How to install nokia 6020 modem drivers?

i have a nokia 6020 phone,i want to used it as a modem for my pc but i cant install the .inf file that i downloaded... tnx for helping!

My Nokia is 6020, I would like to use it as a modem for a notebook (with Windows XP).I have CA-42 cable with a disk, so Nokia PC Suite was installed on my notebook, but attempt to connect to the Internet was fault because the notebook regarded the built-in modem as appropriate one and the only potential. So I downloaded Nokia6020IrDA_2000_XP.inf drivers from www.nokia.ru . It didn’t work either. Now it identifies “PC Connectivity Bluetooth Modem - connected to COM6” (that is funny – I have no Bluetooth at all!). All Mobile settings are correct.

this .inf file you dowloaded is not meant to be installed directly but all you have to is to select that file when you are insalling the modem ..go to control pane>phone& modems>modem tab then add new modem then check the option "do not detect my modem let me choose from a list " from this click "have disk" then browse to the loaction of the (Nokia6020Cable_98SE_ME_2000_XP.inf ) that modem driver you have downloaded ...this is the only way to install the file ..configure the rest

Nokia 6020 problem in the US

Hi.
I have a question regarding the Nokia 6020. I'm going to New York next week and last time I went I couldn't get any reception for my phone. I checked with my operator here(Sweden) and they have assured me that it will work. So what is the problem?
It should work as it is triple band. Is there a configuration that I need to change manually?

What band your company in the USA works with? maybe your cellfone does not have the band, eventhough the cellfone is 3band...

[Nokia 6020] Need help retrieving phone contacts

Hi all,
My Nokia 6020's screen is cracked, but the phone powers up properly and I can make/ and receive calls. I no longer wish to use the phone, but want to retrieve the contacts stored in the phone memory.
Option 1) Tried connecting the phone using a brand new, official Nokia CA-42 USB-Serial cable on Windows XP and followed the proper procedure to install the driver (ie, install before plugging in the cable, restart etc), but the PC Suite doesn't detect the phone. Updated to the latest PC suite but it still doesn't detect the phone. Is there any other options I can try out on the PC? Are there any settings that I might have to change on my phone?
Edit: I also tried Mobile Master and Oxygen Phone Manager, but they're not able to detect my phone.
Option 2) Copy all the contacts from phone memory to the sim card. As I cannot see the screen, I have no idea how to do this so would be grateful if someone can guide me through this process.

perform a hard reset... I don't know if this works on nokia s40 phones.i've tried this on nokia 6600( the old fat smartphone)...
make sure your phone is fully charged after doing this...
turn off your phone
remove and reinsert the battery
press call key(the green one), number 3, and * key altogether and pressit wile turning on the phone.
if the phone starts, don't release it yet...
if it shows formatting, release it and wait for a couple...
after that, your phone is fixed and back to the factory settings...

I have bought to connection cables for Nokia 6020, the first was a DKU2, the pc would not recognise this. The second cable is 7210, the pc recognises the connection but I cannot find a driver for this. Any help would be appreciated

I tried my image capture application with SonyEricsson W550 it is working fine, and
I tried the same appliaction with[b] i-mate SP3(Windows CE mobile)and with Nokia 6020 ("Both are MIDp2.0 support "), the application not even loaded and the exception as javax.microedition.media.MediaException
one more thing the value of System.getProperty("video.snapshot.encodings"); become null.
Please tell me what are all the mobiles will support the ImageCapture from Midlet.

The sun article says 3650 will support the MMApi options even its MIDP 1.0, then what about MIDP 2.0 devices(6020).
Somebody said even some devices may MIDP2.0, but it may not be the complete implementation device.
What is mean that .... like either supporting only audio ???

Nokia 6020 wont switch on

i have the nokia 6020, the other day i found my phone swiched off when i tired to turn it on, the lights on the phone turns on for 2-3 seconds then its goes off. The phone is not turning on, this happens every time i press the power button
last time this happened a third day i bought the phone(8 months back)i went to the nokia repair center and then said my phone software has a virus( this is not possible as it was a new phone unless it was a defective phone) so i paid for it and they reinstalled the phone
but now im facing the same problem, what should i do
can i restall the phone myself, last time when i gave it to the nokia care they deleted all the information in the phone
how do i reinstall the phone with out deleting the infomations on the phone.

I assume you have checked that this is not just a battery problem.
Unfortunatly a firmware flash will delete all the items you have provided.Their is no exception to this.
Make a back up of the items you want to re install after the nokia repair centre have carried this out.
I wonder if something in one of the itmes you have downloaded is causing the issues ?

Hi there, the problem is your cable...
The 6020 does not use the CA-53 cable it uses the CA-42, trying to connect it to PC Suite with the CA-53 will not work no matter how many drivers you install.

Nokia 6020 no signal!

hello...please, i need your help!!
Since yesterday, i can't get any signal with my nokia cellphone...i didn't drop it or damaged it...just all of a sudden it stopped getting signal and i haven't been able to get any since....it was on automatic network and i tried with manual, but it still doesnt work, it says "no network access"...how can it be possible??!
What should i do to resolve the problem?

I am not able to use my phone Nokia 6020 and getting the message 'check multimedia settings' at startup.After pressing ok it gives message sending failed. Tried reseting many times but still the same.Basically Iam not able to get in the phone. could someone please help me in solving this .thanks in advance.
