so, Is this phone marked Japanise TELEC Logo by Nokia?
TELEC Logo mark is the same as CE mark.
This is TELEC Logo.
Maybe, I think this Logo is marked  inside the battery pack.
thanks.

I'm not really sure what you want. Do you want to know if you can use the Nokia 6212 in Japan? The answer is yes.

  • Nokia n95 use in Japan

Does the Nokia n95 -3 model (purchased in Australia, Next G model) work in Japan?

as far as i know NTT docomo the main mobile operator in japan is the creator of the WCDMA or "3G" and it's operating this protocol in japan.
your N95-3 should support WCDMA. qoute from specs "WCDMA 850/1900(HSDPA) with simultaneous voice and packet data (PS max speed UL/DL= 384/3.6MB, CS max speed 64kbps)"
SO. i think it should work fine in japan.

  • Problems Reagrding NOKIA 6212 Classic phones

Hi Everyone,  In this board I want to discuss about Nokia 6212 Classic. I am finding some problems with this phone, as the phone is restarted, with Memory card(2GB)  inserted and contains close to full of data. If I stay on the main screen ( 1st screen after power up without any activity, the phone goes to blank screen ( idle mode) and if I press any of the keys the device is not responding. The main screen will come back after some 5 mins or so. ( I think the device is reading the Memory card info in the background. So it is not responding. There is info to the user about ehat is happening in the device. The handling of key presses are also not as expected)

handling of key presses are terrible on my 5630 as well
when i go to my contact list and type eg. "e" to find elisabeth *** and she's the 2nd result of the search i immediately press down - but after the search process the device doesnt accept a key press for 2 seconds - it's like, im acting to fast for the software.... it was no problem for my old 6300 to "remember" multiple key presses and handle them step for step!

  • Send SMS from Android tablet via Nokia phone using...

    Hi
On my Windows PC I frequently use Nokia PC Suite to send SMS messages by linking to my old Nokia 6230i using bluetooth. So much quicker to type using a keyboard.
Having now bought an Android tablet I've been looking for an app that would let me do the same, again using bluetooth to connect to the Nokia 6230i to send the SMS. But I've not found one.
I've search this forum for someone looking for a similar solution and also searched the google play, again without luck.
If anyone knows a solution then I love to hear about it.
    Alan
PS Had to register again on this forum, probably because it's been a long time since I visited

Hi, Alan_UK2. The PC suite can only be downloaded only your PC. Since this is a third-party OS, you may check if they have an available application for your tablet that has the feature you are looking for.

  • Nokia, please use Gracenote in Ovi Player again

Nokia, please use Gracenote again for getting meta data and album art in Ovi Player. It gets far better results than All Music Guide. It recognizes much more CDs, even from local bands, and the album covers don't have such bad quality as the ones from Gracenote have somtimes. Even the album arts in the Ovi Music Store are better quality.
As alternative, use Musicbrainz or let the user decide which database to use.
    Regards
    Spaark

If you are in India, then this issue is common as Nokia has changed Nokia Music store to OVI Music. Many users are complaining about same issues about lost track balance.
you should send them about your problems at following link.

  • Nokia 6120 - Use as a remote/View PC Desktop

For my old nokia I used to be able to access my pc via my mobile and also use it as a remote for windows media player via bluetooth.
Are there any apps I can get for this? I also used to be able to remotly view my pc desktop screen and open up files and folders from my phone. Any idea? Thanks

Is it with Lumia 520 and lower versions or with all the Lumia devices . I can see a App named Webcam Remote which says that we can view the Webcam of the PC on our phone then why is it not visa versa. If it is not possible to use Lumia devices as webcams after Microsoft's claim that it can get synchronized with Windows 8 operation system then Microsoft has to rethink on some basic things required to all users. And why should we complain to Microsoft separately ? is it not a Nokia Device. It should be a concern for the both. I have seen a lot of posts which has not been action from last 2 + years . How do you think that complaining will help. Sorry if the words are sounds are negative as i want these basic things to be in the Lumia phone which would help users like us . Waiting for the Release of Windows phone 8.1[ blue]

  • DO NOT BUY A LICENCE WITH MAPS 2.0 - NOKIA ARE USE...

    Hello,
just thought I would share a story.
My girlfriend purchased a 1 year maps licence after upgrading to Maps beta 2.0. After using it and finding it does nothing but lead us via the longest possible route, constantly loses the car position and continually directs us down dead end roads we downgraded back to the original version of maps as per the instructions on the beta labs website.
We then went to enter the licence code to activate the navigation feature in the original version. It didn't work.
I called support and they told me to use the update feature to update the licence. Done, to no avail.
They promised to call us back within 5 working days. 8 days passed and I called them again. They said they needed to know the firmware version. At this point I asked to be called back within 2 working days and was told that would happen. 3 days later we receive a call saying they'll email us some troubleshooting tips.
We don't want troubleshooting tips. We want them to fix the problem. It's obviously a problem with their database, and they refuse to fix it.
In short, Nokia are absolutely useless and cannot provide the most basic of support. It's bad enough they sucker us into this blind profiteering scheme by making us pay a subscription for a service that all other navigation software provides at no cost once the software has been purchased.
There is obviously a problem on their end and they are unable to fix it. I will now be in contact with the TIO/ACCC who hopefully can help.
Just a warning to others: do not give your money to them. Go buy one of the plethora of other brilliant navigation suites available. Maps navigation doesn't even work very well, anyway.

Nokia Maps 2.0 is still in beta. That means it's still in the testing stages. Nokia released it publically as a courtesey, sort of a "Here's what we have so far. Please try it out and see what you think" kind of thing. Beta software is rarely, if ever, supported by the developer beyond the "please report any bugs that you find" level. Because it's a test release version, and therefore incomplete, you basically use it at your own risk if you download it and install it.
If you download and install the release version of the program when Nokia releases it, and try upgrading to the navigation package at that point, Nokia will provide full support for the product.
As a counterpoint to your problems... I'd had a navigation liscence (North America) for Maps 1.2 for about 3 months before version 2 beta came out. When I installed the new version, my navigation liscence transfered flawlessly, and worked almost as well as with the older version. Almost. It sometimes didn't work at all. Plus... The interface had issues, some of the menus were messed up, some features didn't work as expected. I went back to 1.2.

At last a nseries phone im truely happy with THE N82

You are all kidding about this right?
Really, you do all know it's ENTIRELY down to product placement - ie: paid for advertising - rather than any "cool" factor, don't you?
I just can't believe there are intelligent people out there who still don't know that. I mean: why would a high profile pop star or the producer of a multi-million dollar movie feature a (usually entirely irrelevant) piece of technology in their product for free when they could get hundreds of thousands of dollars to do it?
It's not even like it's subtle anymore: have you seen how much product placement Apple have bought in Californication? Every other scene has someone using a powerbook or an iPod or at least talking about it.
Favourite line from the last one I saw: "Do you know (some **bleep**py album)? I'll gift it to you on your iPod."
Talk about sledgehammering the references in .. guess they hadn't made their quota that week Message Edited by patc on 14-Nov-200703:37 PM

  • Using in Japan

    Hi,
I am going to Japan and staying with my family for a while. I am taking my powerbook G4 17in. Electricity over there is 100 V and here in the US is 120 V, so I bought a World Travel Adapter Kit, but the North America and Japanese plugs are the same so I returned it. Is there no problem using my American computer in Japan?
Also I want to use my family's printer and scanner (Japanese) – can I just connect their USB cables to my powerbook? Or do I need to buy something? I don't want to destroy my powerbook...
    Thank you!
    Powerbook G4   Mac OS X (10.4.7)   17 inch

    http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=2204
in Japan apparently voltage is 100 Volts and US plug is used.
you didn't even have to buy travel adapter, Apple 65W adapter supposed to be 50-60Hz 100-240 Volts.
USB is an "industry standard" and supposed to work with no problems.
for PowerBook is a good idea to get extended warranty - laptop repairs out of warranty are very expensive.

  • Nokia 5230 - using it with the car speaker

i possible to use the nokia 5230 with my car speaker. I want to use my phone on the car speaker, while driving. I am able to use aux to connect the nokia to my mp3player in the car, but i cant seems to use it on the voice calls. (it works fine if i use it to play mp3 on the phone)
is there any instruction how to use Nokia5230 with car speaker system?

The phone would work connected by a 3.5 to 3.5 lead in as much as if you received a call whilst connected the music would stop and you would hear the caller through the car speakers, but you would still have to use the mike on the phone to speak to the caller . You need a bluetooth car kit to use it for calls properly. A work arround would be to use a splitter lead (one 3.5 extender with 2 inputs) then plug your phone into both a wired headset and the cars auxiliary input ! But doing this would mean a lot of wires !!!

I bought an iphone 5s model A1533 unlocked from US. But in India, this model doesn't support 4G in Airtel. Is there any way to get a replace with another model which supports 4g in india like A1530 ??
Yes. Sell that phone and use the proceeds to buy the correct phone for your country in India. So you want Apple to pay for a mistake YOU made? What gives you the sense of self entitlement?

  • German iPhone 4 using in Japan

    Hi there,
my wife will travel in August for three weeks to Japan. So far I've collected these information: GSM ist not available, UMTS in Tokyo - but NTT DoCoMo don't support UMTS. What other provider (Softbank ?) support UMTS?
Her iPhone 4 is not simlocked. She wants to use it for SMS and Mail in Japan and to Germany in these three weeks.
How about the costs of prepaid cards?
    Any information is appreciated.
    Thxia
    Herbert

The only way you would be able to do that is if you have AT&T unlock the phone. If you are out of contract, you may qualify. See this link from AT&T http://www.att.com/esupport/article.jsp?sid=KB414532&cv=820#fbid=6d7EKuCF_dr
If you qualify, here is the request link https://www.att.com/deviceunlock/client/en_US/
