Nokia 6300 not detecting my headset

i bought my 6300 new.in an attempt to delete some unwanted files,i went to the restore factory-setting.since then,my phone has not been detecting the headset.how do i repair it?

just update your phone software then your phone will bi okay

as far as i understand it, if u take the battery out of the phone, the memory is reset so when u put the battery back in and turn it back on, u will have to set the time again
if u feel that this isnt right, try updating ur phone's software using the Nokia software updater after doing a backup
if that doesnt work and u want to verify if it is a fault, take it to a nokia care point

Nokia XL not detected by pc after update 1.2.3.1

I recently updated my nokia xl to software version to 1.2.3.1. But now it is not detected by the PC. It was working fine before the update. I tried reinstalling the usb driver according to the instructions available at http://developer.nokia.com/resources/library/nokia-x/getting-started/device-setup.html. But now the mesage shown in the following picture comes up. After doing some search I found few cases where the same problem exists. Buy none of the solutions worked out for me. please help me
ps: I'm using windows 8 OS

Hi.. have you tried removing the PCS & NSU and then updating your XP to SP3?
Try that and then reinstall the PCS & NSU and it should work fine.. I had this issue a few times on the 5310 I had also under the USB option in settings try setting the option to PC suite and then turn ask on connect to off this tells the phone only to connect in PC suite mode and will not prompt you on connecting the CA-101 Cable

Nokia 6288 not detected on the software updater

I'm wanting to update my firmware on my phone but not getting this right. I can get my phone connected to the pc to do the backup and all that but when I open the updater it does not detect what phone I'm using... :roll:
Any ideas why this is happening?

Yeah, the same here! What the hell is going on with Nokia? First I've had Nokia 6280, nothing, couldn't update it, only 6288, and now? Even 6288 doesn't work!!! Why? Do you, Nokia team want to really get rid of all of your clients? Nokia 6151 not detecting Hands Free Enhancement

I love my 6151 and have just purchased a second one from the dreaded flea bay. However I'm very disappointed to find out that unlike my original handset the new one which appears unused does not detect my Car Cradle as a Hands free enhancement.
I've tried restoring to factory defaults without any success and am awaiting a data cable to try reloading the firmware (which is the latest v04.10) but can anyone suggest why this might not be detecting the hands free?
Help?!

If you are not quite sure where all the wires go in your vehicle then you should'nt attempt to install this kit, modern vehicles have very complex wiring systems on them and you can do damage which could cost you a lot of money. I have been installing car kits for 16 years and can put you intouch with a engineer near you if needed.

Nokia 6300 not switching on

I tried to switch on my ~Nokia 6300 the screen and music comes on but after a while the screen goes blank (white) then the phone switches off

My Nokia 6300 is becoming a nightmare. It is actually my elderly mother's and she has just found that it is not turning ON.
1)I have changed the sim card and put mine in and it starts up, Nokia start up, then fades to black. Turns off.
So changing the sim did not rectify the problem.
2) I have tried charging it for long periods. )note: the usb port for the charger is fragile, by that I mean 'not secure'. I'm getting pretty cheesed off. )
This appears not to rectify the problem.
3) I have searched google for forums and support for this problem and MANY posts about this problem with the Nokia 6300 but next to no solutions.
4) The only Nokia Service Centre is in an outer suburb called Morley, Western Australia.
I know this as I have had to take other Nokia's there and am getting pretty tired of it. (No after service or duty of care form the carriers ie. telstra etc)
CAN ANYONE FROM NOKIA INFORM ME WHY THIS NOKIA 6300, AND MANY OTHERS IT APPEARS, TURN THEMSELVES OFF AND WILL NOT RESTART. IF THEY DO RESTART IT IS ONLY FOR ABOUT 6 SECONDS.
Very frustrated and would appreciated a positive response on a way forward.
It is looking pretty clear to me that Nokia is no longer on top of it's game. Service is as important as the sale.

Windows 10 not detecting my headset

Hello So I just updated my PC to Windows 10 and now I can't get my headset to work. Any headset for that matter. When I insert the headset plugs (not sure if the right words since I am not a native English speaker but I hope you know what I mean) nothing happens. Absolutely nothing. I've checked for updates, no updates. I've run the troubleshooter, doesn't detect any problems. I've restarted my PC several times. What do I do? My headset is the ony thing I can use to listen! I am quite desperate to be honest. I was looking forward to checking out my new PC with all the new dandy features and then no sound. It couldn't be more dull. Thanks in advance!

I followed your steps and now the wireless security is set to "none". The PC still doesn't see the AirPort.
Unfortunately, I don't have any other computers to connect to the AirPort network to see if they work.
I think the strangest thing about this is that I can detect some neighborhood networks with my PC but not the AirPort. You'd think that it might have to do with the closed network setting like Rider mentioned but that's not the case.
I've even tried a backdoor method of manually trying to add the AirPort's network to the PC's network list but even that hasn't worked.

6300 not accepting stereo headsets

Hi!
I'm having a problem with my 6300. It won't accept stereo headsets. Stereo headphones or mono headsets are fine, but neither the HS-44/AD-44 or Third Party products with the AD-52 are working, yielding the ever same "Enhancement not supported" after probing shortly with some clicking sounds.
Any Suggestions?

It is probably not compatible if they don't have the Treo model number on their website.

Does any one know why my 6300 will not receive calls from any other carrier ,it only takes calls from optus? Help!

Do any other SIM cards work in it ? Sounds like it could be blacklisted.
Normally when a handset is blacklisted , you can send and receive SMS , but not make or receive calls.

Help! Nokia PC Suite will not detect my 6300

Hi everyone,
Phone: Nokia 6300
Operating system: Windows XP Professional with Service Pack 2
So here's the thing, I install Nokia PC Suite 6.84 for the 6300 with no trouble, but the problem arises when I use Get Connected wizard. Within the wizard, I click next, select the cable connection method then click next again. Then I get the screen that tells me to connect the cable (the Next button now being visible but unavailable. So I connect the usb cable that was supplied with the phone to a free usb port on the pc, then connect my phone (which is NOT locked) to the cable.
The phone registers this with the message "USB data cable connected. Select mode." The three modes available are Nokia mode, Printing & media, Data Storage. I select Nokia mode, and the usb symbol appears at the top of the phone display.
However, the wizard refuses to move on, failing to acknowledge that the phone is now connected to the pc via the usb cable. It doesn't matter how long I wait, nothing happens.
I cancel out of the wizard, and "No phones connected" is still displayed in the PC Suite.
I have tried the following to no avail:
* Patching PC Suite
* Uninstalled PC Suite and trying again
* Using the slightly earlier version 6.83 of PC Suite
* Tried different usb ports
* Reboot the computer
* Turn off the phone and start again
It's driving me round the bend, so any help would be greatly appreciated!

Do full uninstall of all PC Suite components from Add/Remove Programs - PC Suite, Software Updater, PC Connectivity Solution, Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver, all Windows Driver Package - Nokia ... (might get errors here, but go on). Restart and reinstall PC Suite...
Oh, also it will be good if you have another computer with PC Suite on it to connect the phone to - just to make sure it's not the phone...Message Edited by kamenlitchev on 21-Nov-200710:28 AM

Nokia 6300 stuck on headset

I have a Nokia 6300 and I have never ever used a headset with this phone, however this phone is stuck on headset mode!!
As a result I cannot hear anyone when they phone or when I phone.
Does anyone know how I can resolve this - I have not altered any of the settings as it worked when I went to bed and now it does not!!

Try taking the battery out for a few minutes then put it back in. If not resolved, then try resetting your phone to factory defaults. =)

Nokia 700 won't detect any headset?

I have big problem here. I am having a problem with my Nokia 700.
Whenever I connect my headset to the phone, it did not detect! I have already plug in properly.
Please help me, I need it to listen to radio!
This happens a few minutes ago, when I'm turning off the radio.
I turned the radio off, but it froze.
When I unplug the headset, I'm surprised that my handphone is still playing the radio.
After that, it stops working and this happens.
I already restart, restore and remove the battery. The software is the latest version.
However, it worked on my computer, but not my hand phone.

but dont be too happy, you will get the problem soon.
It is not the problem of the software.
it is the problem with the connector.
Nokia is supplying the worst quality
connector in its device costing more than 16 K in India.
I too got the problem.
went to nokia care.
they said , it has to be taken to their workshop for replacement.
I am afraid of sending my brand new device
to nokia care, as they are now providing recycling facility.
that thay may replace it with any recycled material.
Any way, i lost my hard earned 16200 INR and the trust over the NOKIA.

I dont have your headset but I would do this;
1. delete (reset) all former connected devices that had been done. Check manual how-to-do
2. after reset, hold the connecting button when searching for devices such as the fruit phone...
