Nokia 620 contacts!

Since updating my phone with the new software I can't seem to be able to add, edit or delete my contacts. Can anyone help me out? Tried everything and run out of ideas apart from throwing my phone against the wall!! :-(

If the contact is already stored .. go to people-->select the contact and then tap the last (third) icon at the bottom ..
If the contact is under 'history' .. long press to get more options ... and also tap on the icon on the 'Right' to go to 'edit' ..

I had nokia n82 with this app from nokia 810. I transferred contacts to my BT car kit and it worked perfectly. Now I cannot find such application and cannot transfer contact in any way. depend on how it's stored
when you connect your iphone to your computer and open your itunes on the computer
and click on the iphone under devices and get the iphone content menu you can
click on the info tab on the content menu
there you can choose how you will be syncronizing contacts to your iphone
if what you mean by "is stored in windows vista" is avaible in the dropdownbox then choose
that otherwise you need to export the contacts from the "stored by windows vista" to an options
present in the dropdownbox
the most easy thing would be using an export to pst and import from pst in microsoft outlook as it is pretty compabile with many things

Nokia N8 - Contact List disappear ?

Hi folks ,
I have a Nokia N8 , recently i am facing one problem, my all the contact no. are disappear from the contact list , I don't know how was this happened? Before 10 days same problem i was face but after 2 -3 days all the contact list are appeared. so please tell me the solution for this. I can't wait for the 2-3 days. If any one have solutions please let me know.

Every now and then my Nokia N8 contact list freezes when I try to select a contact fom the list, when starting a call or by accessing the contact list directly. A reboot, factory reset nor firmware reinstalling doesn't solve the problem, it only works temporarily. When the list freezes I am able to swipe through it up and down, though selecting contacts is not possible. I do see a cursor blinking in the lower half of the screen, at the position where the search window normally is. The search window itself is vanished.
Does anyone happen to know how i can really fix the problem permanent?
I used to experience the same problem on the N8, though the freeze isn't only limited to accessing the contact list but happens randomly when swiping through home screens, opening a folder etc. I managed to resolve this problem though I have forgotten what exactly it is. If I'm not mistaken it is due to an installed (bad) application that is causing the freeze. In my case it's the Whatsapp application. The freezing problem seemed to have disappeared after I removed the application from the phone and reintall it back again.

I have been doing a bit of searching to try and solve the problem of my phone book not uploading between my 6210 Navigator and my Audi Bluetooth.
It looks like i need to download and install Nokia 810 Contact Download Application but which is the correct one for a 6210 Navigator??

This is a fix/workaround for that issue.
If you dont have a gmail account. make one.
setup itunes to sync contacts to Google.
run a sync with your iPad on itunes like you normally would. This should fix that problem since the contact entries will be reset and replaced again.

Put the song in itunes.
Put the photos in your computers photo software, or in a folder on your computer.
Put the contacts in a compatible program on your computer.
Then sync.

Nokia 620 Skype Blank screen freezing

I have a Nokia 620. When I use Skype, the screen goes blank and I am unable to use any phone functions. I have to remove the battery and restart the phone. I do not have a screen protector. Does this happen to anyone else or do you think I have a defective phone? I really like my Nokia 620 but this is a pain.

I'm getting the same issue - not sure if it's because skype is running, but I leave skype on, and at least once a day I go to unlock the phone only to find the screen stays dark. I think the screen is active, but I've locked it with a passcode, so I can't start it.
Since there's no hardware reset button, like you I have to take out the battery. It's a shame, because I have android and iphones, and am trying this as an experiment. So far, I think its a very good phone for the money, but this problem is very annoying.

Nokia 700 contact synchronization problem

Hello, I've added exchange mail to my phone. And suddenly saw that all my old contacts where replaced with new ones from Exchange. I turned them (new contacts) off from mail settings. Then tried to synchronize phone book, to get contacts from Nokia sync server. But I didn't get anything. So I think that contact were deleted from Nokia server... The question is, can I somehow restore my contacts? Maybe they are versioned on Nokia server? And I can get specific version of them? Please help me.

Nokia N8 Contacts Ringtone

Hi there...
I programmed some contacts in my nokia with each a simmular ringtone.
But each time i synchronise with MS OUTLOOK to get an update of my contacts and calendar...the programmed ringtones are gone again.
Already programmed them 4 thimes...and now again...are the ringtones gone from the contacts.
Any explaineble reason 4 that.

I find Ovi Suite works fine, as long as you set 'conflicts' to use phone detail in settings, and I also use OTA sync to keep Calendar up yo date with my Ovi Account !

Nokia N8 contacts completely not working

I have a 3 branded PR1.0 Nokia N8.
Whenever I edit a contact and then go back to the contact list they all disappear apart from my own contqct card. What is going on?

Can you try to change your SIM and see if it will change the issue?

I had a bit of a look around but cannot find any answers so hopefully someone on here will be able to help.
I going through a bit of spring cleaning on my Nokia 5800 and want to see the date a contact in my phonebook was created.
Can this be done either on the phone or through the Nokia suite?

AFAIK this is not possible, there is no dte embedded in contacts, and many of my contacts are over 10 yrs old and have been on several phones ! If I ever 'clear out' my contacts I just remove people I never call or simply can't remember ! But I really don't think the feature you require exisys, no doubt some technical expert will prove me wrong, hopefully

Nokia 2323 Contacts: Multiple entries per contact ...

I am planning to buy Nokia 2323 Classic phone. gsmarena informs that it can save 1000 contacts. What I need to know is that does this phone accept multiple entries per contact. For example: Work Phone, Home Phone, Fax, Mobile Phone etc. If yes, then how many entries can each contact take? Also, if we add multiple entries then would it reduce the number of contacts we can save?
I have googled but it doesn't help. Also tried looking at the online user guide of Nokia 2323. It talks about going into Details menu and then entering Add detail but doesn't mention what kind of "details" it takes. I would be really glad if some one who has seen/used the phone could help.

Now that I'm not so sure about. The phone will either have a certain amount of memory put aside for contacts and usually you can't tell how much but you can check how much of it you have used as a percentage or it will let the contacts share the same memory as your messages and everything else and when you check your memory it will just tell you how much the contacts are using. I haven't used that phone but I think the 1st case applies to it
