:9 effect. Meaning the camera is not utilizing the full 3.2 megapixels of the phone, and the result is just the same as getting the picture you took and editing it on your PC to show a 16:9 ratio.

Nokia Ovi Suite and Nokia 5800 crashing after fw u...

When I start my Nokia Ovi Suite (V. 2.2.0.245) it works as usual, I can brows around my content without any problems. As soon as I connect my Nokia 5800 XM (RM-356 V. 51.0.006) it crashes. Worked just fine before I upgraded to the latest version on the phone.

Uninstall Ovi and re-download from Nokia web. Reinstalled Ovi Suite but that didn't work.
I then uninstalled all Ovi and all Nokia related software, cleaned Registry and reinstall Ovi Suite: Failed to fix.
Then I installed Nokia PC Suite 7.1.40.1 which worked just fine with 5800 XM (RM-356 V. 51.0.006). I had no problems making backups or to synchronize.

Then I installed Nokia PC Suite 7.1.40.1 which worked just fine with 5800 XM (RM-356 V. 51.0.006). I had no problems making backups or to synchronize with Nokia PC Suite.
Made a complete backup on my phone.
Installed Nokia Software Updater and I reinstall the latest FW 51.0.006 to my phone.
Then I organized my content for a few minutes.
Shut down Nokia PC Suite and Nokia Software Updater.
Started up Nokia Ovi Suite.
Connected my phone and clicked on PC-Suite on the options.
It now works again????
Something happened when I installed PC Suite that enabled me to use my Nokia 5800 with Ovi Suite again.

Need Help in Disabling Delivery Report Sound

Hi,
I am having Nokia 5630 Xpress Music phone and I am using it for almost 2 years. Recently it was freezing badly and I had reset it to factory settings. Now when I receive the delivery report for my text message sent, it comes with a message notification sound alert. It appears for a few seconds as if a new message is being received and then that message symbol vanishes. It is annoying and I wanted the delivery report to be received as just a notification and not as a message. Please help.

New firmware update for nokia 5800 is available for India. We are able to update it through Pc suit software update but nokia care is saying that no such official update is available. Lots of people already upgraded to new version and they are facing many problems. 1. Same is the case. However, this is not a problem and digitally locked files are supposed to work this way. The solution would be to visit the nearest Nokia care center and have this unlocked, or wait hoping that Nokia would release OTA unlocking similar to N95

Updating Nokia 5800 XM Prob

I tried to upgrade my 5800 OTA, it started downloading but when it reached the middle it stopped and reported
"network unavailable." though i could use Fringe, so it wasn't problem with my connection, I thought it was something to do with Nokia's Server.
I tried again and now it shows "No Update Available" , though just a minute ago it shouwed, I hard Reset my phone and what not but it just doesn't show the update. any ideas ?? it sucks..

I have to disagree strongly on that!
Upgrading your phone via OTA is the easiest and safest way to upgrade your device there can be...
Go to Menu --> Settings --> Phone --> Phone mgmt. --> Device update --> Options --> Check for updates
You´ll need a WiFi or any other full internet access point to make it work! And your battery should be at least 3/4 full or connected to the charger.
The advantage of this is that the "data preservation" won´t wipe your phone and you don´t have to set it up again...
By clicking the "Kudos!" or the "Solution?" button on the right you can say "Thank You" and you´ll show the author and others that the post is useful.

Latest Firmware version for Nokia 5800 in India?

I am currently using a Nokia 5800 with firmware version v50.0.001.
I have installed the latest Nokia Suite (3.7.22) and it reports that there are no firmware updates available. I tried to find the updates using the Menu->Applications -> S.W Updates as well. This doesn't report any firmware updates either.
But the Nokia India page for 5800 states that the latest version is 60.

Availability of update depends on Product Code / Region. Also, for Network locked devices, update is possible only after an approval from the Operator. Seems oone of these is preventing you from getting the update. As both FOTA nad Nokia Suite is not providing you with the update there is nothing that you can do except asking your local Nokia Care whether they can help you ...

Delivery reports are not received to MMS which are...

Hi,
I am currently using a nokia supernova 7210 handset & I am able to send & receive MMs without any problems .
but the delivery reports are not received by the senders for the MMs which are sent to me.
In MMS settings , I have configured to retrieve incoming MMS messages.
The delivery reports are received by the senders if retrieve MMs manually.
Please let me know if anyone knows the answer for this.

Lumia 800 - Ascending ringtone, Delivery report so...

Hello
I have 3 issues with my L800:
1) There seems to be no option to enable my ringtone to progressively get lauder and the same with sms sounds. Both worked on older Nokias i had.
2) Delivery report is recieved as a sms with sound. Can it be set to be silent?
3) I have read the PDF thread but there was no solution. My region is Slovenia and I can't download Adober Reader. I just need one PDF reader. There are only converters on the marked or am I missing something?

The media player will remain in paused mode when playback finishes. If you want to remove the player you can use the app Stop The Music which is available in Marketplace.
