Nokia 701 code 059L499 - Update availability?

Hi all,
I saw a thread about update availability for user provided product codes, but that thread's been closed... can't find a new one, so I'm posting here:
I have a Nokia 701 PC 059L499 Italy no brand. I'm stuck to SW ver 111.020.0307 but Europe support page (Nokia Italy doesn't provide a support page for 701... Why???) states current release should be 111.030.0609.
Anyone could explain why, or provide news (release date, etc)?

Hi,
no answer but I managed to take my phone to a Nokia Care Point. They flashed the new Belle FP1 firmware without problems by changing the product code!

Hello,
I have an X2-02 with firmware version 10.90.
I searched the web for any update available to, perhaps get ride of bugs, and I did found one here: http://www.btusers.com.ar/nan/nokia/releases.php?id=2218645&rid=6975978703&pid=3682065312&firm=10.91
It's the version 10.91
But when I tried to install it using Nokia Suite (v. 3.3.89), I got the message: no update available for your device!!!
How this is possible!!?? There's one on the net! And some people did the update (perhaps by using commercial Boxes... don't know)
So I'm here to ask Nokia to fix this issue so we can update our devices.

I managed my self to update it to 10.91 with no probs, but I can't find any valid software v11.57
And now, Nokia Suite says that the software is v10.91 and that I can reinstall it if I encountred any problem with the device, I did it just to see if now I can download it, and YES I CAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nokia 808 AND 701 get minor updates

According to the log, the update is called Telephony update and brings "quality improvements". There are no new features to come with it, but the fact that Nokia pushed it probably means you better get it. It will most probably fix those network-switching glitches that some people were experiencing.

Nokia 701 Symbian Belle Widget problem

when i see previews of themes on nokia store, there are some widgets that i don't have on my Nokia 701 (latest software update)...for example the (3G On/Off) widget and some others too, is there any place where i can get these widgets ?

These widgets are in the latest symbian Belle firmware that comes to S^3 devices like N8, C7 ... in february.
I think newer devices like your 701 will also get a software update of Belle.

Microsoft Apps update not available for Nokia 701

From nokia conversations website, I could see that MIcrosoft Apps is available for Nokia 701 (http://conversations.nokia.com/2012/04/10/get-microsoft-office-for-symbian/) post Belle FP1 update. But I am not able to get that update. I am from India. My product code is 059J7M4 (This is a new code that I got after taking my mobile to Nokia care for software update).

If the Nokia care point staff has changed your product code in repair, they should have changed it back to the original before handing it back to you. In this case please visit the Care point and ask them to change the product code back to the original. If they have replaced enough parts, or the whole device, so that the product code has been changed as well, then it's just not available for your device yet.

N80 Code 0528792 - "No available updates"

My N80 was changed four time from my Nokia Service Point because of keypad problems.
Today my Nokia Service Point told me that Nokia now send a complet new phone not only a repaired one.
At home I've checked the firmware version:

It's a little bit strange to get a new phone (not a repaired/used one) with an old firmware...?!? So I've tried to update the firmware using the Nokia Update Software.
Message: "No software updates available for your phone"
Where is the problem to update an original nokia n80? My first N80 was without a provider branding, my second and third N80 had the correct v4... firmware version. Now one step back - a new N80 with old v3 firmware...
Perhaps someone has an idea...

I tried to install some S60 software. But most of it does not work.

The software version is dependent on the product code, so if you are told that you have the no update is available then you have the latest SW version for your product code.
Apart from the fact that product codes are usually unique to a country (and in some cases to a network operator), you shouldn't have any issues regarding your region.

There's a new SW update available for Nokia C2-02 and Nokiw C2-03: version 7.63. These device models are also sold as C2-06/C2-07/C2-08 on certain regions. Thank you for posting and welcome to Nokia Support Discussions!
Try to reinstall the software of your Nokia C2-02. Using Nokia Suite click on Tools > Software update > Reinstall.
If in case you can't reinstall the software, try doing a master reset. Go to Menu > Settings > Restore factory settings > Restore All.
Note: Create a backup first before doing any kind of reset to avoid deletion of data. If prompted for a lock code, enter 12345 unless you changed it.

Cannot find Nokia 701 Product code

I recently bought a used nokia 701 . .somehow the phone had software problem and while updating the process was interrupted after which it fails to switch on ..
On removing the battery i found the sticker stating the IMEI Product code etc is scratchy and unreadable . .Now its very difficult to update the software without the Product code . .How do i find it without the sticker and the device refuses to start . .

E70: "no updates available" - code 0537093, FW 1.0...

The unit was aquired from Finnish operator Saunalahti on 20.10.2006. The operator claimed that it's *not* SIM locked, however I haven't checked this as I don't have any "rogue" SIMs around.

Yes, the service centre was able to update it!
I took the phone to the Nokia shop in Aleksanterinkatu, it took about 2 hours because there was some queue at the service. Apparently it would have taken (much) longer if I'd wanted them to restore contacts, settings etc. (NB. I read somewhere on this forum that restoring from a memory card backup could cause reduced performance, so I skipped that route too...)
Current firmware is 2.0618.07.10 (31-08-06). Visible changes so far:
- Switching between vertical and horizontal display is _a lot_ faster
- Backlight on the qwerty keyboard also lights up the instant you open it
- Maximum volume in the mp3 player may be a bit lower, but still enough IMO
- Overall, the thing could be a bit quicker, but it's hard to judge
Some missing changes...
- Booting still takes a couple of minutes
- All network programs still ask which connection to use separately, even if some other prog is already connected. I can't really see why, esp. if a (usually fast and free) WLAN connection is being used.
- Email still defaults to port 143 with "Security = SSL/TLS" (should be 993, 143 is used w/ StartTLS and unencrypted)
- Email shows new messages from all subfolders, not just inbox, even if only the inbox is subscribed to. This happens at least when the imap server is running Courier-IMAP (where all folders are subfolders of the inbox). Quite annoying.
- If the mp3 player is launched by the web browser, you can't continue surfing or save the mp3 w/o interrupting the tune...
- The mp3 player still gets killed without warning when loading a largish web page (like http://news.bbc.co.uk w/ full graphics)
- Voice recorder is still limited to 60s / clip, so it's pretty much useless if you want to record phone calls
Hmh, I probably should whine somewhere @ nokia about those bugs...

Nokia 301 no update available

Hi, i recently purchased nokia 301 and I do experience rather poor battery performace (which was one of the things for which i bought it). Therefore i decided to update software of the phone. Version of SW in my phone is 2.51 from June of previous year. Nokia page of my home country (Czech Republic) states, that the lates version available is 8.02 (http://www.nokia.com/cz-cs/podpora/produkty/asha301/softwareupdate/). However when i follow instructions how to update SW through OTA, my phone states, that there are no updates available.
Any suggestions?
I cannot use Nokia Suite, since it is one of those new phones no longer supported.
I bouught it in store, therefore problem should not be caused by provider...

@ThatRottenGuy please, give us the 7-letter code written on the label of your phone (product code). That determines the firmware variant which determines the version you get. If you cannot wait, you can check the latest version with the help of the Nokia Software Recovery Tool. I recommend that tool over a Nokia Care Centre because they are using the same tool and earsing your data. Therefore, you should back-up your data via Nokia 301 » menu » Settings » Sync and backup » Create backup. You need a microSD for this. Alternatively, you can use the Nokia Suite …

Nokia 701 update

I own a Nokia 701 and am still waiting for the 111.30.609 firmware update. My phone variant is 059L683. It's been weeks this update has been available to everyone but it never shows up for my model phone. My phone is running 111.10.1009 firmware right now.

Nokia has not developed their own software. it's really just adding some to old software. still they can't make i support to unicode font. all third party applications not supporting well. just like opera mini. i waste my money buying Nokia 701 . really i'm tired and fed up. android is better than nokia.it's supporting all unicode characters.
