Nokia 6300 - Bluetooth issue in Mazda re: Music Fi...

Whenever I turn on the car engine, the phone does a search on loop for my non-existent music files. This drains the phone battery and makes it impossible to use the phone.
Can anyone help with a solution on how to fix this please?

Hi foxystoat,
Welcome to the Nokia forum.
Reset your  phone's settings with *#7780# and default security code 12345 (unless you have changed this code yourself). This should stop the search for music files.
If the above doesn't fix it, try a software update with Nokia Suite or reinstall the current software. You can do this by clicking on the green arrow in Nokia Suite.
As a last resort you can try a hard reset. In combination with the software update this should definitely solve the problem. Do make a back up with Nokia Suite first though, as the device will be cleared completely. Also make sure that when you make the back up, you don't tick the Settings box, as this will backup the bug that's causing the issue in the first place.
Let me know how you get on!

  • Nokia 6300 Bluetooth driver for Windows 7

    Hey Guys,
Since installing Windows 7 Professional, 32 bit, on my ASUS laptop, it won't let me connect to my Nokia 6300 via bluetooth anymore. It was fine with Vista. I've installed PC Suite - that still connects fine.
However when I go to connect via bluetooth through windows (so I can transfer songs through windows media player, which I have to do for some of them since which won't transfer through Nokia Music Manager), it says driver cannot be found. It then tries to find it to no avail.
I tried going here http://europe.nokia.com/support/product-support/nokia-6300/software but I don't know how to install the drivers. Where do I save them to? They're inf files and just open up with notepad.
I tried saving them to C:\Windows\inf but it didn't work. When I try to connect it just tries to find the driver manually and won't give me an option to point to that file, only the directory. But still doesn't pick it up and will say that there isn't the right driver.
    Any help?

Those .inf files you are talking about are modem drivers only.
You install them if you don't have PC Suite or Ovi Suite installed and you still want to use your phone as a modem for your computer.
To me your problem sounds more like a bluetooth stack incompatibility in your PC.
You have an Asus, so I guess you are running on Toshiba bluetooth.
Try the latest bluetooth stack from here:

  • Nokia 6300 Bluetooth Passcode

Hello, I just bought Nokia 6300 & trying to pair my exisint Bluetooth & it's asking passcode, Any idea how to find passcode? My previous phone passcode was 0000. Please let me know if you have any idea how to find passcode. Thanks

...actually the pass code your mobile is asking is for the bluetooth that you are trying to pair with your mobile e.g. bluetooth headset…
...read your bluetooth device manual and I’m very sure that the pass code is written there…Message Edited by joshua_sx1 on 18-Sep-200705:45 AM

  • Nokia 6300 bluetooth dongle prob??

i can recieve images from the bluetooth dongle on my pc but it wont let me download music. it gets to bout 15% then says "sending failed" any ideas please???

if you use that method, the music arrives at an "INBOX" in your phone and there is a liit to the file size.
Install PC Suite and use that, then you canmove files directly to right folder in your phone and even use Music Manager to manage your music between phone and PC

  • Nokia N75 bluetooth issues

    Hi,
I am having issues with bluetooth on my new MacBook Pro (2.5gHz non-unibody aluminum). It refuses to pair with my Nokia N75, it just hangs at the page that says "gathering additional information about your phone." The phone pairs fine with an older PowerBook G4 running Tiger. What's going on? I'd really like to be able to tether the phone without having to resort to a USB interface, or a five-year old laptop.
    Thanks,
    Adam Johnson

    HI Adam,
It's possible the Nokia isn't compatible with Leopard. Since your MBPro is new, since you don't have a profile, I'm assuming you are on Leopard. (It really helps us to help you if you click My Settings on the right side of the page and fill out the form then scroll down and click Save).
Try deleting the Bluetooth pref file. That can become corrupted. Locate this file:
com.apple.Bluetooth.plist /Users/YourName/Library/Preference. Drag that file from the Preferences folder to the Trash, empty the Trash. Try pairing the cell and Mac now.
Check the Nokia web site support area also.

  • Nokia 6300 signal issue

Often if I lose the signal to my phone it will not find the signal again unless I switch the phone off and then on again. Thus I have to keep checking the screen to see whether I still have a signal. Is this usual?

  • Nokia 1520 Bluetooth issue (windows 7PC)

    Hi,
I am trying to pair my lumia 1520 with my windows 7 PC. But I am getting error connection. I went into device manager and it shows " Bluetooth peripheral device"issue.
Please help me resove the issue.
    Thanks
    Arun

You man need to find updated drivers for the bluetooth hardware on your PC.
Once paired with a laptop of tablet that is all that is needed. The connection does not have to be maintained so the phone disconnects.
If you initiate a transfer the devices connect again and do the transfer.
Start the pairing from the Win7 PC in devices and printers, add a device.
For the PC to receive a file right the BT icon and select receive a file, waiting for a connection pops up, then start the transfer from the phone.
For the PC to send a file you can start with the file to share, right click it, send to, bluetooth device, and select the phone.

  • Nokia 6300 Bluetooth Problem?

    Hello Everyone,
I Recently bought my beautiful Nokia6300.
From my previous phone (6310i)I have the Cark112 Bluetooth Carkit. But when I try to make a bluetooth phonecall with my 6300 through this carkit, my correspondent can understand me only for one minute, after that there's a lot of annoying noise and he cannot understand my clearly... so I have to stop the call. I tried to call with the 6310i again, and there was no problem, everything worked fine...
Does anyone knows where the problem could be? Is this carkit too old? Is the bluetooth in new phones different from the older 6310i phones? Maybe the problem is the nokia6300, I really would like to solve this annoying problem, cause I would like to call handsfree in a proper way..
    Hope anyone can help.
    Davy

I have similar problem - the other party hear noise and/or sound is distorted, while I can hear fine.
    Do you have any follow-ups?

Just got a 6300, as did a friend of mine. Even sat next to each other neither phone will detect the other.
Friends with different makes of phone can see mine, but I can't see theirs.
    Is this a known problem?

Nope, not that I know about. Unless the other bluetooth device is not active & not hidden(should be shown to all) you'll be able to see it!
Knowledge not shared is knowledge wasted!

    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

open file manager in pc suite after you have connected your mobile to the computer.
then choose the files you want to shift to your phone, simply copy and paste them in the folder of your mobile you want.

  • 6300 Bluetooth a2dp headset reconnection issue

    Hi,
I have a Nokia 6300 with latest firmware/software. I am using a SE MW600 Bluetooth stereo headset for listening music, everything ok but when I try to reconnect it always loose connection. It says Disconnecting... .
I had the same issue before with a non-original (No brand) A2DP headset. It seems this is not the headset's issue, I think this is the Nokia 6300 phone's issue.
It is 2010 now, but Bluetooth is not compatible with its devices.
What is the solution? Why do I have to pay for something for Bluetooth, for Symbian, for Nokia phone they can not make a compatible device / accessory / software ? Is Bluetooth a standard? Why do we have to pay for those ?engineers  who can not make a compatible device?

Well, I decided I didn't want to put up with this anymore, so my Pre went back to the store yesterday. I'm just sick of having a phone that's missing one crucial feature or another--I've been a loyal Palm customer for many years now, but it seems like they have turned into a second-class company. Lack of support and updates, shoddy products, etc.--it just seems like they never quite get it right.
So, I'm somewhat sorry to say it, but I'm going to get an iphone. While I'd prefer to have a device that had a physical QWERTY keyboard, I'm willing to put up with a virtual one as long as the phone operates correctly.
So, thanks for the memories, Palm! On to the iphone I go.........

  • Nokia 6300 + vista+ bluetooth

when i first connected my nokia 6300 to my lenovo3000N100 running windows vista basic bundled by the vendor, via bluetooth, it worked, and i managed to download a few grateful dead songs to my phone.
but after that the communication between these two devices via bluetooth has stopped and as soon as i use the nokia pc suite to connect to the nokia6300 via bluetooth a message appears informing that says 'cannot use the connectio n type' etc.
now jerry garcia is dead and nokia, lenovo and microsoft are supposedly world class brands.
so what do i do to make my phone connect to the notebook.
