Nokia 7610 USB drivers

I have installed the DKU-2 cable driver.
afterwards when the phone was connected to the PC different drivers could not be installed from the product CD ROM
though the computer detected the device.
the computer searches a long time for USB phone parent

if you don't wish to uninstall the whole pc suite, a stand alone installation can be done by downloading the drivers from here.
http://europe.nokia.com/A4144937
in case the pc suite you had on was the one supplied on your 7610 CD, then i guess it's old. and Petrib's suggestion of downloading and installing a complete new version will be more beneficial to you.

  • Nokia 7610 Supernova fails to connect to PC

Just got my Nokia 7610 Supernova, but when I try to connect it to a PC via the USB cable, the software will not upload on my computer. I'm getting a message on my PC saying "wrong configuration settings" and another one "click on finish to start a troubleshooting proecess which might help you fix the problem". When I click 'finish', no troubleshooting process is initiated, though. Instead, my PC starts trying to download the software anew and everything happens the exact same way all over again.
In the right-hand bottom corner menu on my PC screen I'm getting a message saying "your new hardware might not work properly".
I tried this on several different PCs at home and at work, and it's the same everywhere.
    Can anyone help me?

Did You install PC suite to your computer before connecting? Which mode are you using to connec PC Suite or data transfer? Data transfer shouldn't require drivers but you can get the cable driver just in case. It should be on the disk that came in the box with your phone. If you have installed PC suite make sure it's running when you plug the phone in

  • Nokia 7610, contact restore fails

Hi, I made a complete backup of my Nokia 7610 with Nokia PC suite 6.81.13. According to the log file (attached) the backup was done perfeclty. Then, my mobile was repaired (i.e exchanged with a "new" Nokia 7610) and I tried to restore my backup file. It seems to work perfectly well (see attached log) but I only obtained my msgs.. Neither Contacts, nor Agenda.. But if I open the .nbu file (Nokia 7610_17-8-2006.nbu) with notepad, I can see somewhere in the mess, my contacts.. Please, don't tell me that the only way to restore my contacts is manually.. What's wrong? Some other details : Operating system: Microsoft Windows XP Build 2600 Service Pack 2 Nokia PC Suite: Version 6.81.13.0 Language: English (but I also tried the french version) Connectivity Cable Drivers: Version 6.81.1.2

Thanks for the help. Noki didn’t worked well for my nbu file, I think mainly because it had Hebrew characters in the contact names. I managed to solve this by eventually, I stripped out the vcard entries and cleaned it a bit with vim, then used perl to put into a format I could read into the PC suite contacts pane and sync’ed it back to the phone, so now I’ve got all my contacts back .
I have to charge Nokia for some 2 hours of my time though That PC suite software is NOT to be trusted, I would recommend all to not rely on the backup and just drag and drop all contacts from the contacts pane in PC suite to a windows folder (will create *.vcf files) and backup them manually. It is probably not a bad idea to backup the entire phone this way too.
Technically speaking, for the interested, the two main issues to solve were character encoding, so I had to use perl and convert any non a-z/A-Z char to “=char value”, which seems to be the format of the vcard PC suite likes. Also had to do some unix/dos line end trials before I got it right. I anyone needs help with this, I’ll be happy to help.
The perl I used is attached (remove the .txt extension), pretty simple. You’ll need a clean text file with the cleaned out vcard entries, the script will split it into vcard files at the format PC suite likes. No liability of course, so use at you own risk. If you have questions let me know.

  • Nokia 7610:problems with DKU-2Driver

I need you help.I have a problem concerning cable installation of my nokia 7610.After being installed pc suite,i runned DKU-2Driver and during driver installation there is Windows logo that told me that the hardware didn't pass the Windows logo exam. However i press"continue"and the installation finished..but there isn't any new harware found! Please help because i don't kwow what to do!thank you!

i ended up trying the install from the %username%... folder and it definitely yielded different results (though the installation did not complete). this time around, when it tried to install the 7610 (hardware), it asked for the original disc OR the standard option of letting Windows find it automatically. it searched for a while and couldnt find any drivers (or related) and ended up with a message to the effect that the hardware could not be installed. previously when i attached the cable (and the phone attached to it), windows would automatically install the hardware (several components actually such as the modem, etc...). this time around it didnt seem to find them though.
this being the case, am i going to need to find the original CD? im also curious as to why it didnt automatically pick up the phone this time whereas it had for every previous install. i havent taken any further steps yet as far as the install.

    - removed other Nokia SW using the cleanup
    - re-installed latest PC-suite
    - rebooted and rebooted
    - tried even to installa only USB drivers
always "Fatal error" in USB driver Parent etc. installation
bluetooth works fine, but USB cable not. I would'n need it for anything else than to update firmware. I bought my N80 as discounted just last week - of course with original SW from May 2006 + operator (elisa) add ons, SIM locking was removed fortunately :-).
Nokia_PC_Suite_rel_7_0_8_2_eng_web ... worked otherwise ok. but not the section to update the firmware.

  • Nokia 7610 Supernova - sorting messages

Ive purchased the Nokia 7610 Supernova today and finally managed to transfer 191 messages from my old phone (Nokia E65) to the new phone via the latest PC Suite. It errored at first, but I finally managed to set it over into a new folder.
I was so happy I finally managed Now, a moment later I open the folder and the 191 text messages are in the folder completely randomised! I can't properly read through them anymore (as some of them followed each other up) and I don't have the option to "sort by - date/type etc etc". How can I fix this?
I tried making a second folder and moving the messages over from the previous one 1 by 1 in the correct order, it didn't help. I did about 25 and when I checked if it was done right it was all randomised again.
Please help? These messages mean alot to me.

  • Nokia 7610,PC suite fails to save backup files

im working with nokia PC siute 6.3.14(version 2.0) and iv got a nokia 7610.the connection is via USB.
pc siute fails to save the back up files(nfb) to PC.
the error message doesnt explain why.ichecked the software, reinstalled it and changed the destination folder
but nothing happende.sometimes by changing the destination folder it starts to save the file, however the file contains no data.its empty.(when i try to restore this file, the msg confirms that it's empty)
getting the backup takes hours and just when i think its over the error msg appears.
is there anything i can do?
can the failure be due my phone problems?
thanks for ur time and ur contribution

Temporary disable the anti virus and see if it works. If it does then you are sure that the anti virus is blocking the connection. If that is the case then you will have to create an exception rule on the anti virus for the phone

  • My Nokia 7610 can't play .mp4 ! Please help...

I have converted some video in "Total Video Converter" and then uploaded it into my telephone Nokia 7610 (by USB cable). My telephone saw it, but not played ! Help please... Maybe you could name me some programms, which can convert video into .mp4 rightly (My phone (Nokia 7610) could play this video)

What parameters ( AUDIO: (Audio channel; Audio Codec; Sampling rate; Bit rate; Volume (level)). VIDEO OPTION: (Flame rate; Bit rate. VIDEO RESIZE: (Resize (size); Aspect). VIDEO CROP & PAD: (?crop ; ?pad)) must I set, to use this codec (h263)... I tell it to you because when I don't set the parameters (they are already set by the programm) and start to convert, Total video converter shows me this: "Error while openning codec for output stream #0.0 - maybe incorrect parameters such as bit_rate, rate, width, or height" (IF YOU WANT TO KNOW MORE INFORMATION I CAN GET YOU SCREENSHOTS)

  • 64 Bit Windows7/8/8.1 USB drivers for Palm Desktop

Thanks to the great folks over at Aceeca.com (makers of NEW PalmOS Garnet devices), USB drivers for 64bit Vista, Windows 7, and Win 8 operating systems are available.  There are many users reporting Palm Desktop 4.x is also working.
I have synced my TX to my Vista64 bit laptop, and Windows 8.1 HP Spectre X2 hybrid successfully via my USB cable.
    The drivers are located here:
    Aceeca Driver Downloads
Installation instructions (from Aceeca) for Windows 7 are included in the download.
    Basic instructions:
    1. Download the drivers and Extract them to the same folder.  Remember the folder you extracted them to.
    2. Try to HotSync your device.  It will fail.
    3. Open the Device Manager, and look for the Yellow Triangle next to either "Acceca" or "Palm Device" under "Other devices".
    4. Right-click on the device, and choose "Update Driver Software".
    5. Choose "Browse My Computer for Software" and direct it to the folder you extracted the Aceeca drivers to.
    6. Choose "Next" at the driver file location window, and then tell it to "Always trust software from Aceeca Ltd." then click the "Install" button.
    7. I received an error message (Vista64) that told me "The drivers were installed but the device couldn't be opened." I saw that my TX had timed out and went to sleep.  I tried a HotSync and it worked!!!
    Good luck!
NOTE:  Palm Desktop 6.22 may only show Media and Install.  Here's how to fix that:
If Palm Desktop 6.2.2 only shows Media and Install, try this:  Right-click on the shortcut for Palm Desktop, then choose "Run as Administrator".  The ther modules should appear.
To make Palm Desktop Run as Administrator every time in Windows 8/8.1:
Close Palm Desktop, if open.  (This is a very important thing to always do when using 6.2.2 - it has been known to lose data when a computer is shut down without closing the program!)
Right Click on the Palm Desktop Icon in the Metro screen, then choose "Open File Location".  You will now see the actual file for the shortcut.
Right-click on the "Palm Desktop" shortcut file, then Properties.  Now pick the Compatibility Tab at the top.
At the bottom of the Compatibility Tab is a checkbox:  "Run this Program as Administrator", Click OK .
Try opening Palm Desktop, all the parts should appear.  You may see a box open when you close the program asking "Did the program run correctly?"   I picked "Yes", and it's been working fine since then!
If you are using a much older PalmOS device and want to try using Palm Desktop 4.x, you will need this additional patch from Pimlico Software:

Forum member bobboffin has added this post:
"After attempting your first HotSync and failing (as expected) you may be unable to find any trace of the device in Device Manager, making the next step quite difficult. This happened to me, and after some investigation I discovered the following tip that allows Device Manager to show hidden and non-present devices.
Open up Notepad and paste the following two lines into it:
    set DEVMGR_SHOW_NONPRESENT_DEVICES=1
    start devmgmt.msc
Save it as SetDev.bat into My Documents.
Open My Documents in Windows Explorer and double click on SetDev.bat. Device Manager should open.
In the View menu select Show Hidden Devices.
You may now see under the Other heading the failed device with a yellow triangle against it.
You can now proceed to install the drivers per the instructions.
Note that the driver supports most Palm OS versions. I'm actually using an Aceeca Meazura 1000 ruggedized PDA running OS 4.1  --- bobboffin"
    Hope this helps!

Thank you so much.  I was thoroughly disappointed to see that the support telephone for paid support had been discontinued.  I thought I would need to replace my (ancient but serviceable) Z22.
I followed the instructions listed here and am very happy to report that I completed a sync!
    Thanks again.

  • Hi, my Ipod Schuffle (4 gen) dissapears from windows vista right after I execute Itunes, I've change the drive letter, erase temps in App data file, verified USB drivers, etc... Can someone guide on how to solve this?

Hi, my Ipod Schuffle (4 gen) dissapears from windows vista right after I execute Itunes, I've change the drive letter, erase temps in App data file, verified USB drivers, etc... Can someone guide on how to solve this?

If you want the shuffle to be always visible in Windows (outside of iTunes), you need to Enable disk use.
Select the shuffle in the iTunes sidebar, under DEVICES.  Over to the right, select the Summary tab.  You should see a checkbox that says Enable disk use.  Check it and click Apply.
NOTE:  If disk use is enabled, you have to Eject the shuffle in iTunes, BEFORE you physically disconnect it.  If disk use is NOT enabled, you can disconnect the shuffle at any time, as long as iTunes is not doing something with it at that moment (such as syncing); the shuffle's light will then be blinking (to indicate DO NOT DISCONNECT).
So, unless you want to use the shuffle like a USB flash drive (carry random files on it), you may want to NOT Enable disk use.

  • Where are the USB drivers for my MSI board??

Got a new MSI board- VIA KM266 Pro + 8237 Chipset Based. I installed my new AMD 2300+, WIN XP, etc. I have a USB printer. Got everything installed, printed a test page, and then a document. Everything fine. THEN, I go to use my printer a few days later and it says "Printer not responding". So I troubleshoot, and then go into Device Manager and notice there are no USB devices installed. The new MSI board has 4 USB ports on it. The CD that came with the board has no USB drivers on it (I checked). WIN XP has no USB drivers. What is going on? How do I get the USB ports to work? Am I looking at it all wrong? Appreciate any help out there!

  • Windows 7 64bit & Aceeca USB Drivers & PdaNet

Has anyone been successful in using the Aceeca USB drivers with PdaNet 4.1.2 on Windows 7 64bit?
I believe this should work, but it doesn't.  I have place two support messages into June Fabrics about this over the last two weeks and got no response.  The June Fabrics FAQ says:
Does PdaNet support 64 bit system? On 64 bit Vista I received installation error "UpdateDriverForPlugAndPlayDevices err=-536870347".
PdaNet does not work on 64 bit system due to lack of 64 bit USB support from Palm's HotSync Manager.
My device is a Treo 755p.  I can successfully HotSync via both bluetooth and USB/64bit-Aceeca on Windows 7 64bit.  I have got a trial version of USBModem by Mobile-Stream.com to work for Internet tethering, but I just don't understand why PdaNet won't install given the installed Aceeca drivers and June Fabrics FAQ.
Post relates to: Treo 755p (Verizon)

    >got a trial version of USBModem by Mobile-Stream.com to work
Can you provide a link to a detail description of how to get it to work -- I can't seem to do it.
Do you need the 20/month additional option from Verizon?

  • XP SP3: USB-drivers won't install

I just got myself a 8900 Curve and want to connect it to my PC to transfer data, Sync it, update the OS...
Mass Storage Device through the BB works perfectly, but the PC Sync Tool not.
Windows XP SP3 detects New Hardware but can't find drivers.
In Device Manager there's an USB Device with exclamation mark.
I tried installing (and uninstalling) from Desktop Manager 4.6 to 6.0 and even installed the seperate USB-drivers, but no luck.
I tried pointing out to the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\USB Drivers, Windows can't find the appropriate drivers.
What oh what can I do?
I searched through this forum but no luck finding an answer.

    Hi Dman,
When trying to install the drivers, are there any errors when it stops the install?
Has this printer worked on any other systems, including your OS X machine?
