Nokia 6630 - Contacts Groups disappeared after fir...

Hi! I just made a firmware update to my Nokia 6630. Before that I made a backup of my contacts using the backup function in Nokia PC Suite 6.81.13.0, and on my RS-MMC memory card. After the succesfull update, and restoruing my backup, all my groups have dissapeared, so the ring tones setting of each contact are gone. Is there a way to save the grops ore have I done something wrong? Thanks in advance.

This is a fix/workaround for that issue.
If you dont have a gmail account. make one.
setup itunes to sync contacts to Google.
run a sync with your iPad on itunes like you normally would. This should fix that problem since the contact entries will be reset and replaced again.

Contacts will disappear after bulk vCard import

Hi all,
After bulk importing multiple 700 vCard contacts to the Address Book application (Version 8.0 - 1371) on Mac OX Mavericks, they disappear after closing and reopening the application, just showing the original 7 iCloud contacts I previously created.
Facts:
I am trying to import (by drag & drop) 700 vCards 2.1 - windows latin 1 (already selected this format in the Address Book Settings), created with Outlook 2002.
Address Book is connected to iCloud
Already tried, unsuccessfully:
Merging previously all vCard into a single one.
Doing the import after disconnecting iCloud, merging the contacts, reactivating iCloud.
Doing the import after disconnecting WiFi and LAN, merging the contacts (even without reactivating them afterwards).
Creating a new contact after the import before closing the application.
The previous 3 combined.
Importing the merged vCard directly on iCloud (getting Error though the file doesn't exceed the limitations)
In any case is that after closing the application the imported contact not be there any more: only the 7 iCloud contacts (or the "on this mac" if iCloud deactivated) will remain in the Agenda. I do not think it has to do with iCloud.
I the only clue I have, is that importing the vCards one by one, or in small groups (>10), they "may" remain recorded in the Address Book.
Does anyone have an idea or workaround to make this bulk import of vCard contacts?

So I had to do it manually... in blocks of 5-15 to see the conflicting vCards, that would not be recorded (and hence not automatically synchronized with iCloud).
Out of the 712 contacts, 8 were not recognized by the Adressbook.
No idea why, because the other 704 vCards were in the same format (v2.1) and codification (Windows latin 1), and where having also special characters in the .vcf filename or in the data inside.
I think there is a codification/import issue that Apple should check.

Nokia N8 - Contact List disappear ?

I have a Nokia N8 , recently i am facing one problem, my all the contact no. are disappear from the contact list , I don't know how was this happened? Before 10 days same problem i was face but after 2 -3 days all the contact list are appeared. so please tell me the solution for this. I can't wait for the 2-3 days. Every now and then my Nokia N8 contact list freezes when I try to select a contact fom the list, when starting a call or by accessing the contact list directly. A reboot, factory reset nor firmware reinstalling doesn't solve the problem, it only works temporarily. When the list freezes I am able to swipe through it up and down, though selecting contacts is not possible. I do see a cursor blinking in the lower half of the screen, at the position where the search window normally is. The search window itself is vanished.
Does anyone happen to know how i can really fix the problem permanent?
I used to experience the same problem on the N8, though the freeze isn't only limited to accessing the contact list but happens randomly when swiping through home screens, opening a folder etc. I managed to resolve this problem though I have forgotten what exactly it is. If I'm not mistaken it is due to an installed (bad) application that is causing the freeze. In my case it's the Whatsapp application. The freezing problem seemed to have disappeared after I removed the application from the phone and reintall it back again.

N9 Contacts erased, disappear after microsoft exch...

I have an N9. I used to have a large number of contacts. I used to have two accounts configured, one was nokia account, another one was a corporate MS Exchange. All of the contacts in my contact list were completely unrelated to corporatge account. they were configured to be
automatically synched with Nokia contacts backup service, whatever it was. These contacts existed on my N8, and used nokia account to back them up there and get them installed on N9. Now after I deleted My Corporate MS Exchage account yesterday all my phone contacts disappeared too. Running sync contacts does not get me anything. Can someone tell how I can get my contacts back?

Did you ever solve your problem? I'm having the same one. I re-enabled the Exchange account to get them back, but the account will be closed soon when I leave my job, and I need to make sure I keep the contacts. Please help if you can. :-)

Contact Groups disappeared with Iphone 5

What did Apple do to "Groups" in Contacts with the new Iphone 5? I have close to 500 contacts and NEED groups. I called several months ago after I upgraded the phone and they promised to "look into it"
There is a "Contact Lite" download and voila...the groups show up. I don't really like the appearance...black/white list but it works. Groups worked on the Iphone 4S....is apple going back to the wringer-washer days???

Only contacts added to the iCloud group will sync with iCloud. To make this your default, go to Settings>Mail,Contacts,Calendars...scroll down to the Contacts section and tap Default Account. Here, choose iCloud as your default. After doing so, new contacts will be added to iCloud and sync with your iCloud account.

Code under code group disappear after creation

I have two questions on following which are link to each other:
Q1 u2013 Code created inside a newly created code group is disappearing.
>> When I created a code group using QS41 with status of the code group indicated as u201CReleasedu201D. Next I went to create three codes with individual defect class under the code group screen. Lastly, I hits save.

Contacts groups disappear imac

Hi All
Somehow my groups in the contact list have disappeared. I do have all of the contacts but there group setting are not being displayed. I tried using the time machine and was able to go back a week or so and in the display saw the groups but when I brought them back in the contact applications the groups are still mising.
Is there someway to restore the Groups? Any help in greatly appreciated.

Yes, I did the re-boot and it did not solve it. Another thing is I went into the time machine and could see all of the groups as well as all of the contacts within them but when I try to restore it from the time machine its just says all of the items are duplicate. I did a back up and then deleted all of the contact and went back to the time machine and could not see the contact data. I had to re-install the backup I made, all is back as far as the contacts are concern but still do not have any of the groups, you would think the time machine backup would restore the groups. I may need to just re-create the groups which is alot of work.

Nokia 7020 contact groups

I have a 7020. I have some problems with netbook connection to internet with 7020 modem (bluetooth connection). I changed the phone with other and that problem is solved. But what remains a bug is the 50 contacts limit in a group. At work I have more than 100 contacts and I create 3 groups for them because of this problem. I sort them alphabetically (trying to not forget someone), but is not ok for long terms, when I want to add another contacts. In my ordinary Motorola W220 was not a problem. In addition, is very annoying that a contact may belong in more than one group (by mistake) without a warning. For example, if every group has his own ring tone, how will ring for a contact that belong in 3 groups? If I use PC Suite and I put more than 50 contacts in a group (local, on the computer) and then I synchronized with my 7020, in the mobile remains 50 contacts, but I don't know the contacts choosing rule.
Maybe 7020 is cheaper than others, but this is the reason that the basic functions must work without problems and limitations. I upgrade the software and no changes.

This is what I have done today
I shut down my telephone, removed my sim and memory card.
Restared the telephone, you'll get a notification in English that
there is no sim card that is okay just continue.
Then I have reset the phone completely to factory settings:
menu>>settings>>factory settings>>all
Wait untill the phone has completely restarted then shut
it down and put back in your sim and memory card.
I haven't copied my contacts to my telephone yet I only use
the contact memory on my sim card cause I wanted to see
if it would work.
For me it was succesfull now cause I saw the name of the person
who has called me and not the number (if it is on your sim card)
and the past days I only had seen his telephone number and not
his name.

All but 1 theme per group disappeared after Premiere Elements 4.0 crashed on start of burn to DVD

I have a project that is approximately 1 hour in length. This is the first project I am attempting to burn. I assigned a theme to the project and then proceeded to burn a DVD. Before the burn could actually start, PE crashed with a "blue screen" dump. I rebooted in Windows safe mode, then rebooted back into normal Windows mode. When I started PE and opened the project, nearly all of the themes were missing! It appears that only one theme per group remained.
What would have removed or hid the themes? I would have also expected all or none of the themes, rather than leaving just one per group. I was using a template in the "General" group, but the one that remained after the crash is not the one I had assigned to my project.
Does a reinstall restore the templates? If so, can I reinstall PE 4.0 from my CD without erasing, distroying, or losing the current projects I have created?

Before diving into the details of the items in the article, I did a few of the basic things:
stopped my anti-virus product (doh!)
stopped the temperature monitor software (doh!)
did a quick disk cleanup
turned off all trivial stuff in msconfig
I rebooted the system and started Premiere Elements. I had not attempted to reload the templates at that point, so I proceeded to "Burn to DVD". I selected the minimal quality and started the burn. That worked! Next I exited PE and restarted it and then was able to successfully "Burn to DVD" using the max setting for quality. As expected, it took a while to finish, but it also completed successfully! The resulting DVD looks and sounds great, so the rendering and burn phases seem to be working fine on my hardware.
I noticed on the CD that there is an option to load the themes, so I am going to try loading that today. I'll post more comments after I get the themes reloaded in case there are other steps involved in restoring those within the program.

I am using C3 around two months but I never found any bugs. yesterday when I was trying to connect my wifi connection to the phone it was not working. The wifi connection is okay and the wifi I am using on laptop, it is running fine. The problem is when I connect the wifi connection; the icon of wifi at the upper side of screen appear and instantly disapear after one second. I tried to find the solution online but the problem I faced is something strange and I didn't find any relevant answer. Pelase help me to solve the problem.

Nokia 5800 contacts search problem after phone swi...

Recently bought a new 5800. Used Phone Switch to retrieve contacts from older Nokia, seemed to work ok.
The problem is that ALL NEW contacts added to 5800 memory appear BELOW the contacts list (not sorted) AND cannot be found via contact search. This is very annoying. How can this be fixed?

It sometimes does this.
Unlock the phone, go into the messaging and come back out again.
The "new message" notification should stop now.

Phone numbers in contact list disappeared after last SW-Update

Hi,
everything worked fine until this week. My contacts were synchronized with outlook exchange. I got all contact phone & email details.
Now, I see only email addresses of my contacts. Forcing manual synchronization don't help. It seems that the synchronization works fine but there are still no phone numbers available. A mobile phone without stored phone number is a nightmare!
Can somebody help me?

Tab groups disappear after rebooting the operating system

I've customized some tab groups.
Then I close the FireFox (FF) in this way: Button FF in the upper left corner - > Exit. Then I open the FireFox - and I can see all my customized tab groups.
So, the problem is...
When I reboot my computer and then open the FireFox, all my tabs which were in tab groups are shown only in one window! So that I see only one tab group, where there are all tabs, which were in those groups.

Which security software (firewall, anti-virus) do you have?
Some security software has virtualization or sandbox features that may cause problems by protecting and restoring files in the Firefox profile folder.
App (pinned) tabs and Tab Groups (Panorama) are stored as part of the session data in the sessionstore.js file in the Firefox profile folder.

Make sure that you do not use "Clear Recent History" to clear the "Browsing History" when Firefox is closed because that prevails and prevents Firefox from opening tabs from the previous session.
