Nokia 7373 Incoming calls

I got the Pink Nokia 7373 a few days ago but I'm having trouble with incoming calls.
All incoming calls, regardless of their location or network are coming up on my screen as "CALL"
There is no identification of who is actually calling me.
I've looked in all settings on the phone and don't have a clue why it is causing this problem.
Please help as it is driving me around the bend!!
Faye

Faye,
Caller identification is an operator issue. Please contact to you mobile operator to check it.

  • See caller's name in an incoming call - Nokia 1600

    Hi there,
I have just bought a Nokia 1600. I have noticed that the incoming calls show only the number of the caller. I have the caller number and name in the phonebook. Is there anything I must configure in order to see the caller's name? I sure hope that this is a misconfiguration, otherwise i'll have to return the phone...I don't think I'll be memorizing people's numbers...
    best regards,
    Louie

I had the same problem and worked out that it was because I had the same number stored more than once in the phone memory under different names. If you have this then the phone displays the number as it doesn't know which name to use. This occurs even if one entry is on the SIM card and the other in the phone memory. I think this is a quirk of Nokia phones generally and not limited to the 1600 as I know other people who have had the same problem.
To get round it you have to delete any duplicates from the phone or sim card contact lists.
    Hope this helps,
    Rob.

  • Alarm on Nokia 7373

    Hi,
Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I've had my nokia pink 7373 for a few years now and recently I've noticed the alarm volume is no longer as high as it used to be. I've looked through the forum and read other suggestions like setting your profile incoming call volume to high (like I always do anyway) and changing my alarm tone (tried aac and mp3) but nothing seems to make a difference. I don't understand why this has happened, I had stopped using my alarm on my phone for about 2 weeks and then used it for the first time and the alarm was quite low, it used to be as loud of the incoming call volume was. I can't read anywhere in my manual or online about an option where you can actually lower/higher the volume. Just wondering if this is possibly a fault with the phone maybe or if anyone else has had this problem and suggestions? Any help is appreciated.
    Many thanks

    Hi,
Every tone will ring soft to loud meaning the volume will climb up every second. This is to avoid daze when using it in public places.

  • C2-01 doesn't recognise numbers incoming calls (wi...

    Hello,
    Context of the problem:
In our company we get a basic phone with split bill system. This works exactly as a normal phone but the provider puts each outgoing call in 2 groups; normal is at your own expense, or at the expense of the company when you put a "2" in front of the normal number.
For example when I dial "0475666777" I pay for it, when I dial "20475666777" the company pays for it.
Lets say "20475666777" is a colleaguecalled "BOB"
    Problem:
For example when "BOB" calls me the phone doesn’t recognize the incoming call. The display says incoming call from "+32475666777" in stead of incoming call from "BOB".
All the other nokia phones we used did this just fine....
Also when I save the same number without the "2" the phone say's the number is already in use for "BOB"
Maybe we can change a setting???
Several colleagues got this type of phone as a replacement and they all have the same problem since.
My apologies for the rather long text, hope it is (kind of) clear?
    Thank you in advance!
    Gert

You will have to store them AS SEPERATE numbers IE BOB 1 0475666777
    And BOB 2 20475666777

  • Full screen incoming caller display 2730 classic

Is there a way of making the phone display the incoming caller display larger, when your driving and using Bluetooth its almost imposable to read the number or name of caller
I know the font size can be changed for other applications but this one is a must as it could be quit dangerous to try and read who is calling when driving
A full screen would be better

Is there a basic nokia phone that just makes and receives calls, text, and with Bluetooth with extra large fonts so the phone can be read, mostly for incoming calls
My 10 year old 6310i was good but the bluetooth let it down

  • Can anyone help? Nokia 7373 too quite!

I have the Nokia 7373 and have put all my music on but the volume on full is not enough when out and about. Is there anyway to make it louder? New headphones etc. ThanxMessage Edited by angelx1974 on 26-Mar-200704:17 PM

Not sure about changes to the phone but you could try editing your audio files instead. I use a MP3 editor called Wavepad which is free to download. With this you can easily increase volume (from the menu Effects/Amplify). You can also use it to chop tracks to ringtone size, rip CDs to mp3 etc etc

That depends which phone he/she is using... this is in the phones section, not the smartphones, so I had assumed that software such as that would not be appropriate lol

  • Help for nokia 7373

I know this may sound like a strange request, but if there is anyone here with a Nokia 7373 phone, i was hoping you might be able to help me.
I have one of these, but i have managed to crush my display so i can't see anything on it.
So if there is someone here with this phone, then maybe you would be so kind and write down a step by step guide how to turn bluetooth on because i would like to transfer all my photos and music to my pc.
    That means....
    Press menu
go 1 left and 1 down press ok
    go 3 down press ok
    etc...
Thanks a lot for your help.

go to menu >setting >call setting >divert >cancel all divert..and activate again and insert other number or just using your mailbox..sometimes it depends on carrier actually..so contact your customer service..

  • C2-01: no reconnect incoming calls after 20sec

    Hi everybody,
The incoming calls on my Nokia C2-01 are being reconnect after 20 sec. What do i have to do to change that? I don't want incoming calls to be reconnected and i think 20sec is real fast to reconnect a call, certainly when the phone is not that nearby.
    Hope you can help.

  • Lumia 900 / 800 identifying a incoming call contac...

    Hi All
I have a problem with my new Lumia 900, basically my parents have a very similar number (0428****** & 0429******) with the * being the identical numbers. When a call comes in from 0429 it identifies it as the other contact (my dad in this case, I think this may be because his number is first in my contacts as Mum is further down the list alphabetically, havnt tested this yet). This is obviously very very annoying! Incoming text messages are identified correctly it is just the incoming call, now my brother has a Lumia 800 and his does exactly the same thing!
I have come from a HTC Titan and it did NOT have this problem so I know it is not a Windows Phone problem, doing a bit of digging in Nokia forums however it appears this problem has been seen before with Nokia Symbian devices (http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Eseries-and-Communicators/Similar-Numbers-from-Deferent-Operators-Ha....
Nokia please please fix this in your Lumia range

    Hi All
I got the notification about an update a couple of days ago and have just updated to 12301 and this problem is still present. No Nokia activity in this thread for a while now...
I'm looking forward to the Lumia 920 but if it has this problem just like my 900 does then I'm afraid to say I will be switching away from a Nokia once again. I came back to Nokia after having had many HTC WM and then HTC WP7 phones, all of which had been great devices. I was very pleased to see Nokia supporting the Windows Phone ecosystem and jumped on the 900 as soon as it came out.
After having had my Lumia 900 for a while now, I've got to say I have been fairly dissappointed in its battery life & this rather annoying bug that I see daily.
Hope a Nokia rep can chase this up, thanks

  • Incoming call volume problem

I am getting very frustrated with the low volume of my incoming calls. Has anyone else had problems with this? Did you get any assistance from Apple?

It abides by the Bluetooth standards and worked perfectly with my previous Nokia phones so I can't see why there should be a problem. This was one of the main reasons why I stuck with Nokia when replacing my old mobile. The only possibility is that the N95 is trying to do something particularly clever and isn't backwards compatible, but I'd find it hard to believe that a simple function like volume would change, or that Nokia wouldn't consider compatibility on such a fundamental function of the phone interface.
The car kit isn't upgradeable as it's built in. Backwards compatibility should mean that this shouldn't be an issue.

  • N6120 incoming call sound

    Hello,
I have one problem with my nokia 6120. When I receive one incoming call, I cannot hear nothing in my ear. I am obliged to use a kit for hearing.
I would like to use my phone simply, how can I do ?
    This situation is borring.
    Regards,

I presume you have already checked the volume settings.
You probably have a faulty speaker. You will need to bring it to your nearest Nokia Care Point to get it replaced.
