Nokia 6500 skude video calling

I want to inform you that I have Nokia 6500slide. Recently i got IDEA cellular 3G service. When i try to do video calling, images from other phone comes on NOkia 6500s but images from front cam of Nokia 6500s dont be sent to other mobiles. when i clikc cam icon while video calling, it tries to process but then show operation failed. When i press cam button at right hand of the mobile it show not allowed.
I am unable to send my image to others while video calling only can see other.
I dont know whats wrong in Mobile.
Kindly suggest me to resolve this problem

You need 3G or wifi to make video calls,it supports skype.,things have changed now where apps are used rather than native. So no its no native video.

Hi,
I was wondering what the maximum length of video recording is on this phone ie is it as long as memory card lasts or is there a maximum time in mb or time that it can record.
My wife has the 6500 slide but our toddler got his hands on the phone and Ibought a micro sd card to put in it but it does not stay in it, I was wondering if this is the design or if there should be plastic bits to hold the microsd card in place which may have got damaged. I thought maybe it was secured by the phone back but when i remove it carefully I see the microsd is nowhere near where it should be.
I am looking to change my phone and would like a nokia which can record in high or low quality like the 6500 slide, will save video when the battery is running low rather than just turn off and lose the video recording. I have another brand of phone and this happens sometimes when making a recording and it is lost. It seems with the 6500 slide this does not happen but it saves it instead. I would also like it to have good battery life if possible,

hi there Candi86, i just answered your question about the memory cards not being recognised in your 6500 slide, so i'm guessing in the four hours between questions you went and bought a 6500 slide . so quick to decide!
anyways, to answer your question here, yes 6500 slide does make/receive video calls, the camera is on the front near the earpiece. you will see two smallish holes, one of these is the VGA camera using for video calls and the other is an ambient light sensor. it would be awkward to use the main camera on the back as a video call camera! but no worries, as i've stated, the one on the front serves this purpose.

Video call over 3G update on N900....

Any progress or update from nokia about this video call over 3G function on our beloved N900...can anyone from nokia or software developer can give some hint to us...???..if not,nokia is suck and bulllshit because letting their loyal user like suck without suport..they just left user with the great community suport only...i love nokia community but nokia company and its suport like **bleep**...

i think he means 3g video calling with your network provider , not skype not gtalk....
and there has been some talks at TMO more chance of getting 3g calling from our maemo5 community, not nokia .

I have nokia c5-00-2 with 5MP camera. I'm looking for a skype version with video call option.. As one of my friend had it when he was in Suadi Arabia and used to call me video chat from his c5. Skype for Symbian has been discontinued and stopped working. Since the Nokia C5 works with Symbian S60 you won't be able to use Skype any longer. Please read this:

if you choose a contact and you're offered the option to video call it will work (most Nokia phones from the last few years can make video calls over 3G) but using a mirror may not be the best of experiences ? You would at least see the person at the other end , it's not a feature I use personally but have tried it and it works fine as long as you have a decent 3G signal

Video calling on nokia N95

I am using the Nokia N95 on a Canadian network,Fido/Rogers. I have the 3g service activated,but when i try to make a video call it says network not supported.
I have another phone brand and it works fine,does not work with the N95

If you have an original N95, then it does not support the North American WCDMA (3G) frequencies and thus cannot do video calls in North America.
For that, you'd need the recently released N95 for North America.

It will be in a Browser on a Mac and involve a Video Plugin (most likely Flash).
GoogleTalk in browser also involves a Plugin.
It used to be Flash in the very beginning but then Google produced their Own - which at times has been known to clash with the Flash one
However Mac to Mac with Facebook will allow you to both use Messages.
Facebook's Chat ID is a Jabber ID and added as such (Other in Mavericks).
Google Talk is also a Jabber Server and Messages has a separate account option for that.
Messages can Video chat, Mac to Mac over either the AIM service (AIM and Apple Issued IDs) or over Jabber (those listed above or other Jabber server IDs)
What Messages cannot do is Video (or Audio) Chat to someone logged in via a Bowser to Google of Facebook or using a specific app (there was an GoogleTalk for PC app at one stage).

Nokia 6500 call problem

Hello.
I have owned a Nokia 6500 slide on the 3 network for just over a year now, it's a decent phone and I've had very few problems with it until recently. The current problem is that when I make or receive a call, there is no audio/volume. Once the call begins to ring or I answer, and it's connected, there is no volume. However, if I change it to loudspeaker, it can be heard perfectly normally as if it were played through loudspeaker (obviously). So in short, the "handset" option of the call is muted. I have checked the obvious thing such as settings and makings sure the call volume was high enough, but there is just no sound at all when on the handset setting of a call. To make a personal call I have to make it in loudspeaker and everyone can hear.
I also had a problem wiht my contacts, and I downloaded the latest firmware and it fixed that problem. However, the loudspeaker call problem has remained. Usual searching hasn't sufficed, I appear to be the only one wiht this problem. Hopefully somebody can help me out here.

Take it to the nearest Nokia Care Point. Probably your speaker is damaged.

Skype video calls on Nokia E7-00 Symbian Belle

Please advise if video calling will be available in the future on Symbian Belle phones.
Belle is so much faster and works fine for Mobile video phone calls.
My friends overseas wish to skype video call me when I am out and about.

Video call is not available on Skype for Nokia Belle (I really don’t know why and also would like to know why it is not working).
You can download Skype either by launching Nokia Store (Search for Skype) OR from http://www.skype.com/m.
