Nokia 6125 test mode

I have switched off my phone last night and 'test mode' appeared on the display.since then I can't switch the phone back on and the display is just blank.I have tried different sim cards etc. but nothing.Please help.

Guess What?: "I just completed my firmware update of 6131."
Although I wasn't able to find the exact reason why the phone failed to update before, But if anyone follows the following steps, will surely be able to update phone firmware. The steps are as follows:
1. Remove memory card.
2. Restore default settings.(I recommend to do it by pressing "*#7780#". If asked for security code, enter it.)
If you have both PCSuite and Firmware Updater follow the following procedures. Otherwise directly go to step no.7

3.Uninstall Pc suite and restart pc.
4.uninstall Nokia software updater and nokia connectivity cable driver and then restart PC.
5.Install Nokia software updater.
6.Restart PC.
========================================================
7.Connect to PC using your data cable.
8.Select default mode or PC Suite mode.
9.Wait for PC to finish Automatic Installing of new hardware.
10.Connect the charger even if the phone is fully charged.
11.Disable any screen saver in your PC.
12.Start the Updater and follow the instructions.
Whatever happens do not interrupt any activity of the updater.

Nokia 1208 "TEST MODE" error msg

i have a problem with my 1208 ... i was in the midlle of a convesation when sudenly without any previous warning my 1208 showed the empty battery msg and it turned off . after i pluged it to the power suply it had this mesage :TEST MODE" and no matter how many times i'm switching it off and on again it shows the same thing , anyone has any ideea what it's all about ? maybe a solution ? thx

I believe "TEST MODE" and "FIELD TEST" are only for the field engineers or somebody from NOKIA that tests the devices somewhere out there...
You need to call the customer service and tell them that your phone suddenly displayed this message.
They will replace your device, and i think even if its out of warranty, they will replace it...

E71 Nokia Maps testing mode

Buying subject seller told me there are 7 days of trial use of Nokia Maps, after that I will have to purchase a licence code.
But application doesnt allow me to navigate and from the beginning offers to purcgase an activation code.
How can buy anything if I don`t know what I am buying.
4th day I am trying to get an answer looking the manuals and web-sites - nothing helps.
Does anybody know how to get a trial licence or test use of Nokia Maps?

Although you would need to back up essential data first, have you already tried resetting your E71 to "Out of box" state by keying in *#7370# followed by 12345 (default Nokia lock code unless altered by user)?

Nokia 2626 entered into Test Mode. How to recover?

Hi friends,
My Nokia 2626 phone gone into TEST MODE and not coming back. I switched off and on several times by removing batter. I tried switching it on without SIM card. but nothing helps me to recover it. It keep on displaying the words "Test Mode" in red color. Please help me resolve this issue.

Update fail nokia 6125

everythin goes on normally til the update file has been downloaded,my phone gets into test mode ,and the update just hangs there,after few minutes i get a message on the pc update fail ,try again...

I have the same problem. My 6125 was connected via a CA-53 USB cable that seems to be OK because I have been able to back up my phone contents with it. Bluetooth was off and Nokia PC Suite was closed.
The software update process initiates all right, the current firmware version is 3.71 and the update 3.72, but after a while the software update program shows a message saying "Connection to phone lost. Your phone could not be detected. Please reconnect the USB cable. Click 'Retry' to continue with software update."
When I click "Retry" the program retries but ends up showing the same message again.
At this point, my phone screen shows "Test Mode". It won't turn off, so I remove the battery and turn it on again.
A *#0000# check shows that the software hasn't been updated.
Please let me know if you have any further suggestion.

E70 Update ends in Test mode?

I am trying to update my E70. The updater installed fine. It runs fine. It recognizes my phone. Downloads the firmware. Then it starts updating the phone.
After a while nsl_host_process.exe quits. On one computer I have Dr. Watson. On another one it silently quits. Still the updater gui shows the same "Updating software, please wait...". The phone itself shows:
APE_TEST_SERVER,w43_05,(c)NMP
Test
mode
Nokia
Nokia
And that's it. The phone does not react to any keys. Nothing else is happening anymore. I have read the update can take up to 20 minutes but I have been patiently waiting for 1 hour now.
What should I do now? Can I simply unplug the phone? Or can I expect the updater to figure out eventually that somethings gone wrong?

Nokia 6125 Accept Software Update (firmware)?

Hi, my nokia 6125 has present a blank screen by 5 at 10 seconds and go back to main screen while I use the phone. Other things how cannot select a profile (only General profile can be use) and aleatory alarm. Using *#0000# I see Nokia Cougar RM-178 Vp 03.05. If it says "Nokia Prototype" and "Nokia Property", then it could be a prototype phone that was sold illegally (whomever gets them are supposed to return them to Nokia in order for the device to be destroyed after testing and after final devices become available).
A Nokia repair center will not fix or support prototypes. They also do not have any kind of warranty.
Or, someone might have just changed the startup message as a joke and it is not an actual prototype at all.
You can see if it is a prototype, also if the serial number (so called IMEI, International Mobile Equipment Identifier) starts with zeros (0). Type *#06# on the standby screen and the phone will display the IMEI.
If it really is a prototype, then you should go back to whomever sold it and request a refund of your money, and then go and buy a supported, released device, instead.

C7 goes TEST MODE

While reinstalling the Firmware using nokia Software Updater My C7 goes to TEST MODE.What To Do? Help please...

Because the phone needs to enter test mode before flashing the firmware.
The disconnection could be a driver problem. Or a problem with the cable. Which windows version are you using. Is Nokia Suite up to date?
You can try FOTA update.

1661 shows Test Mode on a dark screen?

My 1661 got wet and now when I power it on the screen remains dark but with a barely visible "Test Mode" showing on it.
Pressing keys does nothing.
If I remove the battery and then replace it and press the power button, the Test Mode message reappears.
Is there anything I can do or is this phone trashed?

Visit a Nokia Care center. Really strange that the test mode appeared there :/
Normally test mode can be removed by removing the battery and re-inserting, but as you've tried it already. There seems to be something else wrong with the phone.
Dry the phone completely under a light bulb or dump it into rice for a while. And try turning it on after it has fully dried.

3510i test mode

I've had to resort to using my old 3510i. It was working fine but has now gone into 'test mode'.
Does anyone know what this means??

Test mode is used when the phone goes for repair, you shouldn't really be seeing it. You'll have to take it to your nearest Nokia service centre so they can check this out for you.

1200 Test Mode problem

I'm using Nokia 1200, it got hanged in between a ongoing call. I removed the battery and inserted it back. After switching it ON it just displaying "Test Mode" on screen and nothing is happening. Few hours after that it got switched off automatically and its completely dead. please tell me if you have any solution for this.

Somehow it's software has become corrupted. The only solution for this is to take it to a nokia care point.

Test mode error

Hi, I dropped my phone today (6230), and it worked fine for about an hour, then it told me I needed to enter a code to validate it. I turned it off, worked fine when I turned it back on. Then it did the same, I turned it off and on again, and since then it is displaying 'test mode'. I have got a new phone but would like to get all of the messages off my old phone so need it to work! If anyone can advise on either how to fix it, or how to retrieve the messages otherwise, it would be much appreciated!

Test mode (5330 mobile TV edition)

Hello, Please I need help.
When I switched on my nokia 5330 mobile TV edition on, what I see on the screen is test mode. And anytime it comes up, it will stay on for some minutes and go off again. Sometimes it will show low battery on the screen. But I have tested the battery in another nokia 5330 and is working perfectly.

I got my 3gs in test mode somehow and its now in i 4. Any one know how to get rid of the test mode so the bars stay in place with numbers?

Remove the Battery for a couple of minutes, Insert and see if it makes any difference. If not, you need to visit Nokia Care
