Nokia 6300 Call Divert menu

I have a 6300 ex T-Mobile which has been unlocked and is now on O2. I find that the menu option to "Divert all voice call to voice mailbox" gives an error "Request No Completed".
The standard *#... code to divert works fine but I'd like to get the menu option working too. Is this because the phone still has T-Mobile details. is there a way to edit this and get it working on O2?
Thanks

This could v well b an operator issue. In India a network BSNL allows call diverts to only its own network numbers. So if that's the case in ur area pls do check with the operator too.

Some time ago I set up Call Divert on my Nokia 6300 (on Orange UK), but now that I wish to cancel it, I go to menu>setiings>call, but Call Divert no longer appears. The items there are listed as 2/8 to 8/8. How do I get it back?

  • Nokia 5200 call divert

Going to Aus and want to block incoming calls.
    User guide most unhelpful.
I tried settings > call > call divert > divert all voice calls > activate > to voice mailbox and got "requesting" then "request not complete"
I tried settings > security > call barring service > incoming calls when abroad > activate > barring password > [4 digit code] and got "requesting" > "barring password blocked".
    Any ideas?

depending on your location on the globe,I would suggest you contact your service provider for more information coz barring services are supported by network pprovuders

  • NOKIA 6300 Call quality

I have just got a 6300 on upgrade and notice that the sound quality is not as good as my 6233. It sounds like the person that I am calling has me on speakerphone? is this normal, I just thought the sound quality was a bit 'tinny'

Whether the 6233 is "superior" to the 6300 is a matter of opinion and that opinion will vary depending on the needs and priorities of the particular user. Objectively speaking, the 6233 is superior to the 6300 is some respects and inferior to the 6300 in some respects. Whether and how much those particular respects matter to you, are a matter of personal opinion.
Objectively speaking, the 6233 has a superior feeling keyboard, has 3G capability, can shoot higher quality video, and has better sound through it's stereo speakers and through the ear piece.
Objectively speaking, the 6300 has a better USB connector (mini USB vs the proprietary "popport, a far better display that displays 16.7 million colors vs. the only 262k or so that the 6233 can display, a more fresh and advanced version of the S40 operating system, a very solid mostly stainless steel slim casing that is lighter weight but stronger than the very plastic feeling thicker heavier 6233. Finally, better styling.
Now, which of these features is important, or "superior" to you is a matter of personal choice. If you must have 3G, then obviously, the 6233 is better for you. If you want a fabulous display, then the 6300 is the better phone, etc. etc.
I own both phones and I think they are both great phones each with their own special advantages and disadvantages.
Personally, once I took the time to update it to the latest firmware and got used to the different ergonomics on the 6300, I decided I preferred that model. But again, they are both great phones. It just depends which features are most important to you.Message Edited by mongatu on 09-Nov-200708:49 PM

  • Call Divert Settings

How do I stop my N70 from diverting to messagebank after only 3 rings? I've check the book but can't find the answer!

you can do it from the phones call divert menu, or try this
**61**Seconds# you have this between 5-30 seconds
i.e **61**25# will divert after 25seconds of ringing,
the above code may not work if ur network doesnt support it.

  • Nokia 2310 phone call divert screen symbol

dear sir/madam,since i have been abroad in italy a few weeks ago i now have the bent arrow symbol'call divert'on my screen and in this phone's call settings menu there is no way of cancelling or deleting this icon or symbol from the screen or LCD panel.
anybody have any clues on how to fix this.
    regards danny.

Wow! I've just got back from Spain and was wondering the same thing. I was picking up my voicemail and then as soon as I hung up that icon appeared. I've received calls and texts on my phone since then, and as far as I can tell the calls AREN'T being "diverted" in any way!
However, when I go to "call settings" to try and turn on/off diverts, I only have menu options 2, 4 and 6 - nothing to do with diverts and nothing which allows me to get rid of this symbol.
    I'm also with orange!
Anyone have any information? This is driving me crazy!
(just a thought - has anyone tried to use "restore factory settings" on this problem? It seems a little drastic, but it may help)

  • Cancelling call diverts on Nokia 6630.

At present my phone only rings for about 15 seconds before going to my voicemail. I have tried to cancel the divert but my phone will not allow me to cancel when not answered nor will it allow me to increase the time before diverting.
Is there any other way around this or should i contact my network?
    Cheers

  • Call Divert E61

    Hello all,
When I restart my E61 it defaults to Divert All Calls and I have to then cancel this through the settings menu.
Does any one else have this problem?
    Thanks

OK - I had call divert problems - my Nokia e61 doesnt have the option to switch it off !!! (although the manual says that it does) a Call Divert option listed in the tools>setting> menu. No means to toggle on or off. The annoying thing is that the thing keeps going to divert all calls when I call my voicemail - which is ok when I am using the thing - but then when I finish the call to voicemail, the divert icon wont go away.
What can I do if the darn thing doesnt give me the option to remove call divert?
    Thanks!

  • Nokia 6300 queries

    Hi,
I've just got a Nokia 6300 (I'm use pay as you go) and I've got a few queries and wondered if anyone could help?
    - Is there an easy way of finding out my balance? (Right now it only comes up after a call/text messge)
    - How do I find out my own number? (I can never remember it)
    - Is there a way of setting a photo I've taken as the theme? (Rather than a Nokia theme)
    Thanks a lot!

    Ad 1):
This is operator-dependent, e.g. I dial their free service number, and the balance comes back as an on-display message. Check with your operator.
    Ad 2):
I have a folder "My numbers" in Contacts - but I am not sure whether this is standard or an operator-specific extra. I guess the former, as it works fine on my phone whis is an ex-T-mobile manually reconfigured to O2.
    Ad 3):
Within the phone, a photo can be set easily as a background of the welcome page or the screensaver, but not as the background under the menu or icons. If you want to do that, you have to produce your theme as a *.nth file, copy it to your phone and set it as a background. It is easier than it sounds - if you want to change only the background and not the icons, a free online theme creator is available e.g. on Zedge - all you need is a cable to upload your photos :-).
    Hope it helps

  • Nokia 6300 5.50 6.01

After update phone i slower than before, slower access to microSD card and slower menu showing. When will be backlight control (time and sesitive) possible?

    Hello,
I have updated my phone (Nokia 6300) from 5.50 to 6.01 using the updating software I have downloaded from Nokia's web site. Everything went well. No errors. Everything went by the book.
The reason I have upgraded is that I want to be able to play the movies at 25 fps (in 6.01) instead of 15 fps (in 5.50). The accepted resolution of the movie still does not fit the entire screen though. I guess there was a miss-calculation of harware resources when the phone was designed (or maybe I'm wrong...they know better).
The problem is that after the upgrade, when somebody is calling me I cannot see the name of the person displayed on the screen (persons already registered in my agenda). I am seeing the number only.
Unless I have called first the person in my agenda (and that particular person from my agenda has called me first), I can see only the number in the missed calls list, but not the name.
I have tried to write the contacts again from the backup. I have tried to edit the numbers in international format (instead of 072xxxxxxx, I have put +4072xxxxxxx). Nothing works. This is very frustrating since my agenda has almost no value now. I don't know who is calling me. Other people on different forums have reported this software BUG, but I see nobody has complained on this particular forum. I hope the engineers from Nokia will repair this very soon (I mean VERY!). Lucky for me I have some very cheap Chinese mobile phone as a backup until Nokia solves the problem. At least on that one I can see who is calling me. Also the battery lasts at least twice as long compared with the Nokia 6300 (BL-4C battery) one, but I guess it is fair comparing the features and the power consumption for each of them.
The speed of the card access and the menu seems a little bit slower to me also. But this is nothing compared with the BUG I have mentioned above.
    Thank you for attention!

  • How can I delete an E-Mail account in Nokia 6300

I have setup an E-Mail account (e.g Gmail) on my Nokia 6300. I would like to delete this account which is no longer needed. I couldn’t find any delete option there. Before Nokia 6300, I have used Nokia E-50. It has a very simple option in Connect folder to delete or manage these E-mail accounts. Waiting for you response.

Simply enter the configurations menu from settings, go to personal config and the account should be listed there, select options and delete.
    Simple! :-)
