Nokia 700 GPS turns itself off (while using Endomo...

I have a Nokia 700 and I'm using Endomondo app which requires GPS.
Why does the GPS turn itself off? I have experienced it couple of times. After GPS turned off I checked battery status and it was 40%, also time after GPS turns off differs almost every time.
I have used Endomondo on Nokia 5800 and it worked well.
How can I fix this?
Please help!!

@ceres
Don't use this application myself but not noticed such issue upon 700, have you tried installing http://store.ovi.com/content/165671 and run this in the background and see if it still happens.

Help my nokia 5300 keeps turning itself off. It won't let me read my messages. Everytime I press the key to read my messages it just goes off. I only had it about 6 months!!!

    Hi,
The phone software of your N5300 got corrupted or messed up. It's either you can update it (by yourself) or send it to the Nokia Care Centre for a reflash.
Try updating your phone's firmware by clicking to this link below:

Make sure you meet the system requirements before proceeding and backup some of your important contents.
    Good luck

  • Turn tv off while using Appletv

I have Appletv connected via my reciever.  So no need to have my tv on the entire time i want to listen to music via Appletv.  So why does appletv disconnect or turn off when i turn off my tv?  Has nothing to do with it?  I don't want to use up my plasma just to view the screen saver for hours on end.

Almost seems like when I turn off my Plasma, the hdmi cable sends a signal to AppleTv to turn itself off.  While music is going through Receiver.

  • My MacBook Pro just turned itself off while installing Windows 7. It has now got a black screen with a white flashing bar in the top left corner...what can I do?

I was just installing windows 7 onto my MacBook Pro. I selected to have 200GB for Windows and the rest leave for Mac.
I clicked install and the bar filled up as it should do. However, once the install had completed, my MacBook turned itself off. I assumed this was normal. Now, my MacBook has a black screen with a white flashing underscore in the top left corner.
What is wrong and what should I do?

Hold down the Option key when starting up then on the sceen that comes up select Mac OS X to boot from.
The Win 7 install didn't go well and is hung in some way. You should use boot camp assistant to remove the win partition and start over.
Make sure you are using a Retail version of Win 7. A Branded OEM version, like ones from Dell and HP, will NOT work to install Windows 7 on your Mac.

  • N73 turns itself off when using real tone

When i have an incomming call, and have a real tone selected, my phone rings for 3 rings then dumps and turns itself off. It works again when i turn it on but if i call it again it does the same thing. I have tried using a real tone from the phone and from the memory card and it does the same thing. This does not happen with a polyphonic tone. Any suggestions?
    thanks

thank you for your advice. I have discovered that most tones work, but the odd one is still dumping the phone. I will just use the working ones now.
    thanks again for your advice.

  • Satellite 2430-S255 turns itself off while playing video clips

My Toshiba Notebook Satellite 2430-s255 turns itself off within 5 minutes whenever I play streaming video clips from web sites using Windows Media Player version 10.0. I uninstall version 10 and used version 9, but there was no difference. Computer has 512 meg memory and 10 gig of extra space on harddisk.
There is no problem when I play DVD using the same software.
Toshiba support has been telling me that cpu is working hard and it heats up to cause this problem. I used fan to circulate the air, but computer still turns itself off.
    Can some one help.
    Jyotsna

    HI Jyotsna,
Any graphics activity will tend to make your notebook run hotter and will therefore need adequate cooling.
Check that your airways through the CPU heatsink are not clogged with dust and debris (lots of threads in this forum about it), and also make sure that there is sufficient air gap under your notebook to allow air to get in to the fan vents.

  • Why isn't my mac smart enough not to turn itself off while downloading from the app store?

    it's plugged in and everything.

Is it turning itself off or going to sleep? If it is turning itself off, you may have a shutdown time in System Preferences/Energy Saver that is over riding and shutting it down.
In my personal experience, there are some activities that don't seem to register enough to keep the computer from sleeping/shutting down, so I set sleep to never until I'm done.

  • My Nokia C3-01 turned itself off and will not turn...

I use my phone for an alarm in the morning, that was the last time I knew it was on. I put the phone in my bag when leaving for work, got it out once on the train to find no power at all. I have taken the battery out for a while which didn't seem to help, I have tried plugging the charger back in and also liking to my laptop, nothing seems to work.
Rather than driving the 70 miles to the nearest Nokia Care centre, is there anything else I can do?

Hope you left it on charge for about 20-25 minutes before checking if it turns ON ..
Else, sorry but you have to travel the distance..as being an S40 device there is not much a user can do than what is already done ...

I have changed the Power Safe mode (computer NEVER goes to sleep or Hibernate) still having the same problem.

  • Computer does turn on reliably, and turns itself off

I have a Mac G5 Recently the computer started turning itself off while I use it. Then sometimes it does not turn on at all, and if it does turn on there is always a prolonged beep before it boots up.
I replaced the power supply back in August; I am not sure if it is related, but the the computer worked fine for 6 months with the new power supply.

Hi there, sounds like the Logic board around the RAM slots...
1 beep = no RAM installed
2 beeps = incompatible RAM types
3 beeps = no good banks
4 beeps = no good boot images in the boot ROM (and/or bad sys config block)
5 beeps = processor is not usable
In addition to the beeps, on some computers the power LED will flash a corresponding number of times plus one. The LED will repeat the sequence after approximately a 5-second pause. The tones are only played once.
Note: In this case, a flash is considered to be 1/4 second or 250 ms or greater in length.
Get Temperature Monitor - 4.51 to see if it's heat related...

  • IPod turns itself off in dock

I have a new iPod classic 160gb. From time to time, the iPod turns itself off while playing, but only while in a speaker dock. This has happened in two different docks, including the Bose SoundDock and the Griffin Journi. Somewhere midway through a song, the music stops, the backlight comes on, it goes into charging mode. If I hit play, it continues as if nothing has happened.
I don't have a problem listening through headphones, anyone else see this?

    Add me to this list.
Along with the frustrating, well known and widely shared iTunes freezing issues, my (second, first one returned)silver 160GB classic also experiences this 'shutoff' in my iHome dock. I haven't had this issue with my DLO Homedock deluxe, but when in my iHome speaker dock playback starts fine but then just shuts off midway through a song when it feels like it, then like was said, goes to the charging battery screen. So, this new iPod has made iTunes, old video docks and now even my iHome dock worthless. I've really begun to question the intellegence of this 'upgrade'.

  • IBook turning itself off

    Hi,
I've recently upgraded my iBook G4 to OS 10.5.8. Since then it's started turning itself off during use (at least, the screen goes black - I can't actually tell if the computer is completely off). It's invariably connected to mains power when this happens. I then have to force a restart (which in itself sometimes takes a bit of persuading - the last time I had to take the battery out first before it would even respond to the on/off button) to get it to work again.
If anyone has any advice, I'd appreciate it.

Sounds like the logic board is dead. This was a big problem with the iBook G4. I had this exact same problem and it would die with about 40 minutes left.. just randomly. I had to get a new logic board, which was about $300.

  • IOS4, Fully Charged 3GS turned itself off, Missed an appointment

OMG, my fully charged iPhone 3GS just turned itself off and I missed out the morning alarm and an early morning appointment.
Its updated to iOS 4; Its never happened before. Morning when i turned it on, it just is working from where it left off previous night..Anyone else having these issues.
The Phone was fully charged and when turned on, it shows me 98% battery. The only thing to mention was, phone was sitting on its dock connected to a sleeping iMac.

    Hi All,
anyone else having this issue? I have read that iPhone 3GS is turning itself off during calls but mine, didn't happen during call. It just turned itself off while connected to dock and in sleep mode...
