Rubbish phone...not able to dowload any video player...not available in store...if dowloaded also not working...back,windows,search button dont have lights in it...at very hard to use...i spoke to call center they as per Nokia it is not useful...to customers

Nokia 625 Unable to find a bootable Boot Option

Hi.
I have a Nokia 625 that will not boot. I only have this error message after the nokia logo :
ERROR : unable to find a bootable option. Press any key to shut down.
it appeared suddenly, while I was using the phone it restarted itself and since then refuse to boot.
I tried the Nokia for retail and the Lumia software recovery tool. Both the latest version.
Both does not detect the phone I first but detect it when using the "please connect only one phone" option.
then my phone IMEI and model number is correcty detected, and I then download an 1.4 GB package labelled Nokia Lumia 625 (RM-942) 3052.50000.1424.0003.
However after downloading and checking the package the install stops at 0% with the error message : Phone is not supported. The selected phone is not supported by lumia software recovery Tool.
I tried with several USB cable that both works fine with other devices.
I was also unable to hard reset it with the button.
I hope somebody will be able to provide a solution, since the phone is still in warranty, but warranty service was denied since the cristal is cracked at the bottom (it falled and was cracked month ago, and the LCD and the touch function were still functionning fine).

Do you have any idea what is the official warranty policy on broken cristal? Or perhaps somebody from MS or Nokia can clarify. The screen and touch are fully funcionnal, to me it seems harsh to deny warranty because the cristal is broken.
The phone was purchased in Mexico, and Nokia Mexico sent me back to the operator (telcel) for warranty, which was then denied, but since I didn´t saw anything about broken cristal on Nokia warranty policy, I don´t know if it´s a local service center policy, a case by case decision by the technician or an official policy.
Definitively dissapointed by Nokia here. Especially since my Note 2 that failed me at about the same time and couln´t be fixed, was replaced by a brand new Note 4 for USD $100. Quite the contrast.

Help with Nokia 625

I have a Nokia 625 and yesterday it went dead I went to charge it as normal and it didnt work I thought charger was broke so bought a new one it eventually came on but was acting strange(kept clicking random places on screen) I didn't know what else to do so I reset phone!
Now its back on and its doing the same again but only when on charge? Any ideas I cant leave it on charge as it keeps pressing itself, phoning people, putting in security code and disabling phone but only when its on charge? Works perfect when off charger any help would be great thanks

Volume changes Nokia 625

Hi all,
when I switch my phone on in the morning I,ve noticed that the volume is set to 14 being hard of earing I always try to have it set at 30 (max) which I leave it at the evening before. I've tried to make sure not to touch the the volume button before shutting down. If I set it to 30 then switch the phone off then on again straight away it is is still set to 30. Help please!

This is normal beahviour when it is powered off for some time or the battery dies.The best thing to do is put it into flight mode at night.

Wifi cannot connect on nokia 625

Brand new out of the box, got most things working but it will not connect to wifi.
have entered the password now enough times to make me so frustrated but it just wont connect.

disable WPS via Huawei » web management page (192.168.1.254 with admin:admin) » Basic » WLAN
change to WPA2-PSK (disable mixed mode with WPA1-PSK)
change to WPA1-PSK (disable several power-saving mechanisms)
After each step, test again.
Are you able to change the IEEE 802.11 standard to 802.11g-only?
Are you able to change the channel from automatic to a fixed one like 1, 6, or 11?
I do not see these two options in manual. And because I am not in New Zealand (?), I cannot test your device from here.
Another alternative would be a capture of the whole wireless data traffic. To create a guide: Which operating system are used by these notebooks?

My Nokia 625 on T Mobile does not show when voice messages have been left,

A brief banner message and sound is made immediately following the message but if this is missed there is no indication of a stored voice mail. Is it possible to have an on screen alert that remains until the voicemail is checked?

On the phone tile you should get a little voicemail indicator show that looks like this....
If you turn your device off an back on and get someone to leave a voicemail to see if the indicator appears.
If not it maybe that you need the voicemail setting refreshed from the network side of things.

I Got nokia 625 from nokia priority showrrom ,express avenue,chennai on 01-NOV-2013.From the day one, i am facing several issues and the phone gets hang.When i took the phone to the service center , they din't provide me any phone for alternate adn they sadi the phone hangs due to virus in the phone.Due to this reason, they format the phone and gave me as a new one.Then again i faced network drop issue and now they are telling , these are normal issues in nokia phone.Service center name is JOY at perambur,Chennai.My mail id is *****.Still my phone is in service center.Please , give me solution............

Devices for Denim update?

Morning people,
I've been doing some research and noticed a flaw in the devices that are getting the Denim update.
I've been looking at purchasing a windows phone for myself but Denim is a deciding factor for me.
Based on budget I've narrowed it down to Nokia 820 & Nokia 625.
Now according to the Windows website, the 625 will get Denim and the 820 will not.
Can anybody enlighten me as to why this is???
The 820 has a slightly newer & faster processor and 1GB RAM, so is more than capable especially when compared to the 625 which is running a slower processor and only 512MB RAM...
I like both phones, but swinging to the 820 due to better screen and camera.

The Technical Preview need to update the phone operating system to a specific version of Windows Phone 8.1, before updating the OS to the next level. The firmware version on my Lumia 630 is still Cyan, running the Win10 preview while waiting for Denim to become available.
The Win10 Technical Preview is only a benefit for nerdy users who try and find things that no longer works, and find new ways of crashing software. - It should never be installed on a phone that is used for anything important or confidential.
It could be a huge benefit for the Windows Phone developers who receive a lot of 'real use' data from the telemetry. It is not a secret that the Windows 10 Technical Preview comes with its own privacy statement, but some participants seem to have overlooked it.

Hi,
please can any of you, tell me if the phots stored on my Nokia 625 phone, should they auto-rotate as mine don't seem too.

You need to have auto rotate activated go to settings then screen rotation and turn it on here.
If you are on WP8.1 drag screen down and you will see rotation lock.

Error code 80C8042D syncing email on multiple acco...

hi,we have many nokia 625 phones for our works and we are experiencing a number of issues when trying to setup multiple email accounts.
the phone starts to sync and downloads a few days of mails the after a while (a number of hours) the following error occurs error code 80C8042D. all other email syncing on other accounts say syncing but its greyed out and you are not able to delete the setting.
while waiting for the syncing to fail the phone becomes unresponsive. you can text or call. if you reboot the phone none of the apps load.
switching to wireless does nothing either.
Any advice appreciated.

Haven't received email so i can download apps

Can any one help me just brought Nokia 625 went to download apps and its saying i need a verify with a email but not received it how do i get it so i can download my apps

1. make sure you're connected to a wifi network
2.go to windowsphone.com, click Find My Phone from the user menu (it's on top left corner)
3. select Ring and if it asks for phone number, DO NOT ENTER your phone number
4. your phone will ring in a few seconds if the connection is successful
now you can directly install apps to your phone through windowsphone.com, without any instruction emails
The silence will fall

Nokia lumia 625 - losees date & time settings when...

Hi should my 625 lose the date & time settings when the battery goes flat - mines done it twice now only had the phone since last wednesday

Same here. Nokia Lumia 930.
When it is set to auto, while the timezone is correct, the phone shows wrong date/time.
I set it to manual and to my surprise, date/time changed on reboot.

NOKIA Lumia 625 display resolution problem

My phone Nokia Lumia 625, with Windows 8.1, is changing it's resolution from normal. Therefore on my display appear icons and everything bigger. No possiblity to answe the phone and see who is calling, because of large image.
All the apps working ok. I have to restart phone every time) UNPLEASANT.
Please tell me if i have to take it to repair. It's still in warranty.

Hi,
I am planning to buy Lumia 625 and I have come across a piece of information that 625 has necessary H/W to support 4G in India, however it is not enabled by default and need a s/w update to enable the same.
Does any one know if Nokia has any plan to come up with s/w update to enable 4G on 625?

hi mate its up to Nokia India to either enable this in a firmware update or not, but the only ones that will now are Nokia India, not us. you need to contact them
