Nokia 6230i Connectivity Problem

Hello,
i am using a Nokia 6230i and cannot connect to the nokia PC suite. The problem appears since updating to the version 6.86.9.0.
Before this the connection worked fine.
I can pair the phone with the PC, but when it should authorize i have to enter the password and then the phone asks "Data exchange with PC"? After confirming i get an error message Bluetooth connection failed.
I am working with windows XP SP2, the connection is over bluetooth (WIDCOMM).
I also reinstalled the nokia pc suite - but nothing cahnged.
I see there are a lot of analog problems in the forum, but no solution. Anyone who knows solution ?

Check that your Widcomm bluetooth drivers are compatible, you may have to download updated ones from them.

Hi, I have spent the best part of the day trying to establish whether my new nokia 6230i mobile phone that I received for xmas is faulty or is it something I am doing wrong. I just cannot seem to connect to my computer via the Bluetooth or infrared. I have been reading other peoples problems with the same thing on various websites and I thought rather than try and struggle anymore somebody here may be able to help!!! I downloaded to PC suite that came with the phone, and even downloaded a higher version (apparantly a newer one).But my phone just wont connect. which seems to be working fine but as soon as i tried to connect it just will not find my connection on my phone. Do i need to buy any other accessories before I can connect?? I might also add that we also tried on my partners laptop and nothing is happening at all.Am i doing something wrong. somebody please tell me if I need to buy extra USB ports before using this feature. Although being Bluetooth I thought this was wireless?? Also any recommendations on how to use the infrared would be great to. If your Bluetooth solution is Bluesoleil, I would firstly update your Nokia PC Suite to latest version, 6.70.22 from www.nokia.com/pcsuite ( I don't recall by heart what was the level of BlueSoleil support in PC Suite 6.5, but it can be that your problem is partly related to BlueSoleil not being officially supported with that old version of PC Suite (6.5).
Then the next thing is to look around for intructions how you make sure that if you have Windows Xp SP 2 (which has microsoft own Bluetooth sw solution that easily "fights" with any other Bluetooth sw), how you make the Bluesoleil work in your PC flawlessly.
Google is good help for that, search for links like: "BlueSoleil sw problem in XP SP2" or similar and look for instruction how you make sure you only have BlueSoleil sw in active use.

Uninstall Nokia PC Suite, PC Connectivity Solution, Nokia Connectivity cable driver, Nokia flashing connecitivity cable driver(if any on your pc), run pc suite cleaner. Install latest pc suite from nokia.com/pcsuite. Reboot your pc, then connect your usb in different ports of your PC and then check

I had recenly bought a nokia x6 16gb and I have connection problem with my ovie suite.I am using cable to connect to the pc.When I open my ovie store it says connect ur device under the ovie suit toolbar. Firstly, I recommend to update your Windows XP to Service pack 3. Nokia Ovi Suite do not support fully the XP with service pack 2.
Then use the latest Ovi Suite available, current version is 2.2.0.245 and available from Nokia.com and Ovi.com download pages. You Ovi Suite version you find from help menu and About the Ovi Suite tag.
Then update your X6 to the latest SW available.
After these steps your X6 would work fine.

Nokia 5230 connection problems

i am using nokia 5230. i have just downloaded and installed PC suite 7.1.51.0 with windows visa 32 bit. the very first time, everything worked fine. i synchronised all the phone contents to PC. now, whenever i connect the phone to PC, it gives me a message "USB device not recognized by Windows". i have reinstalled PC suite but no improvement. kindly advise.

in my PC i have already installed
-windows 7 (64 bits)
-nokia ovi suite 3.0.0.284
-bluesoleil 5.0.5
- CSR Bluetooth adapter
the problem is when i tried to connect my device via blueetooth, the device is found but the programs says maybe you have to install the modem drivers for your device, then keeps lookin for and says there is a problem connecting go back and try again.
I have no usb cable and i need to connect it via bluetooth,
please help.

Nokia 9500 connection problems

I have a nokia 9500, and I am unable to synchronise my phone and pc via a USB cable. I am using the correct cable, and the latest version of the PC Suite is installed, as well as the cable drives but still, no joy. The pc picks up the phone when I plug the cable in, and reads it as "new hardware found Nokia 9500" but on trying to connect the two, the Nokia PC Sync window reports that it is "Not Connected".
The phone is switched on but the pc doesn't seem to recognise that there is a phone connected despite the USB connection detecting the phone.
Any help would be great.

Is the problem you have related to "client is not responding"?
I received info from damn_delicious on Forum Nokia how to solve that.
1. Unplug your phone from PC
2. Remove battery
3. Insert battery and start up phone.
4. Go to Tools - Sync - press Menu - go to Tools menu - choose "reset PC sync profile" - exit
5. Go to Tools - device manager - press Menu - go to Tools menu - choose "reset PC sync profile" - exit
On the PC:
1. Open "My computer" browse to C:\Documents and settings\*username*\application data\Nokia\PCSync\Syncdata - delete the folder with the long number (this is just your computer that remembers your phones sync settings)
Now you have deleted all sync settings in phone and the PC. Now try to connect the phone and then try again and see if it works ;-)

Nokia Marketplace connectivity problem when using ...

Hi everyone!
Got myself a new Lumia 800 phone about a week ago and since the beginning on I've been experiencing this strange problem with Nokia Marketplace: it rarely works properly when using it with wifi connection.
The problem is following: when connected to wifi, I'm allowed to launch the application and browse the apps. I can see apps in categories, however some apps don't have an icon loaded next to them. When clicking on those apps, the Marketplace application is not able to retrieve any information for the app being viewed and returns an error: "We can't connect to Marketplace at the moment. Check your data connection or try again later."
In some cases I am able to view app information, but when attempting to download the app, it stays under "pending" status and throws an error message requesting my attention. It's weird that while unable to view app information and download apps, I am still able to search for app by a keyword and the search results are returned.
While having this problem, I am able to browse web pages with IE, read e-mail etc, everything works just fine.
When I turn my data connection on, Marketplace performs well and problems disappear. However I don't want to use mobile Internet connection when WiFi is available, because I don't want to pay extra when it's possible to use WiFi.
In some cases I am able to use Marketplace even with the wifi connection (I've downloaded a couple of apps), but most of the time it's down and unusable.
I have downloaded the latest updates.
My region is Estonia.

Having the same issue with Nokia 510. Whenever I try to update apps via WiFi it fails. Marketplace updates seem to work only with Network data connection, This is weird and needs to be fixed very quickly. C'mon Nokia - these are basics

SmartcomGps on Nokia 6220 - connectivity problem

Hello everyone,
I've got a Nokia 6220 and have been trying to use its GPS by SmartcomGps 1.56. Hopefully, my GPS antenna works properly. And I'm able to see GPS is working properly by going to Menu -> Applications -> GPS data -> Options -> Satellite status, in which Nokia shows me at least 5 satellite bars.
But I'm having problems by Smartcom connectivty. When I choose to connect in Smartcom, Nokia 6220 starts searching for a Bluetooth device instead of a satellite. Does anyone have any idea to fix this problem?

Not familiar with this application but looking at compatible Nokia devices these don't even seem to be S60 3rd FP1 but S60 3rd Initial release where Bluetooth GPS receiver would be expected:http://www.wild-mobile.com/eng/download.php

Nokia E6 connection problem

Hi, ive got a problem with my nokia e6. Today i have recived a bill wich shows me that everyday, every ~10 minutes, even in the middle of a night, my nokia is downloading something (100kb).
It costed me around 40 $ ...
Any idea what is it and how to solve it?
I had a mailbox but i have deleted it. I havnt installed any programs so i guess it is something that nokia installed.

Call your telco to cancel your data connection.
On the phone, go to connection settings, set WLAN only for both home country and abroad.

when i try and connect the phone to the comp and have pc suite mode on it says that there is no phone connected.
but it works with data storage mode.
the pc suite mode used to work before but doesnt any more.

I am having the same problem as bloodydemon - my 5310 no longer connects to my pc via the usb cable. I have re-booted, uninstalled, installed pc suite many times and still no joy. One thing: My hard drive is now in a new system since yesterday, so I don't know how that impacts things. Still the same phone and cable and pc suite as before.
Now what to do?

Nokia 206 connecting problems with car bleutooth

My problem with the 206 is the bleutooth connection between my phone and car.
After a few seconds (10 to 30 seconds) of connection, the phone disconnect hisself, the screen of the phone goes white and the connection goes down. Then after another 10-30 seconds, the screen goes back to normal and the connection is made again.
When i make a call and this happens, the call ends immediately and i have to wait 10-30 seconds to be able to call agian.
And this goes on and on and on. So i can't call with the phone when i am in my car.
Can anybody help me with this problem?

Nokia 6670 connectivity problem

Hi. My phone is a Nokia 6670
I am using windows XP Professional
Service pack 2
when i connect my cable(DKU-2) windows shows a notification saying "usb device not recognized" and then nothing happens
when i open device manager i just find an unknown device
under "universal serial bus controllers" and on further inspection it says that there is no driver installed for it.
i re-installed my pc suite and even the Nokia Connectivity cable driver but i get the same notification
please help me with this.
Plus in the device manager, near my phone (Unknown Devide) there is no yellow exclamation mark, as i read there normally is in other forums.

The G in the top of the screen means that the phone is registered to a GPRS network. The connection is not on (connection is not established) until the G is inside a box.

Nokia 6230i MMC problem

hi everybody.i'm using 6230i almost a year and ihadn't any problems...by now...recently i had the following problem:i transfered 2 JPG files from PC via bluetooth.i saved one of the files in the MMC amd the other in the phone's memory.the free space of the MMC decreased (i checked it via "memory status" option).but the file disappeared and i can't find it when i look in the folder!!!after that i tried to move the other JPG file from phone's memory to MMC.and the same thing is happened-the free space decreased but the file dissapeared.so stange...then i moved other file(which was saved in the phone earlier) to MMC(because i thought thah the files are damaged) but the same thing again. in fact my MMC is almost full - there is only around 500kB free space.but i think that it can't be a problem(the files are smaller than the free space).i suppose that the formatting of the MMCcan sovle the problem but it's my last option.can someone tell me what's the nature of that problem and how i can fix it without formatting if it is possible.thanks.
