Nokia 6111 messages pending

hey, I sent a picture message yesterday to my old phone cos I know I've been having problems. I sent it at 6 PM and in the delivery reports it's still saying it's pending! It has also took the money. I've tried it a couple more times this morning and it's still saying the same thing.. will it finally get sent or not? It's annoying! hope someone can help, thanks!

If you select Menu > Messaging > Message settings > General settings > Savesent messages > Yes, the sent messages are saved in the Sent items folder

I don't think the phone has such a feature specifically for messages.
It has a general security keyguard code, though. See page 83 in the (English language) User Guide:

Nokia 6111 message problem

Hi , i tried sending a media message and i has not said sent or failed in over 3 days just the little blue sending icon which appears at the top of the phone , i've laso found out that i'm not recieving messages or able to send them successfully , is there anything i can do to sort this out or is there a way to reset the phone , anything ???
i've tried setting being sent and looking in the manual and nothings helped.

is it just mms that does this or is it sms also?
are you able to browse the internet on your phone?
righ now it looks like you are missing some of the settings on your phone, are you on vodafone by any chance?

Email settings in nokia 6111

I have nokia 6111 s40, 3rd edition. I an failing to set/configure email settings. Please anyone to assist. Your help will be highly appreciated.

Do you know where to start configuring? To be honest, I do not have a Nokia 6111. However, if I recall correctly it is either via
Menu » Settings » Configuration » Personal » New » E-mail, or
Menu » Messaging » Message settings » E-mail messages » Edit mailboxes.
Or have you found that already and you face another issue? Which one? For each alternative above, I have a similar phone here to go through the configuration step-by-step together. Just ask!

NOKIA 6111 PROBLEMS HELP PLEASE!!!!

RECENTLY BOUGHT AN UNLOCKED NOKIA 6111, IT WORKS GREAT AND I CHANGED THE SETTINGS TO 02 AS I'M ON THAT NETWORK BUT I CANNOT GET ON THE WAP INTERNET AS IT KEEPS SAYING SUBSCRIBE TO PACKET DATA AND I DONT KNOW HOW TO DO THIS AT ALL ? CAN ANY ONE HELP ?
ALSO IS THERE ANYWAY TO GET THE THEMES OFF THE PHONE OR DO YOU HAVE TO HAVE ONE ?

You have to contact O2 and get them to send you the configuration settings as a configuration message which you can then save onto your phone.

Wallpaper on nokia 6111

Hi there
I have just got the nokia 6111, which is a great phone, but everytime I turn off the phone the wallpaper disappears and have to install it again. Anyone know how to get the wallpaper to remain.

I have also bought 6111 a week back and the problem is when i put the sim card correcly it says that the sim card has not been inserted. Everytime i put it back i get the same answer and no details is given in the manual. Another message comes saying whether to operate the mobile without sim card and either to accept or reject it, this detail also is not given in the manual, it also starts flickering at intervals Can you please help me on this and I really feel frustated i bought this model since there are so many complaints about this model

Problem concerning Nokia 6111 - Contacts

Hello there!
Let me first explain my situation: I have a Nokia 6111 and a couple of days ago I had a small accident with it. My phone took a swim in the swimming pool…
Now, after some hours of drying, I decided to give it a shot. Miraculously, my phone worked. I can scroll through the menus, receive calls, etc. Only one problem remains: my screen is totally broken. I can’t see anything except for the blur caused by the water.
The big problem now is: There are still contacts in my phone, which are not yet on my SIM card. So I was thinking: I copy all my numbers from my phone’s memory onto my SIM card and I buy a new phone.
Problem is that I can see only – let’s give it a percentage: 10% of my screen -. The rest is one big stain caused by the water. So therefore my question: Does anyone here on the board have a transcript of the NOKIA 6111 menus? Or does anyone have the same phone? That way I can copy my numbers onto my SIM card by just clicking without seeing the menus.
I know this can be rather confusing so I give an example. I’m looking for something like this:
Menu => Contacts => Names
=> Settings
=> Groups
=> Copy Contacts => From Phone to SIM
=> From SIM to Phone
=> Delete Contacts
=> Settings
=> Messages
That way, I can try to copy my contacts without seeing the screen. If somebody would be so nice to make a little transcript of the Nokia 6111 menu (or give a link to it, because I can’t seem to find it), it would be a great help.

I have a problem with copying contacts. I connected 6300 with my PC Suite 7.1 via USB. Then I went to Comunication Center. It wrote: reading contacts... Then telephone wrote: Data transmission is impossible.
Results:
Cont.: Is not finished
It is impossible to process all objects
transferred: 0
accepted: 0
Contacts, updated in other device:
new:0
Deleted:0
Refreshed:0
Contacts, updated in other telephone:
New:0
deleted:0
refreshed:0

Nokia 6111 Broken Screen - Turn on Bluetooth

Hi,
I am yet another person with a Nokia 6111 with a broken screen. I have read through multiple foums and found lots of people asking the same question:
What key strokes do I need to turn on Bluetooth?
Remebber: I can not see the screen, so your instructions will need to be something like this:
Center button (opens menu)
Down x3 (Settings)
Select
Down x2 (Connectivity)
Select (etc)
** NOTE: THE ABOVE IS NOT CORRECT - THIS IS AN EXAMPLE! **
If you can exaplin what each stage is doing so much the better.
Once I have turned Bluetooth on I plan on connecting to PC Suite to copy contacts - if you are able to check what I need to do to set up and accept a new connection then I would be REALLY grateful!

Try this:
Centre Button (Menu)
Left
Centre Button (settings)
Down x6
Centre Button x3 (connectivity > bluetooth)
Up (on)
Centre Button (select)
If it works you will hear a beep.
It may be easier to transfer your contacts if you get a data cable.

Nokia 6111 fault

Does anybody else have the same problem with their Nokia 6111.
My handset turns itself off and then back on again, usually whilst sending either text or bluetooth. However, it can also happen at any other time.
I am connected to the orange network?

I will suggest that you visit a Nokia Service Point, you can find the nearest one to you at www.nokia.com/repair.
The engineers there will be able to take a look at your phone and let you nkow what needs to be done to fix it.
If they advise you it cannot be done under warranty they will be able to tell you exactly what is wrong with the phone and how you go about getting it fixed.

Nokia 6111 - big problem!

had my nokia 6111 for a few weeks, no problems, till now! got a message on screen saying 'sim registration failed' and the phone will not work. i've checked the sim in other phones and its fine and i bought the phone sim free so it shouldnt be a problem. can any one hel before i send it back to nokia as i love this phone! thanks x

I do have a big problem with the phone too. It often turn on and off by itself. Right now I can't open the Inbox Folder. It happened when I received an SMS three days ago. In left top of the screen there's a closed envelope icon showing that a new unread msg in my inbox folder. When I open the folder, the phone, the screen became blank (baklit is off) and it on seconds later. Till now, I can't open my inbox. Is there any solution for this. This is a second unit after the first one have the exact problem.

Nokia 6111- "operation failed, try again"

please help me...when i try to get into my Nokia 6111 inbox i get the message "operation failed, try again". i have tried resetting, and putting the battery and sim card back in but nothing changes..please help as i dont know what to do to fix it.... :-(

same has happened to me.
at first I had a broken massege inside my Inbox, which I couldn't delete not matter how I tried. I could access the inbox though.
couple of months later I stopped being able to access the inbox, so I tried to delete all of the sms. 1 sms wasn't deleted but I could access the inbox again.
right now I can access both inbox and sent items but when I go to the last message (by scrolling 1 time up) the same error occurs and it takes me out of the inbox/sent items folder. whenever I turn the cellphone off I get the error when trying to access either folder, but eventually it goes back to point where I can access but gives me error when trying to access the first oldest message.
my cellphone is a 5300 xpress music.
I'd rather exchange this one for an equivalent instead of getting it for repairs, but I'm not sure if the store where I bought it does that.

Help me Nokia 6111 Pc suite not working :(

I have got the Nokia 6111
And i have installed reinstalled etc the pc suite but every time it does not work.
In Saying it does not work~ i meen once connected to the computer it doesnot recognise on the connecting wizard my phone. It just has the timer for ages and ages.
It also pops up saying instlal new hardware but fails every time.
Please help me

Here is something what you could try to do:
1. Uinstall Nokia PC Suite 6.82.22 (or 6.7 or 6.8x) and restart PC.
2. Go to Windows' Control Panel and open "Add or Remove Programs" application.
3. If there are "PC Connectivity Solution" (or "Nokia PC Connectivity Solution" and/or "Nokia Connectivity Cable driver", uninstall those and restart PC.
4. Install PC Suite 6.82.22 and restart PC.
If problem happen again:
1. Go to Windows' Control Panel and open "Add or Remove Programs" application.
3. Select "PC Connectivity Solution", click "Change" and then "Repair".
4. After Repair, restart PC.
And if no help again:
Save RegPCSuiteComponents.bat file to C:\Program Files\PC Connectivity Solution\ folder. Then go that folder and run it (double-click that file). After that restart PC.
Does any of those help you??

Deleting song from nokia 6111

i recently coppied a song onto my nokia 6111 using 'nokia PC suite' - i did it so i could bluetooth the song to my friends mobile,
when i try to delete the song it wont let me. it says 'unable to delete'
when i go to the file manager via PC it wont let me delete it from there either.

hi there i have 6230i and had similar problem. if you have the music on a memory card try to format the card and that should wipe the cards memory and leave it blank. if the song is on the phone make sure you are in music manager and are working in the drop down box select your phone model this should get you to the part that shows which music is on the phone. chech the box for the song and try to delete. hope this helps

my friend is uaing a nokia 6111 but there is an icon at top of screen , don't knoww what it is . it is like a blue arrow pointing up and it has a tail at each side at the bottom, also memory full icon showing when there are no messagea left in phone. anybody help?

this sounds like a message in your outbox folder so check your outbox or drafts folders and empty them, you need to clean up your memo there is not much memo in this model so remove unwanted photos or videos you may have in the phone.just another thing regardin the arrow check for missed calls this is another similar icon but its most likely the message thanks and good luck
