Nokia 6133 Updates

The Nokia Software Updater dosent seem to identify my nokia 6133 and I wanted to see if there were any updates for my phone right now im running v.05.60 Are there any new versions?, If there are how can I download them.

It seems with some S40 devices that there maybe be just one software update related to bug fixes.

ya they do or DID you can select the 6131 from the list to get the software. the 6133 is the same phone just rebranded for T-mobile.
it was T-mobile i suspect that had this phone pulled from the software and update list after i complained rather vigorously to them that they had crippled this phone by specificly asking nokia to dissable several functions from this phone.
My complaint began because i tryed to get google maps to work on this phone which it should have had no problems with. my suport call to and visit to t-mobil culminated in them selling me a $10.00 a month internet plan to "see" if that would work...........well it didnt and upon further reaserch i discoverd that T-mobile intentionaly asked nokia to dissable some features on ths phone from the firmware. now if they can get other phones to use google maps with a branded t-mobile firmware then why not this phone i say.
anyway after i complained to t-mobile and very shortly there after i noticed that any mention of pc-suit and the 6133 had been removed from nokias websites, Also the update manager software will no longer connect or work with the phone.
Now i and im sure many others paid good money for this phone in fact i bought 2 and im quite **bleep** at the outcome from all this im also very **bleep** off at t-moble about this and am seriously considering changing them for another co. even after being with them for almost 10 years.

Error 1904 while installing "nokia software update...

Hi, i've just downloaded the new nokia software updater v.1.4.70en but while im trying to install it shows me an error saying :
" Error 1904.Module C:\Program Files\Common Files\Nokia\Tss\Communication API\cmn_usbdcm.dll failed to register. HRESULT -2147220473. Contact your support personnel" and another " Error 1904.Module C:\Program Files\Common Files\Nokia\Tss\Communication API\dtl.dll failed to register. HRESULT -2147220473. Contact your support personnel.".
I put ok and it continues the installation and then it finish.
But the problem is that if i go to the nokia software updater it does not find my phone! Im working on my windows xp sp2 laptop. I also tried on my windows vista laptop and it gave me the same errors! I have no firewalls or antiviruses to block anything! if somebody can help me i would be very gratfull!
I have an nokia E90 V.07.24.0.3 and i want to update it to the last firmware!

I have just encountered the same/similar problem and spent an age trying to find a solution both here and through Google with no success. The good news is that after a bit of trial & error I have managed to resolve the issue with a very simple workaround
When installing NSU, continue through the installation until presented with the error message.
Here, grab a pen and paper and note down the full path of the .DLL causing the problem.
Now continue to install (ignoring the error) by clicking on the right arrow.
Once insallation is complete, open the start menu and select 'Run'
Here you need to type "regsvr32" (without quotation marks) followed by a space then the full path of the file you have noted from the error message. (Note - the path should be in quotation marks). As an example, below is exactly what I typed to resolve my issue
regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Nokia\Tss\ProductApiLoader\ta_productapiloader.dll"
Now open NSU and update your handset.
Good luck and remember to feed back your results on this thread for the benefit of others.

ERROR IN NOKIA SOFTWARE UPDATER 2.5.2(LATEST) For ...

Hi everyone. I yesterday installed Nokia Software Updater 2.5.2 (LATEST) on my PC Running-
Windows 7 ultimate 32-bit build 7600
No ovi suite installed.
I had some problems in my new software V50 of Nokia 5800.
I tried to reinstall the firmware but there is no option to reinstall as earlier versions of NSU had.
But in help file of that NSU(5.2.5) it is written that-:
''After the phone has been detected and identified and the update information checked, Nokia Software Updater displays a summary on the PC screen. If you want to continue updating your phone software, click the Update button. It is also possible to reinstall the same software version that is already in the phone.
Now what do I do as in my NSU there is no option to Reinstall??
Please guys help me out.

Actually I updated through FOTA. It was successfull.but now I had some problems after it has been successfully installed.That's why I wanted to reinstall it and there is no option to reinstall. SO please tell me if u know any way to reinstall the installed update

Trouble with Nokia Software updater software

Hi
I have trouble with my Nokia software updater.
It "freezes" in detecting your phone picture.
Everytime there is a new version of NSU and first time I run it after installing/upgrading it works fine. But when I run it one more time it freezes.
Anybody who could help me???

N82: Nokia Software Update doesn't find the phone

Hello, I am trying to update the firmware of my Nokia N82, but I get an error message from Nokia Software Updater saying that it doesn't find the phone. I find that strange as Nokia PC Suite indeed finds the phone. The icon on the taskbar says that "AndersMobil is connected".
I've noticed that if I let Nokia PC Suite run at the same time as Nokia Software Updater, this icon shows that the phone is being connected and disconnected several times while Nokia Software Updater tries to find the phone, something that might indicate that the two programs cannot be run at the same time? I tried to run Nokia Software Update alone, but still the program doesn't find the phone.
In Windows Hardware Manager (or Units manager, not sure of the english translation) of Windows XP, "Nokia GSM Phone USB Modem" gives the following error message: "The unit is not working as it should as Windows cannot load the necessary drivers for this unit (Code 31)." Under "Portable Devices" in Hardware Manager/(or Units manager?) the error message "This unit cannot start. (Code 10)" appears for the unit "AndersMobil".
I followed the guidelines on the internet reinstalling Nokia PC Suite and Nokia Software Updater, removing and reinstalling the drivers, but Nokia Software Update still doesn't find the phone, and the same error messages appears in Hardware/Units manager every time.
What do I do?

Nokia NSeries Update Manager

Nokia NSeries Update Manager is an application in Nokia NSeries PC Suite. Whenever new version of any Nseries PC Suite application is available, if we check for this update manager, it will prompt that new version is available, so that user can update the latest version of that particular application. (in case of normal pc suite 6.8x, PC suite itself will prompt, if any version available) ... After reading this forum only i came to knew that new version is available for Nokia Software Updater, when i checked in Nokia NSeries Update Manager it does not say Nokia Software Updater has new version? Any clues???? Vista 32 bit, NSeries PC Suite version 2.0.262.0..

I've downloaded PC Suite from Your link - thanks But, before installing it I decided to give one more chance to Nokia NSeries Update Manager and... it worked! I've tried it a lot of times for about two weeks and it didn't work. Maybe someone from Nokia read my post with error message and could change sth on Nokia servers. I don't know. All in all - thanks for the link.
Regarding to Your questions. I've WinXP Pro SP2 and my computer is quite new. It runs on Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600.

Nokia Software Updater - Error 1720

Hi, I would be very grateful if anyone could help with the following problem:
I have downloaded Nokia PC Suite - this works fine..
When I try to download Nokia Software Updater, I receive the following error:

If you experience behavior such as application errors or scripts that used to work are no longer working, you may have a corrupted WMI repository. To fix a corrupted WMI repository, you have to reinstall WMI. Follow these steps:
For Windows XP Service Pack 2
Click Start, Run and type the following command:
rundll32 wbemupgd, UpgradeRepository
This command is used to detect and repair a corrupted WMI Repository. The results are stored in the setup.log (%windir%\system32\wbem\logs\setup.log) file.

Nokia Software Updater for N71

I have a Nokia PC-Suit installed with Nokia software updater, I was able to update my firmware till latest version,
Recently when I started Nokia Software Updater, it asked me that an update is available (for the updater), When I selected to download and install, after that Nokia Software updater is not starting at all!
I tried reinstalling PC-Suit, Software updater etc... but did not help

I had the same problem but then I downloaded NSU update directly from nokia website (not from Nokia pc suite) and it worked. It will create a new icon outside PC Suite. Let me know if it works for you

Problem to install new nokia software updater

I can't install the new sofware for 6300, vs 5.5, because, first, it's neccessary to get new nokia software updater and to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistribuable and there is always the same error (command line option syntax...) when I try to installed this composant on my computer;

Freezing Nokia Software Updater

i have got a problem with the nokia software updater. anytime i launch it to update my n70 to the latest software it just freezes. i havent been able to load the latest firmware on my n70. any help will be greatly apprieciated.

i seem to have the same problem updating my nokia 6288. First i tried running the software on my xp machine but it said that there was insufficient memory to run the package (which is rubbish cause the machine has plenty of power).
Next, i tried the updater on my vista machine. It opens and runs (version 1.4.0 en) but then freezes. If i close and then open the updater a few more times then it manages to get to the next screen. But then it freezes on the "identifying connected phone screen" this is really annoying. The phone is connected correctly and is recognized by both the operating system in windows explorer and by the nokia pc suite so I can only assume that it is a bug with the nokia software updater.
Any help would be useful.

Nokia n8 update no Notifications Widget

I have upgraded my n8-00 to newest belle and i am not finding Notifications widget any more, i liked to have it on my homescreen to see when who called, how many sms have i not read and etc. Is there a way to restore this widget? as it is very useful .

there may be an app from memory in the Nokia Store, but under normal usage no you cannot restore the Notifications widget as this was removed in the Nokia Belle update.
