Nokia 6680-how do I fit more music??

I have a Nokia 6680 and an Apple iBook. I am using a USB card reader to transfer my music from my computer to the card in my phone, but it only seems to accept 8 songs.. I thought maybe the card was filling up and I received a larger card (1GB) as a gift -but even this huge card seems to be portioned off to only accept 8 songs.. Whenever I try to drag more songs onto the card, they don't go. Am I missing something, is the phone only letting the card accept a short playlist, or is there a way around this trouble?

Sync it.
If the device has no more capacity, remove some of the music to put new content on it.

  • How do I put more music onto my iPhone 4?

Hi, I'm not very good at technical things, so I've got an iPhone 4 and I put my music on itunes and sync'd it to my phone, since then I havent tried to add more music or anything until now I just tried to put a new album on it and all these other albums that are on my icloud or something keeps going onto my itunes and I dont want them on my phone I only want to put one album on my phone but when i go to sync it itunes tries to sync everything.
How do I just put one album from my itunes onto my phone?
    Thanks

    Hi kbin22,
Once your iPhone is connected, open iTunes. You should click on your iPhone in the iTunes window, and choose the Music tab at the top. Let's make sure "Sync Music" is checked:
Instead of syncing your entire music library, it sounds like you would want to choose "Selected playlists, artists, albums, and genres". You'll then be able to check various boxes for what content you would like to have synced.

Also, here is a great video walkthrough (though it applies to iTunes 10):

  • Nokia 6068- How do i put mp3 music on?

Hi i just bought a 6068 and it is my first phone with mp3. The only wire that comes with it is a bluetooth headset. Can anyone tell me how i get music from the computer to the phone, and do i need to buy a usb cable to connect it?

    Hi gilliankernan
Presumably there are two options available to you, either transfer via Bluetooth although your PC may need a USB Bluetooth dongle, or put phone memory card if available in a card reader on your PC.

  • How do i add more music to my phone?

I have tried every thing i sync my phone and then it wont let me drag my songs to my phone

You can either drag and drop (manually mange) or sync.  You cannot do both.
If you want to drag and drop, then check the manually manage music box.  If you do this, it will erase teh current content and replace with whatever you drag and drop.
If you want to sync, then select the music you want to sync and sync.

  • I am going from an Ipod classic to a 6th generation ipod nano .  The full library will not fit on the nano.  How do i switch out music on the nano?

I went from an i pod classic to a nano.  My music library is larger than what synced on my nano.  I want to switch to some different music in my library, how do I do this?

So is mine...by about 150GB, LOL (I've been around awhile, and have LOTS of music). Anyway, how I do it is either delete/uncheck stuff in iTunes (Not efficient as you have to select each, individual song that you want to delete/uncheck. You can't just delete/uncheck an entire album. Hold down the Ctrl key to select multiple entries) or delete things from the iTunes Music folder.
If you delete them in iTunes, you have the option of keeping the files or sending them to the Trash (Mac speak for the Recycle Bin; don't do this unless you have backup copies. I'm being overly cautious, but never hurts to have backups). Then you'd have to sync your Music manually or all the songs in your Library may try and add themselves back onto your iPod. Although, if you just uncheck them (haven't tried it) that may not be a problem.
The Music folder may be much quicker - I haven't tried this as it didn't occur to me until after I deleted stuff in iTunes. It's located in My Documents > My Music > iTunes > iTunes Media > Music - I think that's right but don't quote me as my PC is on its way out the door to a charity. I'm on a Mac, now. Check iTunes for the location, to be sure. Anyway, make a copy of the Music folder and put it somewhere safe (pretty much, anywhere else on your PC). Then, open the Music folder, in the iTunes Media folder, and delete away. This is also not uber efficient, but it's workable as long as you have a backup.
Saving your Music folder may not be necessary as iTunes now has the option of retrieving everything you've ever purchased (click on Purchased, in the left column, click on Download Previous Purchase at the lower, right and then click on the Music tab). This didn't used to be an option; used to be, you had to repurchase any Music you lost in iTunes and from your computer.
As soon as you're down to a decent level in iTunes, start adding more music and then sync your iPod. Not sure if you can drag and drop into iTunes on a PC (you can on a Mac), but you could try that. I forget exactly as I haven't touched my PC in over 6 months...which is why it's on its way out the door. After I install a new hard drive (I have one lying around), reinstall basic Windows then bake my old hard drive before putting it in the trash. LOL
I may not be quite correct about everything I've told you as all my music is stored on/copied to an external drive (even stuff I purchase through iTunes), so I just toss things in the trash as I see fit, drag stuff out, off my external drive, drop them into iTunes and sync. Plus, I'm just a skosh rusty on a PC.
If I haven't gotten everything quite right, someone will probably be along and give you better/more/more concise info.

  • Since downloading ios5 on my iphone 4 the capacity guage in itunes shows other as over 21Gb and i can no longer fit any music on it. How do I get rid of the other stuff? other

Since downloading ios5 on my iphone 4 a few days ago, the capacity guage in itunes shows "other" as over 21Gb and i can no longer fit any music on my iphone.
How do I get rid of the other stuff?
capacity available on 32 Gb iphone is 28.49Gb
i previously had 21.97 Gb music, over 6 Gb photos, about 1Gb of apps, and minute amount of audio
now i have no music, 5.4 Gb photos and similar (0.8Gb) for  apps and audio. i have deleted heaps of photos and unused apps to try to make space but obviosly this is a much bigger problem. I also created a smaller music folder on itunes to sync to but at present no music is selected for syncing due to the lack of available space.
i have 15Gb icloud account now also which is about half full.
Ive done a little research and heard similar tales but with much smaller other totals than this. Can you help?
i cant update my apps as i get a message saying i do not have enough available space.

I had the same problem today and was able to resolve it without having to do a restore or reset. The problem had something to do with my mail accounts. The upgrade reset my mail settings, switching both my gmail and my .mac mail to "archive all mail". I went into the General Settings, disabled that setting, and resynced the phone. The "other" storage allottment dropped back down to less than a gig.
Before you restore or reset, I would try that first.

Yes. Configure your Shuffle to sync only selected playlists from under its Music tab.  This article should be able to assist you with this.

  • I recently had to completely restore my laptop, so I lost the music on my itunes. It's still on my iphone, but how can I keep the music I already have and continue to add more music from the newly set up itunes again?

I recently had to completely restore my laptop, so I lost the music on my itunes. It's still on my iphone, but how can I keep the music I already have and continue to add more music from the newly set up itunes again? Is there actually a way to do this? I can't help but wonder what the stupid icloud is for if my music is still somewhere in the 'cloud' but it's zero help for restoring music when it's lost on a computer....any help even a site that get's around apple would be great!

It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer.
Have you failed to do this?
If so, not good, you can transfer itunes purchases from the iphone to your computer.  File>Devices>Transfer Purchases
You can also redownload some itunes purchases in some countries:
Download past purchases - Apple Support

Make sure your own music files are saved in the proper folder (Digital sounds) whether in your memory card or the phone memory, the location should still be:
    Sound Clips > Digital Sounds.
If your songs/mp3s are saved anywhere else, it will not show up as a selectable ringing tone.
You can move your songs through File Manager on your phone if they are in the wrong location (Options > Move to folder).
Hope that clarifies it for you.

Update using iTunes on your computer. The space requirement does not apply because of how the process works via iTunes as opposed to over the air.

The music sync is how you got the music from the computer to the ipod in the first place.
You cannot sync it from the ipod to the computer as I explained in the previous post, unless it is itunes purchased music.

  • How can I get rid of the icons in the bookmarks toolbar in 4.0 so I just have text there (fit more bookmarks in visible portion) but not switch off other icons?

How can I change the bookmarks toolbar so that it shows only text and not icons (so I can fit more bookmarks on the visible portion) in 4.0 without turning off other icons? This was easy in version 3.

You can do that with the Bookmarks Deiconizer extension - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/bookmarks-deiconizer
