Nokia 5800 Preloaded songs Activation key

Experts,
I have updated my Nokia 5800 with nokia software updater but after update the software I restore factory setting then preloaded 218 songs does not work properly and ask for activation key.
Also I dont have pin for my mobile that comes with music
Please help me to find solution

I had the same problem . I approached the local Nokia Care Centre and they activated the DRM (preloaded songs) without any charge. The process takes about an hour and is done free of cost. Please do not forget to take the original receipt (bill) vide which you have purchased the phone.

Nokia 5800 and wpa shared key problem

I've got an Orange livebox as a router. When trying to connect the wi-fi I'm asked for a WPA shared key. I input the WEP key of the Live box and it comes up as invalid WPA key. I have put in the right number and 'paired' the livebox with pressing button 1. I've also reset the phone and livebox with no result. Is the WPA key the same as the WEP key? Anyone know the answer?

I've got a livebox also. When I was setting up my wifi I was asked for "pre shared key" on the 5800 which is your WEP No on the bottom on the livebox.
I tapped that in (make sure you use caps) pressed "1" on the livebox then select on the phone.
Worked first time for me.

Real Player - Nokia 5800

Hi all,
While watching Videos on the Nokia 5800, the three buttons/keys and the Media Key stays on "Light On".
Its rather irritation while watching movies when its dark.
Is there any way to turn them off. ? ? ?

I just called Nokia support and we dicused that, he said that he will forward my feedback...
I belive if more poeple who ownes a nokia 5800 called them and complained about that problem instead of beeing cowards and lazy and waiting for other poeple to solve thier problem, that they acctualy could help out and make a different, Call them and complian... Thanks to all you who try =)

Not allowed by activation key with nokia 3500c

Salaam alikoum all
i have nokia 3500c
when I want change my ringing from music I have
its error out to me say
1..when i click on music i want option + (use tone) its invisible +click on it say
not allowed by activation key
the pictors down:
1. Go to the song I want to Make it respond when one
2.then click on option
3. after i click on Is not visible (use tone) the message out to me say
(not allowed by activation key)

It clearly means that the preloaded contents were locked - and only an activation key can free them. You can get them by either downloading the key(the file should have an option) or asking it from O2.

Songs locked in Nokia 5800

I got my Nokia 5800 on 3rd Jan in India.
I was not able to install any application that is available with "Download" app in phone. It was giving "certificate expired" error.
After reading some forums, for this problem I did soft and hard reset my phone 1 time each.
After that, installation problem got solved.
But now whenever I try to play any song, it asks "song is locked. Unlock now?". When I say "No", the song shows lock icon & cannot be played. If I say "yes", it opens browser window and does nothing.
Please help me. I can play not a single song due to this.
So, whats the use of my xpressMusic?

Had the same issue with my New Nokia 5800 brought in India yesterday. i.e
1) Initially application install would fail with Expired certificate. Then after searching the forums found about the soft reset of the phone using *#7370# to fix this problem.
2) Doing the reset above fixed the application install problem HOWEVER
3) NOw all the pre-loaded songs are locked up. And even if I select get license for the song, it opens a blank browser window.
4) I tried the factory reset (Rather factory defaults option in settings). It still doesn't fix the problem.
I am really fed up with Nokia because of this
a) My Nokia N95 display conks of first
b) Next I buy 5800 and it doesn't install applications by default
c) On trying the fix mentioned in the forum, all pre loaded contents get locked up
d) The Map application for India still doesn't show the National High way ANY MORE (other than those linking the NINE cities for which detailed map is there). When in REALITY the ORIGINAL MAP SET FOR INDIA with the Original Loaded MAP application in initial N95 showed it perfectly when I brought it. But after the first Map update last year, I lose that functionality, and even now it is still missing.

Song's Format for Nokia 5800 Xpress Music

Am new to Nokia 5800 .... and I think that this is some weird problem I am facing ...
I got trannferred some songs through bluetooth (source :- bollywood.com) which are in mp3 format .I have saved the songs in external memory card which I can view in Albums section of Music Library .. Now when I try to play these songs, I can see a small yellow triangle indicating some error ,hence am not able to play these files through Music Library . However if I try to play the same songs from external memory (have to put extra effort to pick each individual song to play)its working fine.
I dont know ,what is the issue or what am I doing wrong ..
Plz help me .

May be the file is poor quality... use OVI suite player to upload. it will work fine

Unable to play/activate preloaded songs in Nokia 5...

Hi Experts,
I purchased nokia 5130 phone yesterday which comes with 60 preloaded songs. While trying to run the songs under folder 'Music' it asks to activate the ".dcx" file which dosent happens even if I try.
When I asked the Nokia priority shop owner he pointed that there is no SIM so that could be a reason. Even after putting the SIM I am having the same issues.
Is there any way I could ACTIVATE these songs, these songs seems to be locked somehow...
Any help is highly apprecaited.

its nothing to do with sim have you tried going through the music player with through the menu.also try use the pc suite to see if they come up on list and see if they can be played on it

Had a hard drive failure. Office wants a key to start up after backup. Was preloaded when I bought the laptop. How do I get activation key?

I had a hard drive failure on my MacBook Pro last week and had it replaced by Apple. When I restored my computer with a Time Machine backup, Office 2011 wants an activation key to start up again. Problem is, I had Office pre-installed when I bought my MacBook by Apple. Where do I get the activation key to get it working again?

Activation Key's

I have been downloading a large number of fulltrack music songs onto my nokia N91 and have encountered a problem with regards to Activation keys. I had no problem at first, but i have now developed an issue when trying to play tracks. It says that the activation key is expired when i know for a fact that they are not. I have run through all suggestions as per the manual and hoped someone here may have a suggestion as to a resloution to my issue. Thanks

Hey pal! If your PC is still functional, and has the originally liscenced OS on it still, then you can find the liscence in your PC.
I'm not familiar with the process, because I've not done it before, but I know you can.
Also, if the version of Windows you're trying to install was the version originally installed on your PC, then look around your laptop/desktop for a sticker with the code on it, that is your Key.
If you can't find the key at all, you may have to repurchase Windows, which would suck.

Things I found are missing in nokia 5800 Express M...

Tsup guys, I`m having this new release of nokia s60 5th edition (Nokia 5800 Express Music) but since I bought it last month I`ve started discover some features are not working as I always used to see them to my previous handset (Nokia n73-1). At my previous nokia n73 when I`m on playing music that I`ve store in my handset and then the I receive the sms message its only makes a light beep sound even if I`m on profile that setted another alter tune for sms but in this nokia 5800 when sms comes in the middle of track playback its pause for a time from plyaing the song then start ring the current profile`s sms alter tune then keep on playing the track. On the side of adding sms recipients, if your forwading an sms to more than one person then you`ve started adding recipients by either searching or scrolling you might face some of the contacts doesn`t appear in your list after adding some others even if you do it by search contacts for typing the first alphabets of the recipients you are searching. So in order to get them you`ve to select OK then select the ADD RECIPIENTS again then you will find the contacts that were not seen before. Lastly, on the message writing. When I use the HANDWRITING style, I can write my things well but still up to know I`ve not yet find the area where I can erase the words that I`ve wrotes. Instead I`m supposed to change the keyboard type so as I can get the erease key. Can anybody help me to locate where can I find the erease key when I`m in mode of HANDWRITING style that uses a given special touch-screen pencil. I`m using it which means I`II keep discover many more things that seems these nokia have lack in this model & if there is anybody else found something please don`t hesitate to contribute here too. I know that is my fault but i getted some viruses on my nokia 5800 xpress music! I do not know the type of the viruses but all i know is that is eating my memory! Even if i erased all things, i still have at sis aplications to much memori in phone so i have 0 kb memory in C at phone! Can you help me? I tryed to put again the software but i only get a new version on it or the same version and the viruses remain there! Help me please because I started to miss my phone...

Do this:
A hard reset (x6, 5800 and 5230 only) is done by the following (warning, this deletes all data on your phone):
1.) Turn off the phone and remove battery for 5min
2.) Reinsert battery
3.) Press and hold the green, red and camera buttons. DO NOT LET GO.
4.) While holding the three buttons, press the power key to boot the phone up.
5.) Keep on pressing until you see the country selection screen.
A correctly done hard reset would show you that everything on the phone (contacts, messages, calendar entries, etc) would be deleted. So it is advisable to back them up. Upon restoration, do not restore settings or files if possible.
Also, format your memory card. Just make a copy of your songs and pictures on your PC.

Music Activation key issue

I recently purchased a Nokia 5220 xpress music phone, I was given some free music songs with it.
I was asked to send a sms and will receive activation keys for the songs. All went well I was shown a message
"Receive Activation key from untrusted source" and i keep doing "ok". I received around 50 such keys.
but my songs are still locked and are not playing. Activation keys are not working.
Am i missing any step?
Pls suggest.
