Nokia 6303 contacts image size

Hi,
Just bought a new Nokia 6303 and there's a detail when calling that I dislike and I'm sure it's fixable but i just don't know how. I set a picture for a contact but when calling the picture size is very small and show in the bottom side of the screen near the name of the one I'm calling. I need to make the image bigger so I can see it on the whole screen.
Please help!

There is no setting to change this as far as I know and you can't even install an application to change this because you have a s40 phone

Oh, ok, I see...graphic designers don´t want a phone just to resize their work...
The thing is that not all Nokia phones have the same sizes for contact images.
Are you doing this for any phone in particular?

It used to be (several iPhone releases ago) that photos that were added directly on the iPhone appeared large, and photos that were synced to the iPhone appeared smaller.
I have not seen any update in the past couple of years to know whether this is still true. But I suggest trying that approach. Make sure the photos added on your iPhone directly are the most recent updates for those contacts you want to see a large photo for when they call.

Contact image size

So the iPhone contacts that appear when I get a call are pretty big, bigger than i can view them in Address Book. Does anyone know if theres a way to view a higher res profile photo in address book, or is this something that's gonna be added in Leopard?

Recommended Image Size for Contact Pictures?

Hi All,
I want to edit up some family members to attach thier images to my iPhone contacts... Does anyone know what the preferred resolution size is for the iPhone for optimal appearance?
I've tried to do this with outlook before, and I hate the way it dithers the images to a low quality.... I'm hoping that the iPhone doesn't do this and so I wanted to experiment with how they would appear...
But instead of making the images just any random size, I wanted to crop them to the preferred image/pixel size so that my photoshopped images look like what I expect them to show up like...
If you could advise with the documented or known pixel resolution size used by the iPhone it would be appreciated!

Usually there is a optimal image size for certain things like contact photos and I am just trying to help ensure that all my photos are the same size and don't vary...
I might be a little carried away with how I am formatting them, but just hoping someone already knows this answer!

Creating specific image sizes on contact sheets

I need to be able to create specific images size on contact sheets 1.75"x 2.25" on 24"w x ??"L paper. Anyone know how to do this?

I have been trying to update my phonebook through pc suite software, but when I add custom images to my contacts, they appear to automatically scale down to a very low resolution and upload to my phone. I was unable to find any sorts of settings of how to increase the size of the images beeing uploaded. The resolution is much higher if I use phone's internal interface to assign images, but this gets rather tedeous, especially since I am syncing with outlook, which overrides contact images during sync. I am sure it is a pc suite software limitation, but can it be avoided?
P.S.
I have a Nokia 6300, and I am using the latest software solution.

Same for me with an E75.
I got an vCard from a buddy by air and its embeded image was perfect. Even after a sync which copies this contact to the PC, the "high-resolution" was still available.
But I was unable to produce this by editing other contacts on the PC. Pasting in Outlook and syncing with Nokia-PC-Suite will downscale every contact image.
Even pasting the image (240*240 is not really big, isn't it?) directly into the contact application of Nokia-PC-Suite does not help (BTW contacts modified this way "forgets" it's shortcut-numbers ????)
Did anybody find a solution for this?
Today we have fine phones with superb screens but have to live with mouse like images and magnifing glases?

Fender is spot on. If the image is the same size in pixels as your screen, then most current models will give you a dull-sized image when the contact calls you. Using the screen size as a maximum size let you keep the full display benefit whilst minimising the use of phone memory.
Contacts are usually less than 1Kb in size, add a 240x320 image and it can become 10-20Kb in size - but is you use a 5-megapixel photo takes you into megabyte territory, which is bad news for the N97 which is poorly served with C: drive memory space.

In A2500, how to change the Image Size?

I have an A2500 camera. The images are great, but they're huge (1.5mb each) and fill up my memory card way too quickly. How can I use the camera's menu settings so images are stored in a smaller size?

Image size difference making PDF's in Bridge

Making PDF's in Bridge on a Mac. The image size I am using is 199 x 300 pixels (5.3 x 8 cm) and when I add a horizontal image to the output preview box, the images retain that size, however, when I add the vertical images to the preview box, although they still show as the same pixels, they display and print at 3.5 x 5.3 cm, much smaller. Need help, please.

however, all the prints need to be the same orientation. Both vertical and horizontal prints appear on the same page.
CS6 has also brought back the old Contact sheet script but I don't think this will do it either. Both PDF output and Contact sheet script are meant mainly for contact sheet use. And both have the boundary box rules as it seems, maybe you should play more with dimensions and rows/columns but I doubt this will give you the result. In older versions there was picture package which maybe was more what you needed?
Don't know why you need them to be the same size exactly? However as said, mainly for contact sheet use and not a sophisticated print module (a wish from many users)

"Out of Memory" Nokia 6303

Hi, my friend has just received his Nokia 6303. He has copied over his contacts, but is receiving an "out of memory" message when trying to assign a photo to a contact. He has 2gb micro SD card installed, and also receives this message when he removes the card and re-inserts it.
He can however browse any files that are on the card.

adress book is held in phone memory. So it doesn't matter how much Sd card space is free.
You can check this: go to contacts, in the settings you can select whether phone, sim or phone+sim are used to store addresses. No entry for memory cards...

Nokia 6303 classic issue with opera mini

I just bought Nokia 6303 classic and contacted my provider for enabling gprs on the phone, and I received and installed the configuration by sms. While these settings work just fine with the phone's browser, Opera Mini and all other apps can't connect to the internet. What should I do to fix this?

Nokia 6303 Classic Displays CALL only instead of c...

I've an orange sim card and this seems to be only happening with this network.
I do not know who is calling me. The display shows "call" even though the number of the person that is calling me is on my contact list. This happens with all numbers.
Strangely, it knows if I am calling out, and if someone texts me.
Does anyone know anyway around it?? I've gone to settings/Display and checked the Notification details, This was already set to "show" which is fine but this still doesn't even work.
I've even updated this to V10.10 of the Nokia 6303 Classic firmware. CALL still is appearing even after the update.

Nonetheless, this is a common problem with Orange. I suggest calling them. They should be able to update your SIM over-the-air and it'll sort the problem out.
