Nokia 6700 low quality camera

don't know reason why my mobile camera has low quality even it has 5.0 megapixel
i check at camera setting but no way how to make it better
any suggestion

The number of megapixels affects the resolution of the picture only, other influences affect quality too.
For instance, the 6700 only has an LED flash, so it will naturally be poorer quality in low light conditions than a phone with a xenon flash. If you could define what exactly you mean by low quality, we'd have more chance of offering an answer.

  • Importing high quality video through a lower-quality camera

    (Final Cut 5 in a G5, 10.5.8)
The camcorder I'm using to shoot video for my Final Cut projects is a Panasonic PV-GS400, a good 3-chip mini-DV camcorder that shoots high-quality DV (original price $1500).
I would prefer not to use this camera to play the video into Final Cut, to save wear and tear on its tape drive (with tape, of course, one hour of recorded video takes one hour to play into Final Cut).
I have an inexpensive little Canon Elura 100 Mini-DV camcorder (original price $400) that could be used to play the tapes from the Panasonic into Final Cut, but if I did that, would the higher quality of the Panasonic's video be degraded to the lower level of the Canon's video when passing through?
To put it another way, can a Mini-DV tape with high quality video on it be imported through a relatively low-quality camera into Final Cut and still retain its high quality?
    Thanks for any help.
    Tom

Thanks much, guys. Yes, I'm using firewire. Glad to hear there's no loss of quality when the video is strained through a lesser camcorder on its way into Final Cut.
So now I'll go ahead and use the little Canon Elura as my playback/ingest camera with no worries.
    I appreciate the help!

  • Very low quality camera CY-STC1100

I'm testing the camera CY-STC1100 on TV UN40ES6500, both by Samsung. But the quality is the worst ever.
Signal quality always is lowest, see:
    More info:
TV Firmware = 1010.1, last for my region (Brazil).
Skype for TV version : 2.0
Internet connection: vdsl2 35/3Mbps GVT ISP.
Connection type: wired or wireless, tried both.
Skype tested on TV and a notebook on local network (same physical connection/router/location).
Any hint to get better quality? I contacted the Samsung support by phone and they said nothing useful, only fake information to get rid of me, "Skype has system issues today, test again tomorrow". Amateur support.
The camera is 720p only for marketing?!
    Thank you guys!

I am sorry to hear you are having problems with Skype on your Samsung TV.
That call quality indicator is actually an indicator of network strength and is not hardware dependent. It sounds like you can place a Skype call on another device from the same location (room)? Can you access other network applications in the Samsung Smart Hub (stream video, for example)?

  • Nokia 5800 low tv-out quality.

I found that my 5800 has low quality tv-out, but that is only noticeable with some images, the ones that have smooth gradients appears like if the image have bands, the question is like if the tv-out don't output a 24 bits color mode image but instead it output in 18 or 16 bits color mode.
Someone other also have noticed this?
this is a test image, internal screen or PC no banding  but with the tv-out has banding:

I bought my Nokia 5800xm in February, 2010 and it relates exactly to the above post from saquib465. It seems, the functionality can be confirmed only by using..If I get the suitable cord to try it.. can anyone tell whether it will damage the phone if the phone does not support tv-out? If so..what about the Warranty in this case ?

  • Rear Camera taking grainy low-quality pictures -- help?!

I just bought an Iphone 4 3 days ago. I've started using the camera but all of the pictures seem to come out really low quality, grainy and blurry and when I upload them to flickr they have 765 x 1024 resolution. I've seen lots of pictures other people have taken with iphone 4s and they look really sharp and crisp and have much higher resolutions (2592 x 1936). Is there a way to adjust settings? Do I have a defective camera? Here is a link to the pictures I have taken with the rear camera: http://www.flickr.com/photos/scmarvelli/

Have you taken the protective film off the back?
There is no adjustment regarding the size of the photo. How are you getting them off the phone? If you drag them off using Camera/Scanner Wizard they will be full res

  • Is the iSight camera in the MBA a lower quality one than the MB?

My friend just bought a Macbook Air from eBay, the model identifier is "MacBookAir1,1". It's had a fresh install of Snow Leopard on it and all the updates have been installed. It might be my imagination but the built in iSight image seems way below par compared to my old white MacBook. When I load Photo Booth it just looks grainy, even in good light.
I wondered is this because the camera in the MacBook Air is simply not as good as the camera in the regular MacBook? Or are the cameras the same, and it's just that the software needs something doing to it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You are probably correct that iSight hardware resolution is lower on MacBook Air (MBA).
BTW, the lower resolution cameras are not limited to MBAs. My 13" MacBook Pro has the lower resolution camera, too.
Many MacBooks (with possible exception of the MBA) have 1.3MP (1,280x1,024 pixels.) To determine whether a built-in iSight is the 1.3MP camera or the 0̸.3MP version, you may be able to use the test explained in this page:
      http://macdaddyworld.com/?p=19
If your Mac will not run that software, you can test by recording a short video test clip using QuickTimeX (Snow Leopard users only) or iMovie 8 (the iMovie version called iMovie '09 in Apple's iLife '09) at maximum resolution to see if you can capture video larger than 640x480.
iMovie 8 can use my LED Display's inbuilt iSight to record at resolutions of either 640x480 or 1024x576, but any iSight that can capture greater than 640x480 images with any software must have the 1.3MP iSight.
For info of other readers: All external iSights were 640x480 cameras.
Everything discussed so far has dealt with hardware resolution. The only thing you can do about hardware resolution is to use a different camera. This link gives info on camera alternatives:
      http://www.mac-compatible-web-cam.com/
Understand that software runs all iSights. Therefore, even if Macs with the higher resolution camera, you only get higher resolution images if the software you are using accesses the additional pixels. Therefore, don't trade Macs or cameras solely for increased resolution unless you know that the software you want to use can use the additional resolution.
For example, Photo Booth can only produce a 640x480 image, even with an iSight that offers higher resolution. If you are looking at the images on the respective Macs that captured the PB images, the difference you see may be largely due to the differences in the displays. To remove that variable, copy both images to both computers to judge whether the disparity is in the camera or the display.

  • Why is it that when I connect my iPhone 5S to my Windows Vista computer, the photos made with my iPhone are all of very low quality and most of them are turned upside down?

Why is it that when I connect my iPhone 5S to my Windows Vista computer, the photos made with my iPhone are all of very low quality and most of them are turned upside down?
On another note, the iPhone tells me that it's ''busy'' when opening a photo on the computer.
(I tried restarting my PC, connecting via another USB port, importing using PhotoStream, etc...)

Are you using the front or rear camera? When you say they are low quality, are you referring to file/pixel size, or how the picture looks? As far as upside down, how are you holding the phone? Older versions of Windows have issues reading the Metadata from the pictures and will not display the same.

Just a note for people who are as non observant as I was and who might find this useful...
My Nokia 6700 slide wouldn't sync, no matter what I did and even when I installed:
    http://www.novamedia.de/en/mac-isync-plugins.html
    or wrote my own plugins...
For some reason, by default, my Nokia came with Sync settings disabled on the phone.
So to remedy this, go to:
    Settings > Connectivity > Sync >
And select all the things you want to sync before you run iSync.  I missed this in the manual, I spent about 8 hours trying to fix it and all to no avail until I found this simple ommission.
Also, if you need to uninstall the nokia isync plugin, just go to:
    /Library/PhonePlugins
    and delete the relevant files.
    Hope this is useful.

  • Low quality graphics from screenshots

I did some full screen screen shots to use in Keynote (using apple + shift 3). These are pict files which look perfectly fine when I open them in preview. I then dragged and dropped them into Keynote, and both in preview mode and when I play the show, the graphics appear fuzzy and low quality - as if they are JPEGs converted to the lowest quality setting.
Any fix for this? Other than that KN works great and its easy to use. But these graphics are really bad.
    [ Imac G5/ 20 in / 2 g ram : monitor at 1680x1050]

Why are they saved as picts? I save mine as PNG and they look fine in Keynote. You could also use TIFF or PDF and those should look pretty good too. I think the problem is that other images scale much better than pict does.
If you want to try changing the format, instructions are here.

Two tips, if you JUST need to capture a window (so that you can show JUST the area in the window of the tool you're working on) use appleshift4 to turn the cursor into a cross hair then mark off the area you want captured. Also, appleshift4 and THEN pressing space will turn the cursor into a camera so that you can capture the full window without worrying about missing any edges.

  • Just upgraded, low quality warning on all photos?

    Hi All,
Hoping someone can assist me here. Just upgraded to iPhoto 6 and was experimenting with the greeting card function. Apparently, all of my photos (unretouched & uncropped) which are 1704 x 2272 at 180 dpi are too low quality to print reliably. I'm trying to print the images at 5x7 or smaller, and as far as I understand 1704 x 2272 should be adequate, but I get the low quality warning on every picture in my library. I use a Canon Digital Elph S400 at maximum resolution/quality, am I going to need a higher megapixel camera to produce images of sufficient quality for the online printing services? Any advice appreciated.
    Thanks in advance,
    Jennifer

    Jennifer:
Welcome to the Apple Discussions. Sound like somethings broken in iPhoto. First run Disk Utility and repair disk permissions. Then, if needed, go to your User/Library/Caches folder and delete the iPhoto folder there.
Next, log into another account on your Mac and see if you can create a card and not get the warnings. If so then your primary account has some incompatibility with iPhoto. If you get the warning then it's probably iPhoto and you'll need to reinstall iPhoto. If you do have to reinstall iPhoto you'll have to delete the current application and all files with "iPhoto" in the file name that reside in the HD/Library/Receipts folder. Be sure to repair disk permissions after the installation and updates.
    Do you Twango?
TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.

  • 17 Inch G4 iMac displaying low quality grainy graphics on web pages

I'm having a very sudden problem with my iMac. Images on web pages are displaying very grainy and low quality. This is not an issue with images on my iPhoto or new images I upload from my digital camera. I have tried loading web pages on Safari, Firefox, and Google Chrome and any web page I pull up is displaying fuzzy, grainy, low quality images. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

I'm sorry no one has jumped on this in two days. I think you have us stumped. I've tried changing some video settings on several of our G4 Macs but that either affects all image apps or doesn't simulate the problem.
Can you post an image? If you host the image or upload it to a image storing/sharing site, you can insert it in a post by using the instructions in this user-contributed yip:
    http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=121950&tstart=0
Help me here--You say this problem persists in *Google Chrome*. My understanding is that Chrome has always required an Intel processor and OS 10.5 or later. 10.4.11 and a G4 iMac don't cut it. Is this a typo or is this problem associated with a Mac other than the G4 in your equipment line?

  • Is there a setting on 4S for high/low quality video?

I have a 4S and so does everyone I work with. If I send video to them, through iMessage, the video is clear and good quality. If they send video to me, or each other, (also through iMessage) it is low quality and poor looking. We have the same carrier, exact same phones, and they are even on the same account. We can't figure it out. The video will look clear on their camera roll, but will not be clear to the person who receives it on iMessage. It only looks clear when we send it from my specific phone. Is there some setting we don't know about?

I wish they would download in Apple Lossless, but I imagine most people really aren't that concerned about the sound quality by just want to get more songs on their iPod. Apple doesn't talk about what is going on internally or anything else so no one would know if this is being considered.
You can let Apple know you would like this available by going here: http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunes.html

  • [SOLVED] Images being rendered in abnormally low quality

    Hi guys,
I'm not entirely sure what the issue is since I don't usually play around with image {libraries, software, etc} on Arch, but I have noticed recently that images on Arch, regardless of WM/DE, have been rendered (drawn?) in very low quality.
    http://i.imgur.com/Qemaa.jpg
(Changed from image to URL, resized image didn't show what I wanted it to.)
For example, in this screenshot, you can see artifacts around the fonts and icons that normally shouldn't be seen. I took the same image with both scrot and xfce4-screenshooter, and both images look exactly the same. I'm not sure if there's something really obvious I'm missing or what, but I'd appreciate some sort of guidance.
