Nokia 6205 - Help getting music to play?

So I got this phone through Nokia, and a selling point was the "music phone" feature.  I got the microSD card, and started loading music files onto the card.  I plugged it into the phone, and seemingly a bunch of the files aren't picked up by the music player on the phone.  What am I doing wrong?  I've tried a general converter (hoping that the file format would help), but nothing works.  Is anyone familiar enough with the phone to point me in the right direction as to what I need to do?  Any help is appreciated!

have you guys tried refreshing/updating the music library?

  • I cannot get music to play on my iPhoto slideshows.

Using OSX, itunes 10 and iphoto 9 .
I cannot get music to play on iphoto slideshows. It never used to be a problem before OS10.
Desperate and would really appreciate any help.
    many thanks

You may access your iTunes music iin iphoto
You may also access it in other apps - like iMovie
If - for some reason - you can access the music in iMovie but not in iPhoto, then the issue is with iPhoto.
If you can't access it in either then the issue is with iTunes.

  • I can't get music to play.

Hi. I have a problem. I can't get music to play n my new ipod topuch.  I get up to the song list, but then when I touch the song, it doesn't play.

    Hello Nicole Danielle,
I would be concerned too if my music didn't playback in iTunes.  I found an article that specifically addresses issues with the music not playing and the playhead not progressing in iTunes.  I recommend following the steps in the following article:

  • Can't Get Music to Play in LR2 Slideshow

I cannot get LR2 to play songs from my playlist in iTunes on my Mac.  I've read through the threads on this forum, refreshed the list on LR's slideshow section, tried repairing permissions, created new playlists in iTunes-- still no success.  Does it matter that the songs are ACC files?  (I'd think that that is correct for a Mac, but am I overlooking something?)
Maybe my iTunes selection isn't local enough for LR2.  As an example, I have one of the selected songs under Mac HD:Users:Me:Music:iTunes:iTunes Music:Marc Shaiman:The American President:End Title.m4a.  Should it be placed elsewhere to make LR "see" the selection?
    Any help would be appreciated!

Does it matter that the songs are ACC files?
You mean aac? No those play fine on my machine, as well as mp3 files. AFAICT it will work for any format that iTunes can play, even protected files.

The iTunes folder should be in the default location (which yours appears to be, apart from the non-standard drive name) for Lightroom to see the playlists. But the most important thing is extremely simple. iTunes has to already be running. Lightroom as of version 2 somewhere simply sends a play command to iTunes. This allows you to play anything in your iTunes Library now, even protected files bought from the iTunes store before they went completely DRM free. Sometimes I've noticed that you need to have already played the starting song for a little in iTunes before it will work correctly.
Now, I have to say that Lightroom's slideshow module is really quite useless. I usually just export jpegs and run a slideshow in iPhoto or Aperture. Far higher quality (Lightroom's slideshow is always quite fuzzy, no matter what kind of preview you generated), better iTunes support, and far more versatile in general.

  • Can't get music to play in a slide

I'm working on a presentation and I want some music to play in a silde, but I can't get it to work.  I'm able to choose the file and put it into the slide -- I get the speaker icon, but it won't play the file when the slide comes up.  I've followed the directions in keynote (I think,) but nothing.  Can someone help me out?

Select the speaker icon and then go to the Inspector>Quicktime Tab and make sure that Start movie on click is not selected. Also, check the volume contol at the bottom of the Inspector and make sure it is turned up.

  • Cannot get music to play

I have linked my ipod touch 4th gen to my computer the other day and now i cannot get any music to play. Everytime i try to play a song it automatically pauses and it is annoying me. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try to restart your iPod as per these instructions: Restart iOS devices
If that doesn't work, simply restore your iPod to factory settings via your iTuens. Make sure that all your iPod music is already within your iTunes library.

  • Cannot Get Music To Play Through CD Player!

Hey guys, I am new to mac but have used iTunes for years. I know how to burn a cd off of itunes, even though I have never done so before, problem is I can't get it to play in my cd player! I have changed the format of the songs to mp3 but my cd player does not play mp3. My boyfriend has a mp3 player in his car and it worked, so I know itunes isn't totally screwing up. So what format do I need to have the songs in in order for it to play?? I have done it also through the default (AAC) and even WAV but when I put the cd in the player there is nothing there, just dead aire! PLEASE HELP

I have changed the format of the songs to mp3 but my cd player does not play mp3.
If your CD player will not play MP3 files, don't use MP3 files.
So what format do I need to have the songs in in order for it to play??
Select Audio CD for the format when you burn.

  • Really need help getting DVDs to play on my ipod

I have purchased imTOO DVD converter and Quicktime PRO. I can't get Quicktime to even recognize the DVD file and keep getting an error that says "not a movie". imTOO does the conversion but my iPOD has crapped out trying to add the file to my library. • 6th generation nano screen black but able to touch screen from memory to get music to play..called customer support they said it's the backlight since touch screen can still be touched and music can be played..any thoughts?

second 6th generation nano..again with the same problem..screen is black will not turn on but am able to touch screen and get music/radio to play...able to touch around on screen from memory..nano is recognized in itunes and computer..but screen will not turn on..called customer support today..of course out of warranty but was told that it sounds like my backlight is burnt out and that's all i need fixed, told that it shouldn't be that expensive (live in myrtle beach SC) and that my screen is fine since i am able to touch around on it...any thoughts?
thanks to all for any advice or input..will try to take to local icitymac store in next couple of days
    jenn

Replacing the backlight usually requires replacing the entire front LCD/digitizer.  And yes, it sounds the backlight has burned out.
Keep in mind that if you go the Apple route, they won't actually repair the iPod, but instead will do an out of warranty exchange meaning your current Nano will be replaced with a refurbished model of the same capacity and generation.

  • Help getting audio to play on my car kit

I have a 8100 pearl and a clarion bluetooth system in my audi. I got the car from my brother and his curve works fine when its synched with the car audio system he makes and receives calls and he can play his music files over the car speakers. I synched up my pearl and i can only make and receive calls. I want to be able to paly my audio files from the media player over the car speakers the way my brother has it set up. I can hear my adio files for a second when i try to make a call. but then the call goes through and it stops. SO to recap. I have a clarion bluetooth system that is capable of playing music files from a curve but not from a pearl. BOth phones can make calls. How do i get my music to play on the car? I need some way to leave the phone open and constantly streaming the audi over blue tooh. i think i might be missing a file of some sort that lets me do that. or i have to change the options on my phone.

Hey jamaicanman20 & welcome to the forums.
The most likely source of your trouble is that your MacBook does not send out audio along with video. You may need a separate cable to transmit the audio to your TV.

  • I cannot get music to play on iPad speakers

I just purchased a used iPad. 3rd gen. I cannot get music downloaded from my iTunes account to play on the  speakers. Siri works. Sound on alerts works. But nothing from music I have downloaded. What is more confusing is volume buttons don't do anything and no sound bar appears in the control center. Thoughts?

Have you tried restarting or resetting your iDevice?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after It shuts down, press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds).
    No data will be lost.
