I have a Nokia 2720 flip phone with contacts in the phone and PIM card as well as Nokia Suite 3.8.48 on my Windows computer. Will the Lumia 520 sync with Nokia Suite or will Win 8 assume contact responsibility and eliminate the Suite?

The easiest option, it it works, is to use the Transfer My Data app from the Lumia 520. Make sure you have the latest version of the app, you can use a free app like Lumia System updater or SysApp Pusher for that. If this works, you can transfer contacts and whatever else is supported direct from the 2720 to the Lumia 520 over Bluetooth.
The Lumia 520 will NOT sync with Nokia Suite, as Nokia Suite will not even recognise it. You can connect the 2720 to NS and upload your contacts to Onedrive, where the 520 can pick them up from. Once you select that option in Nokia Suite you just need to follow the instructions on the screen. Try that if the bluetooth option doesn't work.

Nokia and Contacts (phone book)

Nokia's Ovi service for synchronization and saving the data in the 'cloud' was main attraction for me to use Nokia phones. I had an E63 set and was quite happy with it becuase of its various useful and easy to use features. I used it for more than 2 years.
Then I felt a need to change it for a newer version, and my choice was Asha 302 (for budget consideration!).
But this changeover was quite disastrous for me! Even though, Nokia stoped online Ovi service to access contacts, notes etc, yet the synchronization was still available. But after I purchased Asha 302, the synchronization of the phone could not be done with my Ovi data. The phones also refused to swith data from one to another through other media like bluetooth etc.
I, however, somehow downloaded my contact data from Ovi site. I tried to import that data through PC Suit. But that was also a grand failure. Ultimately, that could be done through various workaround. I mention to forget that, earlier i purchased an X3-01 set, and data were smoothly copied from E63 to X3-01! If data transfer is that much a headache, then in future I would think many times to purchase another Nokia in place of any other more lucrative brand!

After seeing your other posts your biggest problem is that you've switched from using a nokia smartphone to a nokia feature phone that uses a completely different and more basic operating system.
You should have chosen a Nokia E5 or E72 instead, they would have felt like an upgraded experience to your E63.

CDMA phone number transfer questions

I have a Verizon CDMA Iphone4 supplied by my company. They just sent me a new iphone5. I noticed it has a sim card slot. How do I transfer my phone number that was ringing to the iphone4 over to the iphone5? The phone is on the company plan with Verizon. I have restored all other features of the phone from a backup of my old phone.

If the phone and the number are owned and paid for by the company, then Verizon will only talk to the people who have been authorized on the account. As Ralph suggests, you'll need to go through whoever handles these this contact with Verizon as only they can authorize Verizon to change the number from one phone to another.

Getting the Phone book into an AUDI A3

I have a new Audi, with Bluetooth. the call in or out works fine, intially Phone book transfer worked well. But now, the car stops on a Please Wait message. I can find no way to force the phone book down. Any thoughts?

Hi, I see I haven't had any responses but these problems haven't been fixed.
I still haven't been able to transfer purchases from my phone to my comp so consequently have stopped purchasing on my phone.
I bought a couple of albums recently via itunes on my comp, and tried to tranfer them to my phone via a playlist, but the sync often crashes. One album transferred except for one song, and the other hasn't at all. What happens is that when I autofill from a playlist it often hangs for ages on the first song and then I have to quit the application altogether as nothing happens for ages. Basically, the whole Itunes software freezes.
After this I find it hasn't transferred any songs, but they do appear greyed out on my phone, which means it has transferred some basic data such as the titles, but not the song itself. When I try to repeat the process to complete the transfer Itunes tells me that it can't transfer because the songs are already on the phone, but they are not!! I can't click or remove on the greyed out items, so now I have a couple of almost full albums on my computer that I can't tranfer or install on my phone, and a whole bunch of greyed out songs on my phone that I can't play or remove!
The rest of the problems as above still stand. I downloaded the latest itunes OS updates but nothing's changed. I haven't done the very latest iphone update yet though because it says you need to make sure your stuff is backed up, and I don't want to lose the purchases I made on the phone that I can't transfer to my comp. I'm planning on uninstalling itunes completely and reinstalling but I have little faith that this will fix the issue.
Can someone please help at all?? I'm so sick of this!

Unable to transfer my phone book

By what method do you transfer the phone book in laptop?
These two most of the time works; by doing a one-way synch(phonebook of old phone) to outlook, making the phone dominant in resolving conflict. Then doing the reversed(in new phone) making outlook dominant in resolving conflict.
The other way is just doing a backup & restore with latest pcsuites that supports both phones. Not only phonebook is restore but almost all items in memory of old.
Check which one suits you!

quit mode, that silents everything but the vibration.
Do not need text messaging.

1000 entries is the phonebook capacity
Internal memory 15MB
External memory 4GB
so it will hold plenty of text messages

Although, I have set a phone memory to use in phone book, when I enter to phone book I see entries from the phone AND from the sim card. It's annoying cause I see the same contact twice (from phone and sim book). How to set up that only phone book will be visible in NOKIA 1661?

Transfer of Existing Phone Book

Usually when the sim card is transferred over to a new phone all the phone book info stays intact. I transferred my sim card from my existing AT&T account phone to my new IPhone but the names and numbers from my phone book do not show up. Can anyone explain why this is, I do not have that information on my computer.

Why not enter all your phone numbers / contacts into your computers address book / contacts and then sync it to your iphone. That way you have them saved on your computer for future needs and the syncing process will bring them all over to the phone.

Address Book to prepare your contacts for automatic synchronization with iPhone, and suggests you get phone numbers and e-mail addresses up to date.
