Hi, My mobile was connected to PC and it ask me if I want to update, I did update, but I realized that THAT WAS BIG MISTAKE.Without giving me any notice this wiped out all my Inbox-Outbox, folder contains. I AM SO UNHAPPY.I really need my messages back, can anybody help me on this please?How should I get all my messages back? Thanks in advance. Vik
Try doing a System Restore.Choose a date before the update that messed up your machine. Not sure what OS you are running so will post links to both Win 7 and Win 8.

Restore from previous backup, be sure use the same iTunes and account you used to store your stuff into your device.

I just updated my ipad, and with it the pages application. And now my entire programe is wiped. Along with it, 6 months of writing of stories and projects I have been working on. How can I get it back? I assumed there would be a back up on itunes, but the app on itunes is also completely blank! I am desperate for ideas!

2000 contacts disappeared? I've had my Z10 for over a year and have never lost a contact but, then, I make backups (for local contacs) and sync my contacts with Exchange at work and Outlook.com for personal.
If you'd like to ask a question and get help there are people here who like to help. if you just want to just rant then don't expect much help. While most here can sympathize with you on lost data, there are thousands of posts here with either how-to's on making backups or links to those same how-to's. All of Sdgardne's posts (and there are tens of thousands) have links to how to set up and maintain backups.

Both my iPhone and I pad are not communicating together. They are glitch. You can be in a game or surfing the web and all the sudden the screen goes black. I have lots of memory and space. I cleaned history thinking it could be it. I also restored iPad as new device. The update messed it up. Becoming very frustrated with apple products. Help please!

I haven't used my itunes for a while. When i went on to download my latest songs everything was missing. so i tried downloading a song, but when i closed down my itunes and turned it back on, it had gone again. does anyone know how to fix this. all my songs are still on my ipod but i want them on my itunes too.
I am having the same problem. I have just tried this. Unplug iphone > open itunes > delete all music from itunes library > close itunes > re-open itunes > add music from original folder > plug in iphone > select songs > press sync > unplug iphone using eject button onscreen > checked phone .... still nothing in music folder on phone. On itunes the "On this iphone" tab the songs remain there but greyed out.

new ipod has erased all memory twice after uploading new songs - has asked me to register the ipod 14 times - each time I have completed the registration, it gets halfway through uploading 668 songs from my itunes library and then stops - now the folder icon has appeared on the ipod and it won't respond at all - very frustrating - please help

Ever since the new update in iMovie all my audio seems to be there ,but when I get in the middle of the video the audio is off. Help?
I think the problem is that the iPod got set to Manually manage music and videos. It needs to be set up for automatic syncing again. Just unchecking that Manually manage music and videos setting does not do it.
In iTunes 12, select the iPod in iTunes (using the device button), so that you see the iPod's "management" screen. In the sidebar (along left side of screen), there are two headings (Settings and On My Device). Under Settings, click on Music. To the right, you see the iPod's Music screen, where you tell iTunes how to sync songs to the iPod.
Check the box at the top for Sync Music. That turns ON automatic syncing for music. Below that, choose the option to sync Entire music library (assuming your music library fits completely on your iPod). Otherwise, you can choose the option to sync Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres and make your selections below. Then click Apply. -
Finally got round to buying an iPhone 4, really excellent to start with. The sharing of music from my Mac Mini was excellent. ios6 update has ruined all that! The artist view miss's out most of my music and the sharing sometimes doesn't work at all!
How do I get this feature working again? I am reluctant to move to iTunes 10.7 because I don't trust Apple at the moment.My suggestion:
1) Always using MAC AIR with the power plug in.
2)Don' let the power level of battory fall under 30% percentage.
3)If the MAC can't be recharged now, just let it be with power plugged, WAIT... -

If the system just Restarted on it's own, Shut down while you were working on something then started back up all those changes, edits, you had done in that app, document, are gone.

it wants a usb connection because it writes directly to the memory where the firmware is installed.
since you don't have a usb cable, you can go to a Nokia Care center and ask them to update to the new firmware.
