Nokia 7373 Help

I have just brought a 7373 and I am really struggling to use it in terms of an MP3 player. How are you to get the data onto your phone? My previous phone connected with a USB cable however I am finding that with the 7373 there is very little on the net to suggest how to get files onto my phone.
Any assistance would be appreciated.

If you use a usb bluetooth adaptor on your computer you can set up a connection then transfer your music files.

if you have baught this phone from orange, then it's most propably locked to that network only, so no other sim card from any other company can be used.
a verification code is usually an unlocking code provided to you by your old provider " orange" to allow the use of other sim cards, and which they will not give to you

Help for nokia 7373

I know this may sound like a strange request, but if there is anyone here with a Nokia 7373 phone, i was hoping you might be able to help me.
I have one of these, but i have managed to crush my display so i can't see anything on it.
So if there is someone here with this phone, then maybe you would be so kind and write down a step by step guide how to turn bluetooth on because i would like to transfer all my photos and music to my pc.
That means....
Press menu
go 1 left and 1 down press ok
go 3 down press ok
etc...

go to menu >setting >call setting >divert >cancel all divert..and activate again and insert other number or just using your mailbox..sometimes it depends on carrier actually..so contact your customer service..

Nokia 7373 turning off help

I'm having a bit of trouble with my Nokia 7373, it won't seem to switch off. When pressing the switch off button it makes the vibrating sound and has the screen to whether i want the phone turned off or not.
I'm trying to get my battery to go dead but am worried that it may not turn back on again.
Hopefully you get what i'm trying to say.

Have you tried backing up your data and reformatting your micro SD memory card?
Is there a software update available on NSU, which would give you a fresh start?

Hi, I bought my Nokia 7373 September 2008.
It was second hand but hardly used and worked brilliantly until around about December.
Whenever I record something on the phone, after a minute or so the entire screen turns white/blank and then the phone reloads. If I check my gallery to see if the video recorded it comes up with 'file format not supported'.
Also, whenever the phone does this recently all my messages get deleted! O__O
I heard there was a way to restore all text messages but I don't really want to do that.
The phone supplies a folder called 'Saved Messages' and in there I'd had a lot of messages I loved and wanted to keep lmao, and now ALL my messages have gone!
The phone has only started doing this the past few days, nothing like my photos etc have gone missing.
Just my texts constantly all get deleted when I turn my phone off and I don't know why.
The message validity is set to maximum so I'm not sure what's going on.
Please help.

Sometimes using both the fone and sim memory at the same time causes this. Copy all contacts to the handset, choose handset memory and see if this resolves the issue.

Not sure about changes to the phone but you could try editing your audio files instead. I use a MP3 editor called Wavepad which is free to download. With this you can easily increase volume (from the menu Effects/Amplify). You can also use it to chop tracks to ringtone size, rip CDs to mp3 etc etc

Sat nav software on nokia 7373

hi does any1 know if there are any sat nav software that will work on nokia 7373.
There are the normal ones for nokia n95 and so on but would any1 of them work on 7373.

You could try nav4all.com - whilst software is free until 2008, there is cost of GPRS data download to factor in!

Nokia 7373 Incoming calls

I got the Pink Nokia 7373 a few days ago but I'm having trouble with incoming calls.
All incoming calls, regardless of their location or network are coming up on my screen as "CALL"
There is no identification of who is actually calling me.
I've looked in all settings on the phone and don't have a clue why it is causing this problem.
Please help as it is driving me around the bend!!

does anyone know where i can find a replacement back cover (battery cover) for the nokia 7373 as mine broke and cant figure out where i need to look etc.

Take it to a Nokia Shop and ask them to have a look at it. Perhaps they can replace it for you.

Memory card in Nokia 7373 not showing

I have had a memory card in my nokia 7373 for some time and all has been fine. However, recently my daughter had the phone and someone pinched the sim card and it was dropped on the floor. Now no memory cards will work in the phone. I have put it in the pc and all the ringtones etc are still there, i have even bought a brand new memory card but it just will not show up at all.
Can anyone help at all????

If no cards will work then the phone must have been damaged when it was dropped.

Nokia 7373 - replacement cases

Okay, so the plastic screen cover on my Nokia 7373 was cracked. I went into my local Nokia Care Center who said they could replace it for me, but they didn't have the right cover (I've got the swirly black one). I found one online at Amazon (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Nokia-NOKIA-7373-LENS/dp/B000W7ZTSO/ref=sr_1_14?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=12...)
I thought this was the sort of thing I was after as it's sold as New, described as from Nokia, so it's the official thing. So having bought it, I went back into the Nokia Care Center only to be told that they couldn't fit it and I'd have to order one (now they tell me they can order them in!) and pay triple what I paid on Amazon. Is this true? Have I bought something that is absolutely useless to me? I'm thoroughly confused as to why this would be sold to the public if it wasn't useable. Help?

No USB Cable For My Nokia 7373

I just brought a new Nokia 7373 but there was no USB cable to connect to the computer.
I was wondering if anyone knew how to get one, or of another way i can download pictures to my phone.

Vibrate on nokia 7373?

Just brought a pink nokia 7373 today and I want it to vibrate when my phone rings but I have pressed that I want my phone to vibrate but it doesn't do it.

If you have telled it to vibrate on the current profile you are on IE. General, and still doesn't vibrate then the Vibration Motor is not working.
If that is the case, You could take it to your local Nokia Service Centre to be checked up by it's 2 year warranty.

Nokia 7373 - local mode.. why?

hey guys...
i have one problem with my nokia 7373.. it's the second time around in two weeks: when the battery goes empty, i put my nokia in battery charger and when i try to turn it on all i got was this message: local mode and i couldn't turn it on. i pulled out the battery and the card couple of times, nothing. only the third time after pulling the battery and the card, i managed to turn on my mobile.
any ideas what's wrong and why this local mode appears?

When you say "put in battery charger" do you mean a desktop charger, rather than plugging one in? There may be damage to the middle pin of connector.
Local mode is needed by technician when accessing phone EEprom, but you should not see it normally.

Nokia 7373 faceplate

I have the pink Nokia 7373, but have the kit for the black back front etc.. But need help on how to remove the faceplate.

Although this phone wasnt made to have interchangable covers like a lot of phones these days, companies still make face plates for them. You would need a special screwdriver to take off the cover, and its not something I'd recommend as this could void your warranty and then if you have trouble with your phone you would have to pay to fix it!!!
