I have Nokia 6300 the phone volume can not play high when play amr files.

Yeah.I've also experiencing that on my N5300.I think it's on the firmware.

Nokia 6300 - transferring sound files

Hi,
I just bought a Nokia 6300 and pleased with it so far, but I am having a bit of trouble with getting sound files to be recognised. I have successfully transferred .aac and .mp3 sound files to the phone, but when I wish to select one of them as my ringtone the folder has a '?' next to it instead of the musical note symbol - meaning it is not recognised.
Can anyone please help?

Hello Echo. I have tried doing this but when attempting to select the item I am told 'format not supported'.
I have noticed that many items already on the memory card such as the games and other music pre-installed seem to work fine [with the musical note on the folder icon and no question mark], but I am having difficulty with my files.
Just to check - is it only MP3 and .AAC which is recognised by Nokia 6300? I also tried using the .WAV of my sound file and that didn't work either.
Hope someone can help!

Nokia N8 Alarm Clock Volume Problem

What is wrong with Nokia N8's alarm clock volume? I can not find anywhere to define the way it alarms (ascending, ringing, ...) and to set the volume.
The default clock has the ringing alarm, but I want to set ascending alarm. Also I need cont down alarm, so I tried couple of third party applications like Handy Clock, Time Machine and Egg Clock Touch. But The problem with all of them is that the alarm volume is too low and there is no where to adjust the volume.
Is there anyway to set ascending for the default clock alarm? Why there is no volume for the clock alarm?
I appreciate your help.

The alarm clock should follow the profile you're using, so if you set a profile to full volume and ascending , that should work, also if you try Nokia situations from beta labs you may be able to get the phone to automatically do what you want it to do !

IPod/iTunes Sound Volume problems

I listen to my iPod Mini on my car radio, and used to enjoy turning the music up loud sometimes. Now I cannot GET it loud, even though I have the volume on my radio and iPod set to the maximum. For audiobooks, I can no longer hear the words clearly over the sounds of traffic. The volume on the iPod used to match the volume of the radio. Now it doesn't -- if I should flip to the radio without lowering the volume, I get hit with a blast of sound.
I think I might have done something in iTunes that is causing this. I cut off Sound Check and the equalizer. I also raised the volume using the Get Info options. It doesn't seem to have made any difference for the iPod when I updated. I still can't hear it very well through my tape adapter on the car radio.
Have I done anything mentioned above to cause or fix this problem? If so, do I need to delete everything from the iPod and re-load it?

There is a lot I don't know yet, but I definitely managed to raise the volume by cutting off the sound check and the equalizer when importing new stuff. As a test, I can now hear the words in an audiobook, although the volume is still on maximum for my iPod and car tape player. Unfortunately the old stuff still sounds too faint. (Is this iPod actually updating?)
There is a problem with my car tape player. I haven't bought a head cleaning kit yet, but plan to do so. I connected an FM transmitter and tested the sound -- it was a lot louder. (In my area, I cannot use an FM transmitter in the city because of FM interference. No empty stations. So I either need earphones or to make the tape player work. Or a new car
I don't know yet whether it's the Sound Check or Equalizer that makes the difference. I don't think I ever used Sound Enhancer.

Sound volume problem after upgraded to Lion Mac OS X 10.7? Any help?

I have just upgrade to 10.7 Lion last night. Whenever I change the volume, no matter by pressing the volume up or down button on the keyboard, or using the mouse to change the volume on the top bar, the computer hangs for a while, with no sound, for a few seconds, the youtube video reset or hang, even the Safari hangs for a few seconds.
Anyone has the same problem? Any fix on this?

Sound/Volume Problems

Whenever I try to adjust the volume on my ipod touch while playing a song a get a crackling noise and the slider shakes. I know it is not a problem with my earbuds because I have tried using different types of earbuds and still have the same problem. I have also tried restoring my ipod. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Nokia 6300 - ticking sound

I hope to get some help on this. For the last few days my phone makes a ticking sound whenever I am in call. The sound is only audible by me. Sometimes it stops only to start again after a few seconds.
Any ideas on what causes this sound and how I can fix it?

I think you should take it to your local Nokia Service Centre, they can repair the phone free under it's 2 year warranty.

the alarm tone is too weak and even the ringtone is not loud enuf.. any suggestions?

It could be that your phone has got some hardware damage. Please take it to a Nokia Repair Shop and ask them to test it for you and tell you if it is indeed to soft or operating normally.

Nokia 6300 Navi Key Clicking Sound

Well I got my nokia 6300 on Wednesday and lastnight i started to notice that the navi keys up bit makes a clicking sound but not always like ill press up three times and it will start to click and then i leave it for a while and i can press it 2 times before it clicks im hoping that it will wear off and that i dont have to return it because i have heaps on stuff on the phone already.

Try to turn off the phone and remove the back cover and the battery. Leave it Idle for a minute or two after that reinstall the battery and the back cover then recheck if it's already working. You can also restore the factory settings by going to Settings > Restore Factory Settings. If the problem will still persists after performing the steps that I've provided above, you might need to send it to Nokia Care for evaluation and repair. Problem With Nokia 6300 USB DATA CABLE OPTION Not ...

Hi, I have a Nokia 6300 v.5.00. My problem is when
I connect my phone using a mini usb cable to the pc, USB Data Cable option on my phone is not highlighted, so I can't use the pc suite mode functions etc. I tried 3 different computers with Windows XP SP3 and 3 different good quality mini usb cables but still to no avail. The options like data mode, nokia pc suite mode still doesn't seem to appear. I also tried different USB slots in these 3 computers still no luck. Can anybody tell me what's the problem? Is there something wrong with IC on my phone or something? What drivers do I need? This is my first time using the mini pop port on THIS phone, I've been using bluetooth to transfer files but it's so slow. Please help

Hey guys there is a solution with you problem and it works fine for me now. After all the comments & suggestions i read i finally got the best solution for all of you. This can be very simple. Try to install the Nokia PC Suite v7.0.2
in your pc after that try to search & find the Nokia USB connectivity cable driver v6.8.2 in the web if u get it. Then uninstall the usb connectivity cable driver v7.0.2 in the CONTROL PANEL ADD/REMOVE after that install the "usb connectivity cable driver v6.8.2 in ur PC then try to plug in your Nokia 6300 it will install automatically ur phone. PRESTO your unit can be now Recognized of your PC.

So i just want to update it,but the problem is when i try to update,it says "please select a service provider"...nd shows an empty screen page.....

Nokia 6300 Very Big Probleme !!!

I have Nokia 6300 V 04.70 - 24-01-07 - RM-217
I Have 2 Big problems :
The first :
When i go To : Menu - Settings - Configuration - Preferred access pt. : it show a screen with random text about vodafone and it reset automaticaly !!!!
The second is :
When i go to Menu - Settings - Configuration - Personal config. sett. - My presence : To activate the Chat Messenger i make all the good configuration, but when i return to Menu i dont find Chat application, it appair for 2 seconds and its removed !!!
Plz help me and give me the code to cleat the wap/gprs seetings to remove the first problem

According to my knowledge, Chat option isn't available on newer phones. Not even on my 6233, though it was available on my old 1100. If 6300s of your friends have it, it must be something firmware related. As you have the Live Postcard option, it must be a Vodafone phone. So may be in newer or older firmware versions, the chat option might be available. So check it with your operator. It never is anything Personal Configuration related unless this MESSENGER is a Java app. I think you mean that Chat is a main feature available in your messaging menu, not in a sub menu like Instant Messaging. Lotus Notes 6.5 and Nokia 6300 problem

I'm using
Windows XP with SP2
Lotus Notes 6.5.4
Nokia 6300
PC Suite 6.82.26.0
When I try to synch my calendar I get the error: the system cannot find the file specified: local, mail\nllha.nsf.
A second error in Dutch "het vereiste gegevenstype wordt niet door de opgegeven database ondersteund". In English this would be something like "the file type is not supported by the database that you entered".
Any ideas would be very appreciated.

ISync + Nokia 6300 problem

This problem appeared literally overnight and has me completely stumped.
iSync has stopped syncing (or my Nokia 6300 has stopped sending) current- and future-month events to iCal. I have synced a number of times, tried removing the phone from the iSync list and re-adding it, and all that happens is all events for all months prior to the current month get synced. New events are not being added.
Any ideas??
