Boxed PC suite working fine but if I install PC S. 6.82.22.0. (PC Suite 682 rel 22 0 eng us web.msi)then I get a message to ask for reinstallation. I looked at the Error and it refers to: (Code: Init IMediaControl2). I then looked at the Bluetooth settings in the PC Suite system window, and found the following: (Please note that at the end it says that No supported Bluetooth stack found

Hi,
I have similar problem.
Nokia 6234 (Vodafone model)
PC Suite 6.82.22.0
NB FUJITSU-SIEMENS COMMING with Toshiba BT SW
Windows XP Professional SP 2
Problem: Bluetooth Stack for Win by Toshiba works and comunicates (pairing OK) with the phone, but...
trying to connect the phone in PC suite I go for Bluetooth, follows 123 pairing code, same procedure on my phone to pair with the PC suite,
BUT THAN A STRANGE PAIRING REQUEST DIALOGUE OF THE TOSHIBA STACK SW COMES ON AND WHEN I PUT THE SAME CODE, PHONE SAYS "CONNECTED", BUT THE PC SUITE SCREEN REMAINS IN SOME STRANGE WAITING STATE AND ... ... NOTHING HAPPENS. THE PHONE CONNECTING SHOULD FOLLOW BUT NOTHING HAPPENS SO I MUST CANCEL IT ALL:-(((
Strange thing: My computer seams to miss the original WinXP SP2 original Bluetooth drivers. Also in the control panel I am missing the "Bluetooth devices" option, that is refered in every Windows help file, refering to bluetooth technology.
And when I uninstall the stupid Toshiba SW, my computer really seems to miss any BT driver, because nothing works.
Strange things happening here.......

  • Nokia 6233 - PC Suit Cable Connection & Music

I have recently purchased the Nokia 6233 and would appreciate any advice on the following (in laymans terms would be great as I am not very tech minded) 1. PC suit will not recognise my phone (USB connection) At first the connection was intermittent e.g. sometimes it will recognise it and at other times it wont. Now after telling me to update to the new PC Suite, which I did (and it didn't work at all so I uninstalled it and re-loaded the old version )it will not recognise my phone. 2. When it did connect I managed to transfer some music from CD to PC Suit and then from the PC Suite to my phone. However I kept getting a message that there wasn't enough memory on the phone to download the music (even when I tried up to 3 songs) so I bought a memory card. This was good as I can now download quite a lot of songs. But they will on only play one at a time. How do I get the tracks to play continuously? Yours frustrated Nokia 6233 owner

    Hi frustrated nokia 6233 owner,
I also have a 6233, with cable. I had the same problem where the pc suite would not recognise my phone when it was connected. I tried this solution from another post:
Go to Control Program, Add Or Remove Programs, select PC Nokai Suite, select Support Information, and select Repair. Select PC Connectivity. Select PC Connectivity Solution, select Change, and Select Repair.
The pc suite recognised my phone after that. However, there may be a downside, though it recognises my phone the pc suite functions no longer work. I dont know if that is a seperate problem. Give it a go. I hope it works.
As for music, i'm not sure, sorry. Mine plays all tracks automatically. You may need to check the settings in music player. What format are your music files?
hope i've been of some assitance to you.

  • 6233 & PC Suite - Can't syncronise contact data

    PLEASE HELP ME!!!!
    Phone: Nokia 6233
    PC Suite: 6.81.13.0
    Windows XP Service pack 2
    Toshiba Pentium IV AV30 laptop
    1) I connect the phone up using the USB cable, this has worked fine up until now.
    2) The PC Suite registers the phone is connected so I click on "contacts".Up come contacts from the last save.
    3) I click the icon "update contacts" and receive the message "phone & computer contacts are now being updated" along with an animation of the PC sending data to the phone. The connected phone wakes up and displays "syncronising data/sending 1-86"
    4) Then, when the phone gets approximately half way through, the phone screen goes blank & all contacts disappear from the pc screen.
5)A message on the PC Suite pops up in the form of two warnings.
a)"the syncronisation has been terminated, PC Sync could not update the data to the mobile phone"
b)"PC Sync information: connection to mobile lost. Check connection and reset synchronisation"
    6) Immediately after this message, the PC Suite recognises the phone again and I am back point number 2 (above)
I have tried the operation approx. 15 times using the USB cable and then switching to Infrared transfer and the result is exactly the same. I have uninstalled and re-installed PC Suite to see if this corrects the problem but it doesn't.
Please can someone out there help me, Thanks in advance
    Fraser-Cole

Thanks manta,I hope I didn't waste any of your time & thanks for your quick response.
I solved the problem as follows.
I had been busy taking pictures to save to my contacts in the 6233. I'd taken about 12 shots of familly & friends and this is where it all started. When you then syncronise the data, the volume of images tranfering to the PC takes (obviously) longer and gets 'timed out' whatever connection you use. My advice to anyone with the same problem is to sycronise phone to PC after only a few photos have been added as an image to individual contacts. My PC suite seems to work fine now.

  • Please help....nokia 6233 and 6300 synchronisation...

hello there everyone , i used to have a nokia 6233 and i recently switched to 6300 , i tried to copy the list of contacts on my 6233 to the 6300 but to tell you the truth i did'nt know how to do it!!! the only thing i managed to do sucessfully is to set my phones to be connected with my computer wirelessly through blutooth but the rest of the process seems to be very complicated and i need someone to tell me how to move my contacts to my new phone ,,,,
    cheeeers,
    wesam

    Well, you can try this:
    1) Only Connect 6233 first to PC, then open PC Suite and click on the Contacts tool
    2) Browse thru the contacts and make sure that everything is there, then click on one contact, press Ctrl-A (select all) on the keyboard then press Ctrl-C (copy)
    3) Open Windows Explorer and create a temporary folder on your PC (i.e. c:\temp)
    4) Browse to the temporary folder and press Ctrl-V (paste) and this will copy all contacts from 6233 to the computer. After this has been done, disconnect the 6233 and connect the 6300.
    5) In this same folder, again select all the contacts and press Ctrl-V to copy them
    6) Again, open PC suite and click on the Contacts tool. If there are contacts shown in the window, you may select them all (Ctrl-A) and delete them first, or if you don't want, then leave the contacts as is.
    7) While in the Contacts tool, right-click on any one of the contacts you see and then select "Paste" from the menu. This should paste all the contacts from the 6233 to the 6300 phonebook.
    Hope this helps. =)

  • Lotus Notes doesn't synchronised with Nokia 6233

    Hello!
    There are my details:
    Nokia 6233
    Windows XP sp2
    PC suite 6.83.14.1
    Connection method: Bluetooth
    Aplication Lotus notes 6.5
Connection is established, calendar items are successfully synchonised, but not contact items. I think that problem is in Synchronisation settings (Tab Lotus Notes 6.x there are Group Contacts and two fields below "Server" and "Filename" ), the value of "filename" field i put "mail\mstetjuh.nsf", where "mstetjuh" is my account namme. Synhronisation report writes that all successfully finished.
Help me where I am wrong, please.

Sorry, I didn't reed corectly. I put as you sad and all is gone. Big thanx

  • Nokia 6233 - Music track list no longer shows char...

My phone has stopped showing the track names in the track list. They names are only represented by small empty boxes. The track names appear to have downloaded OK as they are clearly visible if you browse the memory card. Can anyone help? I'm using Win XP SP2, PC Suite 6.82.22, Nokia 6233 connected by USB cable CA-53

No - it was even easier than that! Apparently it was to do with the format that the track was saved in. Somehow my settings had changed from m4a to aac - resetting theis to m4a cured the problem.

I tried every trick I know, I fully charged my phone, I connected my phone to the charger, I restored factory settings, I disabled screen saver, I disabeld phone bettery saver, I treid every thing, still I cannot back up my phone.
beside that I'm still waiting "like those hundreds" for nokia 6233 to be listed in Phone software updater. Please Nokia Team, tell us If 6233 is ever going to listed.

Maybe you could find some third party plugin for your phone? I have found one for the N73. Try MacMonster's site
As I do not currently own a Mac, I cannot test operability for myself. But most users whom I know to have used the plugin reported no problems. This plugin enables you to sync your phone with iSync. As I said, I have found a plugin for my N73. Who knows you might be lucky for your 6233!
    Break a leg!
Edit: Click EDITED to download the suitable iSync plugin for your phone. Note that the site is in German. I'll provide the English installation instructions (which you can also find on the developer's site) below:
    1. Protect if possible all data (contacts, notes, pictures and dates) of both devices
    2. Delete your telephone from the device list of Bluetooth and iSync!
    3. Switch Bluetooth off on Mac and at the mobile phone
    4. Quit iSync, if this is opened
    5. Copy the directory “PhonePlugins” (marked green) including contents with Apple (Command) + C and insert it into the highest LIBRARY on your hard disk
    6. If the directory already exists, then only take the contents from my (the developer's) directory into the existing directory “PhonePlugins”
    7. Pair the Phone with your Mac and start iSync

  • Nokia 6233 music files transferring issue

I tried transferring some mp3 files into my nokia 6233 using Nokia PC suite's Audio manager. But after selecting all the files I need to transfer and clicking transfer to phone button, the files get listed in the bottom pane where the status is displayed. After that the transferring status is automatically becoming "cancelled". What may be the problem??? I am using a Nokia DKU-2 USB cable... there is no problem while transferring images ets from the phone to PC.. The only problem is with transferring music files from my PC to the phone (BTW I dont have a SIM as of now... is it necessary to have a sim for transferring files into the phone???)

You do not need a SIM card.
Try copying the music accros with the windows explorer while your phone is connect to the PC in Data Storage mode.

  • Syncing with Outlook 2002 - Nokia 6233 outlook.ost

Phone is Nokia 6233 syncing with Outlook 2002 on XP and using Exchange Server 2003. I have set the Nokia software to sync every 15 minutes. All users with laptops get a message on screen just before sync saying "Your offline folder file could not be configured .... outlook.ost." You can click through this and it will sync with the PC but I don;t want all my mobile users to have to do this every 15 minutes.
It seems to me that it is trying to sync with the offline folder which is the part that allows mobile users to access Outlook when they are away from the office with up to date as at last time connected to Exchange Server but that is about as far as I have got. Presumably, it is to do with the Send and Receive settings in Outlook as there does not appear to be a solution using Nokia software. Any help if anyone has resolved this would be much appreciated..

I am having similar issues with PC Suite, in particular the PC Sync feature. I am running PC Suite Rev 6.22.82.0 and Outlook 2002 SP3. PC Suite allows me to sync successfully only once after bootup whether in the online of off-line Outlook operating mode. Then if I attempt to sync again I get the error message [Your offline file folder could not be configured....]. When I close down PC Sync, keeping Outlook and the rest of PC Suite running, and then restart PC Sync, I can successfully sync again but only one time. I can sync my Palm with Outlook without similar issues. This tells me that there is a bug in the PC Suite software and not Outlook.

It sounds like your 5800 has the earpiece fault that was common with 5800's made before February.

  • Nokia 6233 v05.10 odd behaviour

    Hello!
After thoroughly searching not only this board but the entire Internet, I found no answer to my question so I decided to register and ASK.
I need to know if any of you owners of a Nokia 6233 observed this odd behaviour of your phone - so please keep reading.
I purchased the phone 16 days ago. Being my first Nokia, I took time to exploit its every feature, therefore draining the battery quite quickly. I discharged and fully charged the battery at least 3 times in the first 3 days, without leaving it plugged-in overnight (as far as I know this is no longer necessary). The battery life time increased progressively until a maximum of three days of normal use, meaning moderate talking (under 20 minutes per day), little or no use of Java apps, camera, media players or GPRS/EDGE connection. The screen savers are off, power saver is on, sleep mode is on. Packet data connection - when needed and network mode is GSM only because I do not use 3G. All these should get me the best stand-by time possible, right? Well, they did, until...
I bought a new microSD card, 2.0 GB storage, made by SanDisk. The card works fine, I put my favorite music and video clips on it - all the stuff you do when you have enough space. Since then, the battery life decreased SUBSTANTIALLY to LESS THAN 24 HOURS. And there's more. The battery drains even if the phone is turned off, in roughly the same amount of time. I have never ever seen anything like this. Sometimes the battery is so low that the phone takes a few minutes before displaying the battery charging icon and, when started, it asks for hour/date settings.
So, I need to know if anybody else noticed battery life decrease with bigger memory card capacity, and what's to be done.

Have you tried using the in-box memory card(That came with the phone) again? There's something wrong with your phone and battery if the problem still occurs..
