Nokia 7100 supernova with broken screen

I have a nokia 7100 supernova with a smashed screen. I would like to be able to turn the bluetooth on so that I can get my contacts and photos off the phone.
Can anyone give me an idiots guide on how to do this.
The phone is set with the normal menu system

I take it you haven't used the phone much yet or the internet to be specific , you would have noticed when you're connected to the internet the E is encircled by a box and when you recieve a call it has a line through it.
All this means is that your phone is registered to EGPRS on your network but a connection hasn't been made, if you travell you would probably notice the E change to a G depending on the coverage of the particular earea you're in.
and you didn't really go through the manual
Yours is a S40 phone so if you decide you want to remove this.
I don't have my 5200 with me so I'm guiding you from my memory which isn't really the best but here goes
Menu > settings > connectivity > Packet Data > Packet Data connection
and set this from always online to when needed

Nokia 5800 WAP problem

Hi all! My problem is this.. ever since I updated to the latest firmware my WAP settings doesn't work. I've contacted my service provider and they did send me new settings.. but nothing works.. it doesn't open any web or wap page.. but wi-fi work just fine.. I know that you're probably going to say that who needs wap when you have wi-fi.. but the real problem is that i can't use my gps.. because garmin (and for that matter any program) uses only the 3G connection.. and my 3G works.. I've made a test video call and everything is just perfect.. I would really appreciate any ideas on that situation cheers!!

I'd suggest checking the time and date, updating and checking the connections with other devices if possible. Reset it with *#7780# also if necessary

Sounds like you are not able to connect to a Wi-Fi network with your iPad. This article has a section for Unable to connect to a Wi-Fi network and the second article is the recommended network settings. If after these it still has the same issue you may want to restore the device to factory settings.

A wast of money indeed.Ik just bought this phone for my daughter and when we wanted to start using the phone we came to the conclusion that we can use a micro sd card in the phone.
No realy funny because the internet shop we looked at said we could use a microsd card.
This Nokia 7000 is so not of this time.
A phone with mp3 and photo with only 4 mb memory?? ( enough for 1 song if not to big )
Shame on you Nokia this really is absurd, what were you thinking.

Unfortunately not, this is a very simple phone with limited scope, and does not take memory cards like other 7xxx models.

Nokia 7100 Voice activation

I have just bought the Nokia 7100 Supernova - I wanted to stay with Nokia because of the voice activation and having a hands free kit in the car. Firstly I can't figure out how to set up voice activation & secondly, although I have twinned the phone with my active device in the car & they look connected, when I try & make or receive a call nothing happens - usually the radio cuts out & the voice comes through the speakers & this isn't happening - help!!!!!

A short tone sounds, and Speak now is displayed.
2. Speak the name of the contact you want to dial. If the voice recognition is successful,
a list with matches is shown. The phone plays the voice command of the first match

I just want to clarify something...Can I download music to my Nokia 7100? I'm reading several posts that say I can't...they say I can only download mp3 ringtones. I'm confused because this phone was advertised as having a music player!

you only have 4 mb memory on this phone which would just take one song so the answer would be yes it plays music,but no room to download more than one song ,it will hold a good few mp3 tones,you should go for the nokia 5130 if this is your budget range

Nokia 7100 and old SMS messages on SIM card

I just bought my wife the Nokia 7100 and she very happy with it. One strange thing with this phone is that it does not recognize the old SMS messages that are still on the SIM card. Is there a way to make them visible and copy them to the phone?

i do not believe so, current sim card do not store any text messages unless they are service messages, i suggest that you update your sim card as it appears to be well into age in technology years. you can try to acess sim card messages in the messaging folder and select the option to copy messages into phone memory or memory card if such option exists but again im not sure that there is such opiton. if you do have the sim message option, select left side option key scroll down to copy and you just might be able to copy it to the inbox. let us know what happens.

Nokia N8 Image Settings

Hi All
Can anyone help me understand why there are multiple camera options provided under Image Settings in Nokia N8? When you go to Image Settings, you will see an option "Capture Tone" with "Camera 1" as default. There are 4 options available here to choose from. So if anyone has any details about it, can you please help me understand?

This is nothing to do with your photos, it just refers to the sound that is played when you take a photo.

Nokia N8 camera settings is not saved

Hey.
I found out that all the camera settings is not saved. For exampel i always want the grid displayed but then i have to turn it on manuelly every time. Same goes for the timer, id like it to be on 2sec so the picture not is taken as you push the button (shaky etc).
Probably more camera settings that not saved havent checked it all.

OK first of all look at this, 333 people viewed your original post and followed by 171, 144 and the last one that you responded 55 people viewed and yet your the only one with this problem lol
Here is the thing, I'm sure nokia had a damn good reason for not letting the grid option be set as default, and if you can't press two buttons to get to it, well that's your own fault for being lazy lol all these people viewed your post and not even one decided to say something, that's probably because no one really have a problem with what your complaining about and I don't count that new user since all her said was "No reply from Nokia on this???" hehe
anyways if nokia makes any changes in their camera setting and give us more options, well GREAT, but right now most people are happy with their N8 camera and its setting. Their are much more important issues regarding Nokia N8 and you picked the least important one lol way to go.
Don't forget that you can't compare the N8 with a digital camera, just because you can do things differently on a digital camera doesn't mean you suppose to do it on a camera phone. In my opinion the N8's setting is damn good, could get better and if nokia does something about it Great but I can do what I wanna do with the setting. So please try not to bring up any little problem you thing it has or you thing needs to be changed because I really don't think what you calling a problem is a problem
