Nokia 7373 - Adding active standby content not in ...

Hi,
I just bought a Nokia 7373 which I find to be quite cool ! One of the features I like is the ability to display the calendar in the active standby mode. However it only displays calendar appointments, but not todo list entries or any other customizable option.
Is there any way that I can show also the todo list in the active standby mode ?

There is no way to show also the todo list in the active standby mode.
You could add To-do to the shortcuts (top line in active standby) to get faster access to to-do items.

Nokia Ovi Suite v1.1 - Content not showing in Gall...

Hi all,
Hope you can all help...! I'm really struggling here.
Using Nokia Ovi Suite v1.1,connection to N97 works fine and all - but when I drag and drop content to the 'Gallery' view, it displays that files already exist - and nothing shows!
Should any of you require further clarification, I will attach screen dumps accordingly... Would really appreciate if anyone who have encountered similar problems to also post, as well as their solutions?!?
...It would be a real shame to have a N97 and no content on it, I'm sure you feel for me?!?

Active standby for nokia 6300

I had my phone repaired by a friend of my brother's because I've encountered some problems with my headset when listening to music. It works now, but today I've noticed that the 'active standby' does not appear anymore in the 'display' menu. I've downloaded from the Nokia website a software update and installed it, but it did not solve the problem. Also, the PTT icon appeared in the menu, I haven't had that before. Any advice?s on what should I do?

After two more factory reset operations, the 'active standby' option magically appeared. However, the PTT icon dissapered ( I didn't use it anyway). So...that means problem solved
I'll 'kudoss you' for makin' me use, again, the factory reset option.

Active Standby Question

I have a Nokia E60, which operates using Symbiuan 9.1, series 60 3rd edition. This software lets you put 6 shortcuts on the main screen (active standby). There is an interface to change which shortcuts are used. I want to make a shortcut to the "Installations Directory" so that I will have a fast way to access my installed programs but this directory does not appear on the list of possible shortcuts. Does anyone know if this is possible? If so, how? Thanks,

No can do. Only individual apps seem to work as Active Standby shortcuts, not menu folders.

HomeScreen or Active Standby for nokia S40V5 phone...

Hi there. Does someone of you know active standby? this can be found on s40v3 phones like nokia 6300 right. Do you also know HomeScreen? This can be found on s40v6 phones like nokia C3-00 right??? if s40v3 and s40v6 phones has Active Standby or Homescreen, why nokia s40v5 phones like 5130 xpressmusic and 2730 classic doesn't have homescreen? why the center one doesn't have it? i know that 3120c and 5310XM has a active standby even they are s40v5 phones . You should make a s40v5 firmware update that can add the active standby feature to the phone. The only thing we can do to have this feature is to mod the firmware right? so what do you think? are you agree to add this feature to your s40v5 devices? reply below

But if you wanted active standby, you should have just bought a phone that featured it. Not buy one of the very few phones without and then complain.

it has no active standby its an entry level phone maybe a firmware update later on may introduce one

My database version is:

My current configuration is:
We have two node RAC primary database and a local standby database.
And TWO NODE RAC DR (REMOTE)STANDBY DATABASE
while checking (REMOTE WHICH IS TWO NODE RAC)dr synchronization we found archive since yesterday has not been applied.
But local dr is fully sinc with the primary database.
When i have executed 'ALTER DATABASE RECOVER MANAGED STANDBY DATABASE CANCEL' it says
SQL> alter database recover managed standby database cancel;
alter database recover managed standby database cancel
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-16136: Managed Standby Recovery not active
I manually copied the archive log which where missing in the remote standby database and then register those archive log.
after that when i manually tried to recover the standby database it has given me following error.
sql>recover automatic standby database;
ORA-00283: recovery session canceled due to errors
ORA-01124: cannot recover data file 1 - file is in use or recovery
ORA-01110:data file 1: '/database/ctmis/system01.dbf'
please please help me to resolve the issue.

Node1,Node2 is having node1-standby node2-standby in RAC environment right?
on which node logs ur trying to apply on which node standby? (node1 ==>node1-standby or node2 ==>node2-standby)
check it...hope it will work or not sure :)

I am trying implement the dataguard in the windows platform. And this is my first time. Right now iam trying on physical standby. i have done everything as per the document. But iam getting some error. After giving the
SQL> ALTER DATABASE RECOVER MANAGED STANDBY DATABASE DISCONNECT FROM SESSION;
SQL> ALTER SYSTEM SWITCH LOGFILE;
SQL> recover managed standby database cancel;

When just like that i tried to open the standby database in read only mode, i am getting error

Memory card in Nokia 7373 not showing

I have had a memory card in my nokia 7373 for some time and all has been fine. However, recently my daughter had the phone and someone pinched the sim card and it was dropped on the floor. Now no memory cards will work in the phone. I have put it in the pc and all the ringtones etc are still there, i have even bought a brand new memory card but it just will not show up at all.
Can anyone help at all????

Adding CONNECTION to Active Standby icons

Using N73, how do I add Connection to the icons on Active Standby apps. Connection is in Settings represented by a globe sign.

I do think that you can add anything below 'Settings' as a Standby icon. If you chose 'Settings' though you only have one more level to reach 'Connections'
To change your Active Standby icons, go to Menu/Tools/Settings/General/Personalisation/Standby Mode/Active Standby apps. Then select the Shortcut you want to edit and pick from the list, before selecting OK.

Nokia 5310 active standby: number of appointments ...

This is my first discussion here. I have one Nokia 5310 and I'd like to see all the list of appointments in the active standby, but I can see only two. Is it possible to show all my appointments for one date? If yes, how can I do it?

NSU says that there isn't an update (currently 4.52) for my phone.

Tutor: Adding a Prior Activity that does not link to a document

When the docs are published, the Prior Activities come across as broken links if a document filename is not included in the formatting.
Is there a way around this so that if someone clicks on a prior activity which is not linked to a document, it doesn't do anything - rather than appearing as a broken link?

N95 Cell Broadcast & Active Standby not compatible

Hi - I have a N95 with V31 software and it STILL has the same problem.
2G Cell Broadcast information isnt displayed (only displayed for 1 second) when the Active Standby is on
Anyone know when this will be fixed?
Also does it do it in the N97 too?

The ability to view texts/emails on the stanby screen is a feature only offered to the business E-Series phones.
I too would like this on my N95, but alas we cannot!
