Nokia 6234 Bluetooth problem

Basically, it wont turn on.
I got the phone about a month ago, and at first the bluetooth worked fine. Then, I came to use it, and whenever I try to turn it on, on the connectivity screen, it wont turn on, no matter how many times I press the ok button.
Oh, and at one point, I locked myself out of my phone, and had to get the PUK code. I dont know whether that could have affected it at all.
Any help on this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Hey people i bought one of these nokia 6234 about 3 months ago and just recently i am experiencing the exact same bluetoothe problems as described here,anyway i tried turning the fone on and off a few times then the bluetoothe connected,but this didnt seem to work for long and it kept disconnecting,so i took it and all my bluetooth accessories to a vodafone shop twice and they told me that it has to be sent off to vodafone for maufactures warranty repairs which will probably take 2 months thats vodafone for you !! so i m not going to bother apparently vodafone thinks its internal software probably.

Nokia 6234 boot problem

Hi,
Recently I took my (old) nokia 6234 on vacation, because I was affraid I would lose my new mobile phone.
Luckily, I didn't even lose my nokia 6234 the day I went home. So I used it to save some names of songs people we met there gave us (using the agenda).
But then 'disaster' struck...
The phone still boots up normaly (the nokia handshake and my personal message still pops up), but there it stops.
From that moment the screen is (almost) completely white, with a full battery icon shown.
And after some time the phone shuts down (in total it's on for +-50 seconds).
I already tried *#7780# (whithout any succes).
I would rather not use *#7370#,since I'll lose all the song titles...
Repairing Firmware isn't an option, since the device turns off.
What should I do to fix this?

If your phone is working fine except for the screen then you may try using the Nokia Pc Suite to retrive all your messages and contacts.for keepsake
this was an issue with this phone you should take it to a nokia care point to be replaced

Nokia 6230i Bluetooth problem connecting HELP!!!

Hi, I have spent the best part of the day trying to establish whether my new nokia 6230i mobile phone that I received for xmas is faulty or is it something I am doing wrong. I just cannot seem to connect to my computer via the Bluetooth or infrared. I have been reading other peoples problems with the same thing on various websites and I thought rather than try and struggle anymore somebody here may be able to help!!! I downloaded to PC suite that came with the phone, and even downloaded a higher version (apparantly a newer one).But my phone just wont connect. I then managed to download - 1.6.1 from http://www.msi.com.tw/program/support/download/dld/spt_dld_detail.php?UID=607&kind=8
which seems to be working fine but as soon as i tried to connect it just will not find my connection on my phone. Do i need to buy any other accessories before I can connect?? I might also add that we also tried on my partners laptop and nothing is happening at all.Am i doing something wrong. somebody please tell me if I need to buy extra USB ports before using this feature. Although being Bluetooth I thought this was wireless?? Also any recommendations on how to use the infrared would be great to. Sorry to drag this on - i am not new to phones as i have had many but this has got me stumped. Thanks in advance for any help. Dawnie33

If your Bluetooth solution is Bluesoleil, I would firstly update your Nokia PC Suite to latest version, 6.70.22 from www.nokia.com/pcsuite ( I don't recall by heart what was the level of BlueSoleil support in PC Suite 6.5, but it can be that your problem is partly related to BlueSoleil not being officially supported with that old version of PC Suite (6.5).
Then the next thing is to look around for intructions how you make sure that if you have Windows Xp SP 2 (which has microsoft own Bluetooth sw solution that easily "fights" with any other Bluetooth sw), how you make the Bluesoleil work in your PC flawlessly.
Google is good help for that, search for links like: "BlueSoleil sw problem in XP SP2" or similar and look for instruction how you make sure you only have BlueSoleil sw in active use.

Nokia 5200 - bluetooth problem

Hi,
I bought a Transcend 1GB microSD card for my Nokia 5200.
I was able to transfer approx. 600 MB of songs via Bluetooth from my laptop first time I tired. The Memory card shows nearly 400 MB free space but I am not able to transfer any more data.
The error I am facing is :
FTP error - possible error - folder is not empty or file/folder is read-only.
Any help is appreciated.

wow...sounds great..in order to solve the problem you had to BUY a cable... so in order to use WIRELESS services on Nokia 5200 through STANDARD bluetooth connection, we have to buy a CABLE (wasn't it WIRELESS??) and use a VENDOR-SPECIFIC software (wasn't it STANDARD???)... wow... Nokia really rocks, man! :-S
I'm writing this since I had exactly the problem you had... I had 125 files in the 1giga microSD for an amount of approx 725 mega occupied on the card, and I got exactly the same message.
I "solved" the problem deleting files and getting below the "threshold" of 125 files and uploading more files... really frustrating when you've to CHOOSE between the mp3 you'll be able to listen, even if you've paid for 1giga memory and still have 1/3 of the card free...hope some buddy of Nokia will read this...

Nokia 6234 Network Problem

I have an unlocked 6234. When I insert my Orange SIM and turn it on, it takes a while before recognizing the operator which is not normal. When I insert a Vodafone SIM, it instantly recognize the operator. I have it from a friend from a village. In the city near that village he had signal, but in his village he hadn't.
The thing is, I live in a city, I get signal, but can't make a call. I tried both Dual mode and GSM. What could be the problem ?

if terms and conditions have been met the company are obliged to give you the lock code although some networks are a bit shy when it comes down to this the phone can be unlocked but will void warranty and suggestions of going about that is not permitted here

when i try to connect to another phone or to a bluetooth headset my phone doesn't recognize them. but when another phone try to connect to my phone everything works fine.
what could be the problem?
i have version 5.81 of firmware.

Nokia 6300 Bluetooth Problem?

Hello Everyone,
I Recently bought my beautiful Nokia6300.
From my previous phone (6310i)I have the Cark112 Bluetooth Carkit. But when I try to make a bluetooth phonecall with my 6300 through this carkit, my correspondent can understand me only for one minute, after that there's a lot of annoying noise and he cannot understand my clearly... so I have to stop the call. I tried to call with the 6310i again, and there was no problem, everything worked fine...
Does anyone knows where the problem could be? Is this carkit too old? Is the bluetooth in new phones different from the older 6310i phones? Maybe the problem is the nokia6300, I really would like to solve this annoying problem, cause I would like to call handsfree in a proper way..

Just a note - I had same problem after an update but while I couldn't switch bluetooth on in the menu, I was able to go to the paired devices section and, after trying to connect to a device, bluetooth is activated.
In summary - don't use the bluetooth on/off - use the 'more devices' etc. menu. If you simply search for a new paired device or try to pair with an existing one the bluetooth should come on.
Not perfect - but I really don't want to try hard reset as my usb connection is broken also.

Nokia 770 bluetooth problem?!

Hello, I need help with this bluetooth situation with my Nokia 770. I loaded lastest software from nokia site and again nothing ... I believe that BLUETOOTH on this device is not working ? I didn't find in manuals or on the internet anything that helps.
Is there some switch to turn for bluetooth, can I send you some diagnostics from device?!

Nokia 5700Xm Bluetooth problem Help Me !!!!!!

Dear frnds im using Nokia 5700XM, two days ago suddenly my phone Bt. got prob. it cant send files via Bt but it can recieve all kind of files..... plz help me Help me.

Firstly check that there are no proxy set-ups in your browser, go in Internet Exploerer to tools, connections, LAN settings and make sure all the tick boxes are deselected.
Also check your phone has the correct APN, go on the phone to tools, settings, connection, access point in use and set it to the default as per your operator, Usually it is just "internet"
If all else fails, try install another browser like Firefox or Google Chrome and see if they give you the same issues.

i just bought a 5610 today and replaced my 5310 ...on transferring the data from 5310 to 5610 some files were transferred but in the midway...the phone gives me messages ..."operation failed"...and i cudnt transfer any morefiles

Why don't you try the backup & restore of PC Suite(which supports both phone)? Later version supports backup/restore to a different phone models. I always used that when changing phone & if I need only the phone book I use outlook to sync it.

Nokia N96 bluetooth problem

The phone does not detect other buetooth devices. When i click new paired device under the paired devices in the bluetooth section the phone displays the message " (no paired device)"
The phone is visible by other devices and can pair with them, but it just does not detect and display other devices so i am unable to use my handsfree set.
What could be the cause of this?

Did you check the visibility status of the other device you are trying? does it set to visible? for example in your PC go to bluetooth settings and check "Allow other devices to find this computer" similarly blue tooth headsets are usually in hidden state, you should make it visible by looking at the headset manual. If your headset is with only one call/end key usually a long press (form off) will put it in visible mode (usually an active light (rather than a blinking light) is an indicator for visible mode) Let me know if it was a help.

To Nokia - Bluetooth problems or 6300 and 3110

Dear Nokia,
Please, please you are killing everyone with your Nokia bluetooth phone incompatiblity.
What do you guys intend to do?
Do you acknowledge there is a problems.
I bought a 6300 when I lost the best Nokia ever phone 6230i.
The bluetooth connectivity is appalling.. Echoes and cut outs plague the receiver of your call.
So far bought BH200 useless, HS26W Jabras do not work, and BH100 does not work.
I then thought it was the phone, but so bought another 6300 it also has the same problems.
I then bought the 3110 classic which actually has a lovely keyboard layout. The phone is great, but the bluetooth problems are the same/ slightly better.
Nokia Uk are not helpful... They just say return the phone to o2. They live in denial...curse on their houses.
Nokia has beeen very sloppy on this bluetooth issue. They will kill their business. They have lost my loyalty...
I am now faced with buying a Samsung. Sonys are terrible and Blackberrys are too small to use in a moving car.
My hi-tech friend says it is incompatible bluetooth software on the phone. Nothing you can do till NOkia acknowledge the problem and send out a new patch..

I am also having the same problem.
I have a 6300 and a Samsung WEP150 headset.
The headset works fine with My SonyEricsson W810i and I can also transfer contacts between the W810i and the Nokia 6300 using bluetooth but for some reason the 6300 can't see the headset.
Seems like Nokia haven't got thier bluetooth implementation quite right (At this point it seems the most likely cause). If they can provide a solution I'll be very happy to be wrong.
I'll let you know if I find a solution.

Nokia 6234 problem

i got a problem everytime i connect my nokia 6234 to the computer it says that the usb device is not recognised and when i click to see what it is wrong it says that no drivers are installed for the device. is there anything i can do to fix this?

You wouldn't by any change have installed PCsuite on your pc yet?The drivers are installed when you ionstall pcsuite. Latest version of pcsuite is available from http://europe.nokia.com/pcsuite

Memory on a nokia 6234

Could someone give me some advice on the memory on nokia 6234 as my phone does not have much memory on ot even though i have saved everything to the memory card which is less than half full???

I have had my 6234 for approx. 6 months. I have got the same problem. I have tried to update firmware, back up and restore all my files on PC Suite and even found a programme that shows you invisible folders on your 6234. All to no avail. I have got nothing apart from 6kb of things on my phone and i can't send txt messages as memory is full!! As a last resort i have taken it back to the shop and will collect it on Wednesday with the software being re-installed. Hopefully that will work although i do feel that it is going to be a repetive problem. If anyone does have any solutions that do work please let me know. Cheers.
