Nokia 6120 won't send messages

I've had my 6120 for about 3 months now. Been working fine for the whole time until today when i tried to send a message. Was stuck in my outbox for a while until is comes up with and error, something like:
'General Error: Memory Full; close applications and try again'
I've tried everything i can think of but nothing seems to be working to fix this problem. I can make calls and recieve message fine; but no sending message which is what i mainly use the phone for.
Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated!
Cheers

Try clearing your log out, and set it to record for a shorter time.

    such as????
Would that include deleting old messages, clearing logs and removing large music files/images and all the things you have done in 3 months. I am not saying remove them all but a little housekeeping may release some memory. Worth a try perhaps.
I would love to know what you have tried

  • Why won't my iPad won't send messages?

My iPad2 won't send message to person I just received from.  The send button is blue but not active. When I try to send to send a new message to another person their name is red marked with ! and the send button is gray. It won't accept any new name - alwayas in red with !.

Figured it out. The iPad message box has two lines. The first says "Subject" in gray. If you type something into the "Subject" line, but don't type anything on the next line (which is for the message), the send button remains inactive. Try typing the message on the second line. Send button then becomes active.
Now why couldn't Apple tell us that?

  • Nokia 6120 how to move messages to the memory card

    hi,
I have to take my Nokia 6120 in to be fixed because it just stopped making any sounds, tones, alarms, and i couldn't hear anyone and they couldn't hear me.
    anyway
now i want to save some of my text messages to my memory card before I give the guys my phone as they said they'd have to wipe it, but I can't work out how to do it
When I select the message and then say 'move to' i only get the option of 'my folder' which, as far as i can work out, isn't on the external memory card.
How can I move messages to the memory card??
Please help, I've spent an hour looking around the thing and cant find a way...it's driving me mad!
    thanks

I moved 2000 messages from mobile to memory card in N95. In messaging options I have just set "save messages on memory card" , after that mobile asked me if I want to copy all messages saved in mobile to memory card"

please help me how I can fix
    Thanks too much
    Cheers

guys we all used e-series before, try moving the messages to the 'other' memory from the messaging app settings, what i mean is if they were on the memorycard move them to the internal memory, if they were on the internal memory card, move them to the memory card.
if that didn't work, jus backup everything, hard reset, and restore everything (skip the settings in the backup/restore) .

  • Mail app won't send messages out

I am logged into gmail on my iPhone 4 mail app. I tried to reply to a message yesterday and it wouldn't work. The message sat in my outbox saying "unsent" because I needed to go to my mail account settings and enter a password. Well I went to settings, mail, account, and my password was stored there. I re-typed it anyway to see what would happen. I went back to the mail app, and the message still has not sent. But now I don't have an Outbox folder on the main page either! The only way I know it's still unsent is because when the app refreshes, it says 1 Unsent Message on the bottom of the screen.
So my question is, what is going on, where did my outbox go, why did it tell me to enter a password, and most importantly, why won't my message send?!
I was connected to wifi, if that makes a difference. And does it make a difference if it was a reply versus a new message? I just tried a test email, connected through 3G, and it says it sent.

Something stuck in the cache? Try a reset. To reset the iPhone, press and hold the home and sleep/wake buttons until you see the Apple logo (ignore the slide to power off prompt).

  • Outlook won't send messages

my outlook 2007 suddenly won't send emails. I can receive them just fine but get an error message saying:
Task  Sending' reported error (0x80042109) : 'Outlook cannot connect to your outgoing (SMTP) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'
    HELP!!!!!

    Hi,
Please first check if you can send email from web mail. If problem continues in web mail, you'll need to contact your ISP to get further assistance.
If it works as expected in web mail, it means the problem is related to Outlook side. In this situation, please make sure your SMTP settings is set correctly. See:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/287532
If you installed any antivirus software, please try to temporarily turn off them and test again.
Besides, this issue may be caused by some other reasons, please refer to the following KB article for more details:

    Hope this helps.

  • Messages on my MacBook Air won't send messages over iMessage. Anyone know how to fix this?

In preferences, under accounts, it claims that my Apple iD is hooked up to messages, including my phone number and email address...yet it isn't sending messages they always fail. Does anyone know how to fix this problem? It would be a great help.

Read this whole message before doing anything.
    Back up all data.
    Quit Messages if it’s running.
    Step 1
Hold down the option key and select
    Go ▹ Library
from the Finder menu bar. Move the following items from the Library folder to the Trash (either may not exist):
    Caches/com.apple.Messages
    Caches/com.apple.imfoundation.IMRemoteURLConnectionAgent
Leave the Library folder open. Log out and log back in. Try Messages again. If it works now, stop here. Close the Library folder.
    Step 2
If you still have problems, quit Messages again. Go back to the Finder and move the following item from the open Library folder to the Desktop:
    Messages
Note: you are not moving the Messages application. You’re moving a folder named “Messages.”
Test. If Messages now works, delete the Messages folder on the Desktop. Otherwise, quit Messages again. Put back the folder you moved, overwriting the newer one that may have been created in its place, and continue.
    Step 3
In the Preferences subfolder, there may be several files having names that begin with "com.apple.iChat". Move them all to the Desktop. There may also be a file with the name "com.apple.imagent.plist". Move that to the Trash.
Also in the Preferences folder, there's a subfolder named "ByHost". Open it and do the same thing.
Log out and log back in. Test again. This time Messages should perform normally, but your settings will be lost. You may be able to put back some of the files you moved to the Desktop in this step. Relaunch and test after each one. Eventually you should find one or more that causes Messages to malfunction. Delete those files and recreate whatever settings they contained.
If the issue is still not resolved, quit Messages again and put all the items you moved to the Desktop back where they were. You don’t need to replace the items you moved to the Trash. Stop here and post again.
If you later decide that you don’t like the results of steps 2 and 3, you can undo them completely by quitting Messages and restoring the items you deleted in those steps from your backup.

  • Won't send messages

Suddenly my 750i has stopped sending messages...well, it shows they are sent, but no one is receiving them. There is one message which wasn't received which refuses to be deleted. Please help.

I think the problem with messages not being received is probably a problem with your network rather than being a fault with the phone.
