Nokia 625 Unable to find a bootable Boot Option

Hi.
I have a Nokia 625 that will not boot. I only have this error message after the nokia logo :
ERROR : unable to find a bootable option. Press any key to shut down.
it appeared suddenly, while I was using the phone it restarted itself and since then refuse to boot.
I tried the Nokia for retail and the Lumia software recovery tool. Both the latest version.
Both does not detect the phone I first but detect it when using the "please connect only one phone" option.
then my phone IMEI and model number is correcty detected, and I then download an 1.4 GB package labelled Nokia Lumia 625 (RM-942) 3052.50000.1424.0003.
However after downloading and checking the package the install stops at 0% with the error message : Phone is not supported. The selected phone is not supported by lumia software recovery Tool.
I tried with several USB cable that both works fine with other devices.
I was also unable to hard reset it with the button.
I hope somebody will be able to provide a solution, since the phone is still in warranty, but warranty service was denied since the cristal is cracked at the bottom (it falled and was cracked month ago, and the LCD and the touch function were still functionning fine).

Thank for your reply. Too bad there are no DIY fix.
Do you have any idea what is the official warranty policy on broken cristal? Or perhaps somebody from MS or Nokia can clarify. The screen and touch are fully funcionnal, to me it seems harsh to deny warranty because the cristal is broken.
The phone was purchased in Mexico, and Nokia Mexico sent me back to the operator (telcel) for warranty, which was then denied, but since I didn´t saw anything about broken cristal on Nokia warranty policy, I don´t know if it´s a local service center policy, a case by case decision by the technician or an official policy.
Definitively dissapointed by Nokia here. Especially since my Note 2 that failed me at about the same time and couln´t be fixed, was replaced by a brand new Note 4 for USD $100. Quite the contrast.

Apple removed blood glucose until further notice. The reason behind this is that it gave a distorted picture in countries where the medical world used other measuring units. I suspect it will be available again in a future update.

If calc manager was installed after the web configuration, re-run the web comfiguration step. You may also need to cycle the OHS service on foundation afterwards.

  • Nokia N8 - Unable to find any folder named "Receiv...

I have been an ardent fan of this cell phone.
But slowly this is eroding my romance for this cellphone.....
Well I transferred 2 videos via bluetooth to this and I was unable to move those files from the inbox to E drive ..... No such options are available - I searched for "received files/folder" in file management but was unable to find any folder named "Received files" in either C or E drives.
Not sure if I am missing out something here. But seems like this is very poor programming from an OS perspective that such basic options are not provided.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Well under E: the folders that were present are
cities, games, images, installed files, music store files, nokia_ovi_suite_instalxxxxx, other, playlists, sound files, video clips, 355944040xxxxxxx.ndif, autorun.inf, install nokia ovi suite xxxxxx.exe, nfsshift_1_0_5XXXXX.sis, qf
I am from India and brought this phone from a noia vendor. Not sure if they provide some thing else when you buy through a Telco service provider.
Anyway, after long desperation, I thought I will give a try on experimenting a bit on this. So I created a folder named "Received Files" under E: drive  and Lo and behold.......a similar folder automatically got created under C:
And now when I transfer files via Bluetooth I receive them in E:/Received Files and even if I delete the file from Inbox it is still there in E:/Received Files.

  • Unable to find ADF Faces core option in the component palette...

    Hai
I am learning ADF framework. Iam going through the ADF developers guide..
When i am layouting a JSF JSP page .. am unable to find the panelPage option...
In the tutorial i read like this
component palette-->ADF Faces core ---> panelPage.
I am unable to find this option...i am using Jdev10.1.3
    any one can help me....

    What exactly can't you find?
The component palette? It is by default on the right side of JDev.
The ADF Faces Core option? The component palette is by default initiated on HTML Forms (I think). When you click on this, you'll be able to select the desired option.
The PanelPage? When selecting ADF Faces Core as describe above, you should see PanelPage among the possibilities.

  • Can't find HDD on boot option on Lenovo G505

Hi, I'm a new user and I want to thank you for all the support you will give me.
The last time I tried to start Windows I saw the message "checking media..." on the screen and then "EFI Network 0 for IPv4 - boot failed". I entered the BIOS to change the boot option and set my Hard Disk as first but I can find only 2 items in the list: EFI Network 0 for IPv4 and EFI Network 0 for IPv6. In the Information tag in the BIOS I can see my Toshiba HDD. How can I solve that? Thank you.

could you please change the boot mode to legacy?
( also disable the pxe boot to lan )

  • Error: Unable to find a bootable option. Press any...

My 1020 no longer wants to boot up and stops with the above error code. I have tried the lumia software recovery tool which after an hour and half of downloading software for the 1020 says , my phone is not supported. Oh how spiffing.. I have tried as mentioned in some of the support messages of uninstaling the software, restarting the pc, reinstalling the software, and after a further 90 minutes of downloading the software, nothing. i have tried doing the hard reset with the buttons but I cant get through it without the error coming up.
What I just want to know is, am I wasting my time with the software recovery tool? Is it location dependent? I am in the UK. The software recovery tool knows its a 1020. Should I just get the main board replaced? As far as I can see I have yet to see anybody sucessfully use the Lumia Software recovery tool.  Is my lumia 1020 toast?  I have tried disconnecting its battery for 10 minutes that didnt do anything either.
Any constructive help would be wonderful. Its only a year and a bit old. And no I didnt have insurance as I thought paying over £40 a month was enough.  By the way downloading 1.53gigs and waiting the best part of 2 hours to be told within seconds of trying to install the software that phone is not supported is frankly rather dissapointing. I had a few other choice words but we have to be polite do we not.
How come the software recovery tool knows everything about my phone goes off to get the software for it then says its not supported. Whats the point in that?
    Kenneth.

Yep I know about the warranty, which it was out of. All I did was replace the screen a few months ago. It was suggested I turn off the phone for 10 minutes, I was dubious about this but gave it a go any way. After the disappointing behavior of the 'recovery tool' and the lack of online help I would try any thing. I am even considering a main board transplant from a damaged phone. However I will give your idea of a discharged phone a go. Thank you.
Using the Lumia software recovery tool 5.0.0 seems to be a waste of time. After waiting up 2 two hours to download the software it says the phone  is not supported. A former flagship phone and its not supported, stunning..  Even completely draining the battery as suggested does nothing. Any other ideas for those whose wonderful Nokia experience has just crashed and burned?
By the way, the phone in its current state is a brick, I have nothing to lose by trying something.

  • Unable to find Shopping Cart Preview Option in SRM Shopping cart Applicatio

    Hi Guys,
I am a testing some scenarios in SRM-MDM Catalog and SRM Shoppincart where i have to add some items from SRM-MDM Catalog to Shopping cart preview but i dont find any Shopping Cart preview option. Can any one make me clear how to know which SRM Portal User has privelege to see that Shopping Cart Preview option.
    Thanks
    Ravi

    Hi Ravi,
Can any one make me clear how to know which SRM Portal User has privelege to see that Shopping Cart Preview option.
This totally depends on the settings made for that User in Configuration UI.
When you open your Configuration UI with User Master and password Blank (empty), you will get screen as shown in page 24/28 Configuration view. Here you will select User e.g. User1 not Default User to whom do you want to assign Shopping Cart Preview Option by clicking on radio button Cart Preview in shopping options under General tab. Then the same user you will define in External webservice.
Please refer Page 24/28 of this below article:

    Kindly revert with result.

    Hi,
This is governed by the shared services role of "Dimension Editor", have you provisioned the role to the user that is accessing workspace?
    Cheers

  • Unable to find "Organize Bookmarks" to export them to a HTML file

    1. I am using Firefox 4.0.1.
    2. I believe the installation is corrupted and wish to reinstall Firefox.
    3. Despite what the Help Page states, I am unable to find the "Organise Favourites" option under the Bookmarks tab at the top of the page.
    4. The only options available are "Bookmark this page", "Subscribe to this page" (greyed out), "Show all Bookmarks", "Bookmarks toolbar", "Recent Tags" and "Get Bookmark Add-ons".
Please inform me how I may expost my bookmarks to a HTML page so that I may re-import them after I re-install Firefox.

"Organize Bookmarks" has been renamed to "Show All Bookmarks" in the bookmarks menu.

  • Nokia Lumia 620 "Error: Unable to find bootable op...

    Hello
I'm in need of some help with my Nokia Lumia 620. It is 21 months old.  It was running on Lumia Denim (WindowsPhone8 (8.10.14219) according to the Hardware/Software Info on my account on windowsphone.com)
Today the screen suddenly went black when I tried to open the email app and started to display the message "Error:  Unable to find bootable option. Press any key to shutdown"
I have tried removing the battery and replacing it after ten mins.  I still get the error.
I have tried removing the battery and sim card and replacing the battery after ten mins.  Still no joy.
I have tried to perform a HARD reset. This doesn't work as as soon as the power button vibrates and I press the volume down button the phone shuts down, the exclamation mark never appears.
Please could you point me in the right direction for solving this and getting my phone up and running

Hi, deffers90. Welcome to Microsoft Mobile Community. Since all the possible troubleshooting steps didn't help, consider sending the phone to our Care Points for assessment as suggested by @93tid. Everything will be deleted once the phone undergoes repair. To look for the nearest Care Points within your area, see: Local support. Keep us posted.

  • Nokia 822 ERROR: Unable to find bootable option.

My 822 now says, "ERROR: Unable to find bootable option. Press any key to shut down."
This occurred earlier today immediately upon installing a Verizon update. The phone worked perfectly before the update.
What is going on? I certainly am not going to accept responsibility for this failure, or replacing this phone.
Before you ask, the phone is in perfect condition otherwise. Never dropped. Never seen even a drop of water (or any other liquid).
One thing peculiar I did notice was that the update took over an hour to download, which seems like quite a long time considering data transfer rates.
    So, what can be done?
    To recap:
    1) My phone worked perfectly. It was in perfect condition.
    2) An update was installed (which Verizon recommended (and I'd go as far as to say forced))
    3) Now the phone is completely inoperable, only giving the error message listed above.
    Help please?

Hi Joel, the sim card has been removed and reinstalled multiple times with no effect. And yes, only the the original Verizon software was on the device. To be clear, the phone was attempting to install a Verizon-forced update when it died. I would rather have not had the update because the phone was working perfectly, but Verizon does not give the option to decline updates, only delay them. It should be noted that with the help of Verizon associate (Lovesa) the Nokia Software Recovery Tool was attempted, but even that did nothing.
I have now done at least 8 hours of research on this and it is obvious this is a widespread and known issue with the 822. There appears to be absolutely nothing that can be done to revive the phone at this point. After viewing literally hundreds of posts on the "unable to find bootable option" error no one has found a fix. This issue is well documented.
Why Verizon would force an update that ruins users phones is beyond me. And to take no responsibility is, in my view (and most likely the law's view), criminal. To be completely honest and forthright, I am so upset about this situation Verizon is now losing a 15 year loyal customer.

My Nokia Lumia 520 unexpectadly shut down and reebotted as i proceeded to pause my music. now the only reaction i reiceve from it is a black screen which says Error: Unable to find bootable option. Press any key to shut down.

    Hi, srikanth93.
If you are pertaining to Lumia phones that has the Windows Phone 8.1 software, yes, those are supported by the Nokia Software Recovery Tool. You can verify this info here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-ph/mobile/support/product/lumia520/faq/?action=singleTopic&topic=FA14298.... If the recovery tool is installed on your computer & it's still not recognizing your phone, try to uninstall it and install again. By the way, have you tried coordinating this with a different Nokia Care Point for a second opinion?
Note that the link will direct you to the local support page of the Philippines. If you're from a different location, go here: http://www.microsoft.com/en/mobile/support/locations/.
Best of luck and welcome to the Nokia Support Discussions. ;-)
