Nokia 6681 Gallery Problem!

I have bought the nokia 6681 15 days ago! But i have a very serious problem! My Gallery open fast but then if i try to open the images or videos I must wait 15 seconds! I have only 60 photos and 50 videos! If i insert all my documents i must wait 70+ seconds! Why??
I have already go to Nokia Support and Service in Greece, and the nokia team sais me that i must do software update! Before the update I had the version ( 4.00.09 ) and after the upadate ( 12 days after ) team install me the version 5.37.01 but I know that there is and the version 6.09.00 who nokia did't insert it to me because sais me that the phone have a problem!
I installed and and other files browser application suck as eFileManager and more, and all files open in 1 second(very fast)
I have a mmc card with 512 mb! and is fully compatibly with my phone!

I have similar problem.I've just posted another post about this problem.I have 200 images and it takes 25-28 seconds to open Images.I've even formatted the phone memory but there is no change.i've deleted most of the data but the problem stays.I think the problem is in the memory card.Is it too slow??? I saw microSD 80x speed.Is there brand which have faster RS-DualVoltage-MMC.Mine is PQI

Nokia 500 Gallery problem.

hi. On my NOKIA 500 whn i go 2 files every sub file is not shown bt memory shows tht there is smethng in my memories. If i open files using adobe i can access everythng in my memories. Are you using any task killing Applications? Or you updated ur Software with recent updates?if you are updated with recent Software and closes the processes that are running behind then the gallery wont visible and the Pictures wont be shown When clicked.just off and on ur mobile dont Kill any processes.

Nokia n82 gallery problem

I have a problem but as I see I'm not only one with this problem...Images stored on the memory card does not want to be displayed in the gallery phone...Same Problem is with the music saved on memory card...when i format it, it works fine, but not long. The pictures i take, are not shown in my gallery, i tought it was happening because of my old memory card, but i bought a new one, and this still happens, my new memory card is Micro SD 4gb and its class 2, does this class make a difference??...I tried to reset the mobile (soft and hard) , do update software but nothing helps...

It sounds like the gallery database is corrupted, make a back up of your stuff using PC Suite so you don't lose anything then reformat the phone using the code *#7370# followed by 12345 (default Nokia lock code) unless altered by yourself. You may need to copy media off your memory card and reformat that also.

6681 SMS Problem : [

I have nokia 6681, the problem is that whenever i try to send any SMS it goes in Outbox, and then it highlights as "Resend at <TIME >". I have Hard Formatted the phone twice [*#7370#] and Flashed the phone thrice. I do have balance in my SIM and the message centre number is also correct. Should i Upgrade the Firmware ? If yes where can i get the Update? The phone doesnt support inbuilt Update Software Feature.!!

Nokia 6681 Problem

I have a problem with my Nokia 6681's internal memory. It says i have ~500 kb free, but when i explore the contents with a explorer-like program and open the Proprieties for C: it says: "Free: 424.0KB Total 8.969MB Bytes: 2.469MB. The same happens when i open it with File Manager (somewhere around 400 kb free). There's i absolutely nothing in C:\Nokia (place where you keep images, video, sounds, etc), no additional programs installed, no NOTHING, yet it says i have only 400 kb free. This is troublesome, as i can't receive anything bigger than 400kb through bluetooth (although i know i can change the place where it stores the messages, i prefer to keep SMSs on the phone memory, that's only 500 kb of messages), and i can't install any programs without manually copying it to memory card and install it trough the phone (instead of installing it with nokia PC suite).
This problem, i think, appeared a long time ago, as i noticed when receiving big files through bluetooth, and deleting them after... it wouldn't free up space, but the file was gone. I had 3000kb before i received some pics from my dad through Bluetooth.

Make a backup of your phone if you haven't done it yet & format your phone with codes that works on S60 or the three fingers mode. It will put back your phone to the condition first time you got your phone.

Problem with relaunching midlet on nokia 6681

hi,
in my application i m using 2 png images each of 1Kb , these images are on 10 screens . i m creating images in a base class n extending all other classes from it. so on nokia 6681 it works on first execution however ,while relaunching same midlet it is not running at all. i have to swich off n swich on the device again. it works fine when i remove images from base class.
the application is working properly on other devices .
do reply if any suggestion

Need advice for Nokia 6681

I have Nokia 6681,my RS-DV-MMC is 512 mb.but the phone is very slow.For example:Gallery open time-6 sec.Images open time 25 SECONDS!!!.I had 700 images before and then also takes about 28 sec.i've deleted 500 and now i have about 230 images but it takes 25 sec to open the Images.Is there faster RS-DV-MMC?!?I know there are 80x microSD cards.i have 100 MB free in the mem.card and 5 400 KB free in the phone mem of 8 MB.The Processor is 220 MHz.i think that's nothing for phone with abbilities like 6681.CAN YOU HELP ME.Just tell me which brand have faster MMC-s.

Well finally i solved the problem.It was the Anti-virus program "Symantec"(Norton Mobile/Security).The two options Auto-Protect and Firewall was On now i keep them Off.The phone is much faster now If you don't have antivirus program and the phone is slow use FExplorer>Tasks and from there with "C" "kill" the background running programs.Ofcourse without>ScreenSaver,Menu,SysAp,Telephone,Autolock.All other programs can be closed to free RAM.(contacts,log...etc.)I hope this post was helpful to you

Combined Delivery Bluetooth Transfer On Nokia 6681...

I am having a huge problem in transfering OMA 1.0 Wrapped (Combined Delivery)
content using Bluetooth Device into Nokia 6681.Â As per the Nokia Website 6681
supports Combined Delivery.I have used Microsim, Widcomm Bluetooth devices. I
have tried to transfer through bluetooth IVT Bluesoil Software. The content is
transfered into handset but it comes as a FILE (With entire TEXT of the file -
including XML stuff's of combined delivery and all). Please advice me ASAP.

Thanks for your reply. I do agree that Nokia 6681 supports OMA DRM 1.0. Now when I tried to download the file through OTA (OVer the Air) it works fine, but when I try to transfer throguh Bluetooth then its causing problem. I have also noticed that Forward Lock Audio (MP3) file works fine but not Combined Delivery.
I can send the file across to you if you provide any access point Or else Request you to advice any tested location from where I can try to transfer the combiner delivery file into handset.

Power button not working [nokia 6681]

The power button of my nokia 6681 is not working.
So when the cell got discharged and switched off, now I'm not able to switch it on.
Is there any way (like using the USB cable) that I could make it work, instead of sending it for repair?

Just to confirm that the battery isn't the cause here...
Remove the battery for a fews minutes then put it back in. Then plug in the charger and leave it for a while. Shortly after the phone shows signs that the battery is charging it might be possible to switch it on again.
Then, if it dies again as soon as you remove the charger, then it's a safe bet that the battery needs replacing.

Nokia Suite Gallery

I am unable to add photos that already sit on my pC into the Nokia Suite gallery. Whatever i do, it will only add the first 150 photos it finds, and won't add any more.
My photo folder is inlcuded as a "watch" folder in options.
I have tried dragging any dropping from the photo folder into the gallery, but although the status bar says "adding files", when it has completed it tells me "zero files added".
Can ayone help?

Hello, Feroz_Mohammed. Does the phone show any error message before it will automatically restart? Did you download or update any particular app prior to this issue? Make sure that the phone's software is updated. You can check it using Nokia PC Suite. See this link: Nokia PC Suite - Download and Support. You may also try restoring the phone's original settings by going to Settings > Restore factory settings > Settings only. Type 12345 for the lock code unless you have changed it. And then, monitor the phone's performance.

Nokia 5800 screen problems when unlocking

When I unlock my phone, I get horizontal and/or vertical lines - I can't use the phone during this time, because the display is so badly affected!
After about 5-10 seconds, the home screen will show perfectly normal. When I either lock the phone, or lock it manually, then unlock it a few minutes later the lines come back again!
Is this a hardware or software fault? If it is a software fault, how can I resolve this annoying problem?

I have exactly the same fault on my 5800 to the point where the phone is completely unusable.
Used the "Contact Us" facility 5 days ago - still waiting for a reply/acknowledgment.
I bought the phone in mid February so it was quite an early release model, V11 frimware, but the screen fault was there early on but only very occassionally. Had the phone updated to V20 but the problem was still there. However it got progressively worse until the phone became unusable. The screen can only be restored by powering off and on again but once the screen has gone into saver mode it cannot be restored via the unlock button, or any other means other than a power down.
Sent the phone to the Nokia "Anovo" repair centre only to have it returned 10days later with exactly the same fault as I sent it in with. The return advice note stated that details of the repair would be found on the enclosed letter - there was no enclosed letter. The return form states that all phones sent in would be automatically updated to the latest firmware - mine wasn't, even though Nokia notified me 2 weeks previously to inform me that there was an update for my phone.
Rang Nokia Care last week, (Thursday) to be told that someone would contact me by phone, (borrowed phone obviously, as I had stated my 5800 was unusable). Friday and I had not been contacted. Rang again Friday morning 10.30am only to be told someone would contact me. Left a contact phone number again. Friday afternoon - still no contact so rang again. This time I was informed that someone should have told me that I wouldn't be contacted until Monday as thet were all "Very Busy" - I wonder why. Today, Monday afternoon stil no one has been in contact so I suppose I am going to have to go through the whole routine again.
I am very close to the point where I am going to give up and demand a refund for an item that is clearly "Not of Merchantable Quality" or "Fit for Purpose" which would be a shame as when it worked I was really pleased with it. I bought the phone outright so I have no contract redress so am completely in the hands of Nokia. I know that Nokia is a very large company and I am but a single customer but from all the forums I have lookes at since this saga started I am driven to believe that the 5800 is causing Nokia some serious problems.
If I do finally get some acknowledge from Nokia I will inform this forum.

Thanks we are not kids anymore & wiz for that matter! Most likely that video clip is not supported by your phone multimedia player. You have two option:
1. Convert that video clip first to a format which the phone support before transfering to phone say the Nokia Media Converter(it converts some but not all video files to 3gp), or any free video converter available on the net(use your search engine(e.g. google, yahoo etc)).
2. Install a 3rd party multimedia player for phone like the CorePlayer which support almost all format available.
