I broke my nokia E75 power button. Every thing is ok. It's chargeing no internal problem. But my phones power button is broken now. Is there any way to on it without using the power button?

    How can i on it??

Sadly you cant you will have to try get it repaired or replaced and at this stage i would say it may be easier to find a replacement then have it repaired.

Don't see any possibility to do that. Only thing to try is to inform the Care point before getting it repaired that it was not possible to back-up data  .. so that they may take necessary steps to preserve it..
The thread starter did mention of an intention to do a quick backup in which is possible without using Nokia Suite. Although messages and contacts might not be recovered with that route.

  • Boot loop and power button broken

    Hi,
I have a new problem with my iPhone 4 8go
Tonight the battery died so when I woke up I plugged it in like I normally do, but after the usual white apple when the phone turns on, I see my lock screen for 2 seconds before the phone shuts down automatically.
If I keep it plugged it stays in a boot loop and just stay off if I unplug it.
I've done my research about that issue, which seems common, and it looks like going in DFSU mode and restore from backup might work.
Problem is, my power button is broken and doesn't work anymore, so I can't do the manipulation with home and power button.
I have downloaded redsnow to try to go in DFSU mode without button but due to the boot loop, the phone is not detected in iTunes...
Is there any way to force the phone in DFSU mode or anything else I can do?

  • Nokia 6220c power button not responding

    Hi,
I have a Nokia 6220c that i have used for abuot 6 months, since then i have upgraded to a newer n82. However having a look back at the 6220c before giving it to my brother, i realised that the power button does not respond.
I know there has been a history with this phone and a stiff power button, so i removed the silver outlining and attempting to press the button with my fingernail and still no success.
The phone charges fine and the screen goes on when the charger is plugged and when any button is pressed (except the power button), however it's just the plainwhite screen with the battery in the top right.
Anyways is there any way i can get the phone on or any other methods i should try, has this happened to anyone or is there a way i could change firmware to maybe the red button? If theres no solution I will have to send this back to Nokia which will be a massive hassle.
Any help will be appreciated. Thanks

Not sure but try this before going to Nokia Care.
.After taking a backup of all you images & videos (i'm assuming you've turned the sync on with skydrive for settings & other data) & keeping a list of all your apps, Reset he phone. If this does not work then only solution will be Nokia Care Centre.

  • IPhone 3G Power button broken, as well as interrupted restore to iOS 4.0.1

So my sleep/wake (power) button on my iPhone 3G is broken, and I tried updating to iOS4 on iTunes 9.2 on my Macbook Pro. So, the restore seems like it's going well, but during the progress indicator process of "Restoring iPhone" (right before it begins to verify,) it got stuck. So, I unplugged the phone thinking it would go into Recovery Mode. However, for the last 3 hours it has had the same screen on the device that you would see if you were restoring the phone. I am trying to make the battery die, but it is taking forever, and I can't put the device into DFU mode because my sleep/wake button is broken. The phone is not under warranty and I do not know what to do. Please help!
    Thanks.

is it possible to turn on an n80 without using the power button? because as far as I can see the phone still works its just annoying i cant turn it on
    thanks for your help
    will

I don't think there is a way, one have to physically depress that switch. Anyway it won't cost you your arm, if you have it fix at Nokia service centre.

  • Turn off iphone power button broken and touchscreen selectively unresponsive

I have an iPhone 4S w/ iOS 7, my power button has broken so I have enabled the Accessibility features in order to lock and unlock my phone.
That has been working fine. Now, my touch screen is selectively responsive. It IS NOT broken or damaged in anyway. I can access the pull down and pull up menus, I can ask Siri to search for something and I can scroll through the responses she returns. I can visit one of those web pages she returns and scroll inside of those as well.
However, any scrolling that is related to a Home screen function I can not perform. For example, I can't "flick" away apps to close them, I can't hold down the "Lock Screen" button which then presents the "Slide to turn off" slider, the touchscreen won't slide the slider... When I do access either the pull down or pull up menus, I can see them but I cannot select anything on them, the touchscreen is unresponsive. When my phone is locked I can't swipe to unlock it.
We do not have home POTS service, so this is my only means of calling for help if I needed to, and now I can't. This is a very unfortunate failure.

    Hi there quixee,
I would recommend taking a look at the troubleshooting steps found in the article below.

  • Nokia E52 power button got detached within 1 month...

    Dear Sirs
I purchased my Nokia E 52 from Delhi on 7.7.2010 and was quite happy with its performance. That's till I switched off my mobile using the power button at Cochin Airport on my way to Delhi. To my surprise, I found the power button detached and falling down from its slot. I took the phone to your Nokia care centre at Faridabad. However, they refused to repair it, telling that the part cannot get detached unless the phone falls down and hits something. However, I have been taking the best possible care for the simple reason that I have paid ~Rs.12000/- for the phone, which I could hardly afford. Now, Nokia care says that I have to replace the entire body of the phone at my own cost (~Rs.1800/-)that too after waiting for 20 days, as the part is not readily available with them. The casual and callous attitude of the employees of the service centre has shaken my confidence in the famous 'Nokia Service' and I have decided to use the phone without the 'power' button just to remind myself of the mistake I did in choosing the Nokia phone. I have also decided never to buy a Nokia phone again, either for myself or for my family members.
I just thought I should bring this to your notice.
    with regards
    Nanda Kumar.P

    Hi,
I have had the same problem. The Power Key has fallen off my E52, through no fault of my own. In fact, it came out of the box that way and has never been used. I cannot find my receipt, so I don't know who to return it to. It's not a cheap phone, so why is the housing made so poorly? I now have a phone that I cannot use and that sits in its box, and I have to use my old phone, which is not as nice.
It's a shame, because Nokia are usually such well made phones. Any suggestions?

  • IPod 4th Gen power button broken, game center and some apps won't load.

iPod 4th generation, iOS 6.1.6, power button is broken (will not click at all, I can't let my iPod run out of battery because I won't be able to turn it back on).
Game center, and some of my apps will not load.
I also have issues with apps and Safari crashing, but that isn't a major problem.
For the apps not loading, I've tried deleting them, and then reinstalling them, but it didn't work.
Is there anything I can do about this?

To reset the iPod without the hardware buttons,
    - Reset network settings: Settings>General>Reset>Reset Network Settings. All your wifi and bluetooth preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected. You will have to rejoin wifi networks and repair BT devices
For Safari problem try going to Settings>Safari and Clear Cookies<data and History.
To turn on an iPod without a Power button just connect the iPod to a charging source

  • EMac power button broken off retaining ring!

Well, we managed soldered the broken power button cable I mentioned back onto the logic board (we did this by cutting off the connector and permanently soldering the cables to the correct spots on the board, BUT, the power button itself is now broken! Here are pics...
    http://pics.livejournal.com/wile_e2005/pic/00056a89/
    Behind the button.
    http://pics.livejournal.com/wile_e2005/pic/00057fq6/
    Retaining ring.
The cable is fine, but now it's the button that is the problem! Does this need to be soldered back on too, or is there some other way? Or should I shell out $20 for a new eMac power button?
It may be the shortened cable that caused this, and I am not sure how this can be worked around.

Is there a way to start the eMac WITHOUT the power drive temporarily? According to this quote from another website...
{quote} The only way to turn it on now is to place a wire (I used a wire twist tie.) that connects the Black and Red leads on the connector for the power button. This is done by placing the wire on the top of the connector where you can see metal showing. This will turn on the Mac. I would recommend turning on the option to have the mac reboot after a power failure and keep it plugged into a power strip that you turn off. (I use mine as a server so I never usually turn it off unless I need to do maintenance.)
So in other words, does this mean I could put a twist tie on the white connector thingy that goes to the power button retainer ring? Or is it more complicated than that?

  • Power button broken or somehow disabled?

Hey guys new to the forum but i Got the k1 for christmas and i absolutley love the thing besides th fact that it updated six times from christmas to jan and that it is buggy the browser sucks crap and force closes all the time and the whole thing is generally slow and buggy and poorly developed software....... But i awoke this morning and the power button does not work..i have never dropped it  i  always put it in its case and there is not a dam scratch on it...which i was quite proud of   and the only way to get the screen on now is by plugging in the charger  ... god forbid the dam thing dies and the power button still wont work ...has any one had any experience with this can i fix it my self or must i send it in and pay the shipping and all that jazz????
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Leave the tablet charging overnight then try turning it on the next day and see if it helps. I dont think the K1 has keylock for the power button. If changing it overnight does not help, then contact service. They should send you a box with a return label

  • Slide to unlock not working but I can slide to answer calls (power button broken) HELP!

Can anyone please help? 24 hours before my upgrade is due and my iPhone 5 has decided it won't let me slide to unlock...I can slide to answer a call no problem weirdly so Im thinking it isn't a fault with that part of the screen? My problem is compounded by the fact that the power on/off button hasn't worked in a while. this hasn't been a major issue until i am now trying to at least back up and then restore my phone. I can't enter the passcode to restore it! And i can't try lots of the suggestions I've seen which is holding the home and power button together as my power button doesn't work. I can't even sell the phone as faulty at the moment as i have no way of getting all my data off it!

Take the device to Apple to address the hardware issue.

  • IMac power button broken.  What gives?

I purchased a 2006 intel iMac on craigslist. It worked fine the first day. Next day it wouldn't turn on.
Tried standard stuff like using different outlets, making sure cord was tight. When it's plugged in I can hear a very light high pitched whine (similar to what you'd hear when turning on old TVs) but there is zero response to the power button.
The button seems a bit odd, like it's pushed in to far, doesn't always bounce back, if I run my finger in circles the button seems to make it's way back up. I tried the unplug for 15 sec, plug in, wait 5 sec and hit power trick. No luck with anything. Any ideas?

To me it sounds like you have two choices:
    1. Ask for your money back.
    2. Work out a deal with the seller to pay for the repairs. (which most likely will, well could add up to as much as buying a new 21.5")
