Nokia 5800XM problems, help pls

hi, my nokia 5800XM got problems like, i can't view the pictures and video clips in the "images and videos" page, and it's same even i updated FW to v50, beside that, right after i updated the FW to v50, all my songs was unable to display on the songs list, but they do exist in the memory card...
anyone help pls~

try removing the battery and sim card for approx 5-10 minutes. reinsert sim and battery power it on, if that does not work you will have to take it to nokia care i am afraid. there is nothing else one can try.

Nokia 5800xm problem

dear friends,
i bought a nokia 5800xm with mc 8gb at augest-2009 and didnt have any problem with that, i installed some software and some themes ,for ex: i installed smart movie to view avi files and symtorrent application for downloading songs frm net its all worked and i installed some usefull application frm internet the all software are worked perfectly thats no problem at all but suddenly ( ex:smart movie software ) after opening and closing ,again if i open smart movie software its trying to open but it will not open the application just its will not open but it will try to open but it will not open no files will be played and same problem in symtorrents also ,and some other application also and after i unistall that application and off the mobile and restart and again i need to install that same software and its will work perfectly and if try to play 5 files /6 files and after seeing that avi song or movie its will get same problem again and in symtorrent i will get some files download and if got this problem its will also not working if uninstall its will take all download files frm my mc so all downloading are waste of time so what the solutions any know are anybody to help my friends( finaly i need to open that application again with out reinstallation )thank u - white elephant my software version : v.5.00

I would contact Smart Movie to see if its a known bug first . Then you can back up format and do a hard reset .

Nokia 5800xm - Problem while taking backup on PC ...

While taking backup of my Nokia 5800xm on PC at the end it displays :The backup was finished but errors occured when backing up the phone contents. For more information see the backup report. The report suggested to try again after restarting the phone but no difference.. At the end it says Contacts, Calender and Messages can not be backed up as not enough memory...
Pl. help

Tried the backup thru' OVI Suit there is no such error message. Then again with Nokia Suit it shows error. Now this is confusing. I am having doubt whether it will be OK if I need a restore from the one thru' OVI Suit and all my data including Contacts, Calender entries, Messages will be restored totally..

Hi there.. i have just bought my nokia 5800 last month.. and now im experiencing a minor problem.. the problem with my phone is whenever im surfing the web with my phone using the original nokia web browser.. and when a new sms comes in a message icon will appear next to my time display which is the top left corner of the phone... and when i click on that icon to display my message the message just wouldnt pop out.. and i would have to old down my menu button juz to switch to the opened messaging application to view that message... please help me with my problem.. thanks~

that happens with mine as well, but i think its because there is an active internet connection. You just can't simply shut that out since you might lose valuable data, so I think its better that way, prioritizing internet over the message which we could simply access anyway.

Macbook 2.0 intel core duo ALL KINDS OF PROBLEMS HELP PLS

This all started last week. In an effort to be more economical, I decided to keep my macbook and not get a new one. The battery was not doing well...so i bought a new one. I purchased Leopard and tried to install it...it installed but after it just stayed stuck on the gray apple screen. I tried troubleshooting. I reinstalled Tiger that came with it and it had the same problems. Anyways...a couple days ago I tried to reinstall Tiger again and it started working. I have been having problems with the rainbow wheel coming up all the time...so I figured maybe the ram is bad. I ordered new ram from crucial. I got it today and installed it and now the macbook will not even power up. I followed the troubleshoot guidelines and even installed the old ram again nothing.
So, I'm stuck. Is the logic board again? I had it replaced like 7 months after getting the macbook and now it is out of warranty. Please help. Thanks

Since you say it worked to some degree but then not at all after installing new RAM and then after reinstalling the old RAM it would not even work as well as it had prior to the RAM installs, then it sounds like one possibility could be that the logic board is failing do to cracked circuit traces (caused by thermal cycling) and the removing and reinstalling the RAM exacerbated the problem.
The next thing I would try to do would be to cool down the computer to 50F or so and try it. Next try heating it up to 90F or so and try again. The temperature changes can affect a defective logic board. Not that this will solve your problem, but it can tend to validate the possibility of a defective board.

NOKIA 6111 PROBLEMS HELP PLEASE!!!!

RECENTLY BOUGHT AN UNLOCKED NOKIA 6111, IT WORKS GREAT AND I CHANGED THE SETTINGS TO 02 AS I'M ON THAT NETWORK BUT I CANNOT GET ON THE WAP INTERNET AS IT KEEPS SAYING SUBSCRIBE TO PACKET DATA AND I DONT KNOW HOW TO DO THIS AT ALL ? CAN ANY ONE HELP ?

You have to contact O2 and get them to send you the configuration settings as a configuration message which you can then save onto your phone.

2GB MiniSD Showing 1GB in My Nokia N93? Help Pls.

Nokia c7 problem help!

guys do have the same problem when u view lighter colored pictures for example the sky there are some super thin lines passing like it's raining....is it normal with amoled because i don't notice that on phones with lcd screen...please answer my question guys.cos it's bothering me..
and also i think i don't have the purple screen issue (i've checked the analog clock screen saver and it's completely normal) but whenever i'm watching videos..there is blotchiness is dark areas,like for example a video of live concert downloaded from the net...help me please

hello i have problem with my memory i have this matherboard p4 MSI 875P NEO - FIS2R <SK-478> i have 3 memorys 2X 256 <pc3200> and 512mb <pc3200>
i poot them in the sllots starting from left

Test your ram with Memtest86
You don't need to put ram in all slots.

Nokia 6111 Problem (HELP NEEDED BADLY)

hi, i just ordered and recieved this phone, and i put in the sim card at everything seems to be working just right. but i notced that no matter were i am i dont get any cell phone reception? im in a good area that has great cell phone reception. Is their any way for me to fix this? ohh and my cell phone provider is Cellone wich was bought out by AT&T

as mentioned most ebay phones from far east end up being fake, but as it's a 6111 it may jst be a damaged antenna problem, best thing to do is take it up with the seller, if you have no luck with them, then log a dispute.
if you dont mind can you post the ebay link to the listing for this phone or the sellers name?

Apple tv youtube login problem ,, help pls

i faced a problem with my apple tv 3g , everytime i try to log in to youtube , i even changed the youtube account but still showing error message ,

Update: Talked to Apple support. ATV works when connected via ethernet cable, so issue is in the wireless part of the ATV or settings in the router. Apple sent me a list of ports the ATV uses, but I can't see anywhere in the router config that any port at all is blocked. Obviously, I now have a workaround, but I'd still like to get wireless working if possible.

Help - Nokia N96 Problems

I hope someone can help me out here.
I have had the Nokia N96 as part of an 18 month contract on O2 UK since April and ever since i've had the phone, I've had nothing but problems with it and i'm really am up to the point where I'm so fed up with it, I'm taking my other phone on PAYG with me everywhere I go.
I find the N96 is extremely slow at loading up messages, it's sometimes slow at keeping up with your texting, it has 3 times this year deleted every message in inbox, drafts & sent after the phone has been switched off. It's also restarted itself on a number of occassions.
Today, my phone went flat because I hadn't charged it up and so when I got home, I put it on charge and turned the phone on so I could check my messages. The annoying thing is, the home screen wouldn't load up the icons or the text for 'Messaging' and 'BBC iPlayer' so I went to the menu (as you would) and selected 'Messaging'.
"Messaging: Already in use" is the error I get. Clearly, it's not in use, so I took the phone off charge, removed battery etc etc. Still same problem, done a firmware update, still same problem, reset the phone, still the same problem.
I can not find a solution for this, really in a foul mood because of this as I am unable to send messages or view messages on my phone.

With all these operations I recommend you TAKE OUT MEMORY CARD and DO A BACK UP OF YOUR STUFF!!!
NOTE: In front of the hash key ( #) there is also a STAR key that people often miss and state that the code does not work.
1.. *#7780# - Restore factory settings - resets all the settings to the default ( you will not lose any data) Make sure you back up your data as you will lose all of it when you perform option 2 or 3 on this list. The default code for ALL operations listed here is 12345.
2.*#7370# - Reformat your phone (out of the box, tho keep in mind that most newer nokia phones at least n series, e series and s60 based phones have udp - user data preservation so not ALL data may be lost. still it is a good idea to always do a back up of your stuff.)3. This you perform as a last resort. Nothing else is working.If the phone is not showing any activity, proceed with hard formatting , turn off your phone, hold the following buttons while pressing the power button. (the default code is 12345)
3. hard reset - hold the following buttons * (star key), 3 (number button) and talk/green key. turn on the phone and do not release those buttons until you see the Nokia boot up screen. once you feel the phone power up you can let go off the power button while still holding all three buttons ( for Nokia 5800XM - use the following buttons to do a hard reset, /GREEN/RED/CAMERA keys pressed all at once on power up. this will only work on 5800's that have firmware version 20... and up. ) For Nokia N97 (unofficial version but works) is SHIFT /SPACE BAR / BACKSPACE while holding the power button. Again do not let go until you see the handshake screen.
If these codes are not working the only thing for you to do is contact your Nokia Care Center/Service for assistance.

i have updated my nokia 5800XM to v52.0.007 but i have a problem. i have many applications installed on the previous version. they still work on this firmware version but how do i remove or update them because most of them are not showing in the application manager, as like before in the previous version.
Any help would b appreciated.

I'm afraid you're dealing with memory card corruption... If you can't access the App Manager under Settings, after you start the phone without the memory card, then the issue is more serious and quite likelly you'll have to hard reset the phone.... if possible save and backup messages, contacts, notes and bookmarks to your PC using Ovi Suite...
Also you should save everything you can and know on your memory card (photos, music, videos, etc) and format it... You should lose the maps previously installed and have to install them again.
Most often this type of corruption occurs with Widget Installer application that, on phone start-up, scans the contents of phone and card memory for install files for widgets... also themes on memory card don't do anything good to avoid corruption of it.
You can try PC suite to manually remove applications that might be causing issues, but my experience with it tells me that it will fail to adquire app list when phone is misbehaving like that....
Memory card corruption happenned me about two or three times, I formatted the card and everything worked after that... The biggest pain for me was to download the maps again.... nokia needs a offline installer of the maps.... downloading 3Gb at 40Kb/s everytime memory card gets corrupted it's not good...
5800xm on a blender ... will happen sooner than expected.... v51 is a failure as an update .... v52 just postponed its fate....

HELP PLS! reprogram voicemail key (1) in nokia 880...

HELP PLS!
I need to reprogram the voicemail key (=1) in a nokia arte 8800 and dont know how!
In the user manual it tells you to go to messaging... and there to voice messages... it looks easy and simple BUT this phone doesnt have that option in messaging... no "voice messages" in sight at all..!
So I'm getting nuts and odnt know what else to do.
Any ideas pls?!

Hmmm...on mine it does have the option, once in messages, then voicemail, under this option, there are only two, one of which is the voice mailbox number, this should be set to the number of your voicemail service (for Vodafone, it's 121).
Do you not have this option? If not you could program the number as a speed dial which should then do the same.
