Nokia 800 pairing bluetooth

i have a nokia 800 and i want to use a bluetooth headset to listen to music. how do i pair it? it shows the headset number but nothing out of the headset

You don't mentioned what brand of bluetooth headset you have, if it is from Nokia.It will not work unless paired! There are compatiblity problem regarding bluetooth devices so make sure the devices are listed or tested for compatibilty. Being able to pair it does not mean all features of the phone regarding voice call & music player will work!
Basically, turn on the headset, then enabled your phone bluetooth & scan for other devices, once you see your HeadSet(In Nokia the model of headset), just select it, & you will be prompted to press a code or something. First time on here so be gentle
My 4 month old Lumia 800 pairs correctly with my new car - Hynudai New generation Santa Fe Premium SE and connects each time I start the car. But after anything from 1 to 3 minutes it drops the connection, remains unconnected for about the same time then reconnects again only to drop out after a couple of minutes and so on. If I press the 'Phone' connection button in the car the "Seareching for Phone" display shows then it conencts again ok but only for a couple of minutes then drops out again!
I have been back to the car dealership who have tested the cars BT connection with two other mobile phones and they say its an issue with the Nokia 800 itself and not the car which works correclty with all other mobiles!
My phone shop said it probably needs an upgrade of the software and to conenct via Zune which I have done and no new upgrades are available!
Ideas anyone on what to do, as its driving me mad!
I cant repalce the phone as its on a two year contract! I have looked on the internet and I see there are quite a few people reporting similar issues with their BT connections dropping out.
Does anyone know a fix?

Nokia BH-505 bluetooth headphone has all the bluetooth profile that iOS supports.
But, my new iPad can not see it. HTC's sensation can pair with the BH-505.
Apples tooth is different from that of Android or they do not have tooth?

Just going a little bit further in the step 2, push down the TURN ON/OFF button for about 8 seconds.
I'm saying it because I also have a Nokia BH 504 and the reset process is realized by hold the ANSWER/END CALL and VOLUME UP buttons about 8 seconds. That makes me a little bit confused with Nokia BH 505.

You probably should not be using a keyboard bluetooth profile for a scanner, I am not a developer for apple so do not know the location for you to find out the correct profile you should be using for an input device that is not a keyboard. Sorry,

You have it backwards. You enter the car BT system key code into the phone when initailly pairing the devices. Consult your car sound system manual to find the code.

Its a 5S,I couldnt automatically connect to an already paired bluetooth device the next time.Have to forget that device then re establish each time.Am i missing any setting that does it ?Also

What kind of Bluetooth device?
When you turn it off in Control Center, are you looking at the Settings page? If so, you need to close control center for it to reflect the change. When you turn Bluetooth off in Control Center and look on the Status Bar, what do you see? Do you see the gray Bluetooth icon? If you have Settings closed and turn Bluetooth off on the Control Center and then open the Settings app, do you still see Bluetooth enabled?

N96 cannot pair bluetooth gps

Quite happy with phone I guess, but unable to pair with my otherwise faithful bt-gps device.
I have tried everything, factory defaults, reset etc... it just will not pair.
N96 discovers device, device asks for passcode, enter pass code... and pairing fails.
My non-nokia stuff pairs ok so feeling let down.
Any help?

What upgrades are you talking about? If you already own an iPhone you clearly have enough money to afford one of the most expensive phones on the market - and you clearly have an internet connection, so there is no further cost involved to sync via WiFi or the internet connection you already have, using any of the free services to do just that.
If you insist on syncing via Bluetooth you'll have to pay for an alternative phone anyway - which would cost you more than just using the features your existing iPhone already has.

Nokia 800 GPS not working

Hello all. I have a NOKIA 800 with the latest updates (Windows 7.8) that has problems with the GPS. It was all working fine until about three weeks ago. I had the handset replaced under warranty (through Vodafone) as it looked like a hardware problem but the same problem exists in the new one. Nokia Drive can't get a proper fix of where I am so the directions don't work. I then tried Navigon Europe and this can't find a GPS signal either although if I go into 'GPS info' it does show coordinates and I've also left it outside in line of the open sky for an hour to see if it could get a fix that way (without success). As I say, it all worked fine a few weeks ago so I'm a bit stumped as to what the problem is. Does anyone have any ideas ?

Mobile LG Secret KF750 wont pair Bluetooth my iMac

Trying to get my new Lg Secret Mobile Phone to pair Bluetooth with my Alu iMac.
It goes through the process, finds it ok, then when the pass key screen comes up just keep getting error of cant connect.
Ive got visibility/discoverable on, tried restating both iMac and Mobile but no good.
Any ideas? I want to use it for sending pics from the phone, as I used to with my SE K810i, which worked fine.

I am having a similar issue, with KF750 and iBook G4.
Although I managed to pair both (you have to start the pairing process from the phone), the file transfer works only one-way, e.i. I can transfer files from the mac to the phone, but not viceversa. When trying to send something from the phone, I get a no connection error.
As for "Browse device" I get a "Bad request" error, also.
I still haven't managed to get pictures or files from the phone so far, only sending mp3 or other files to it.
Any other having this connectivity issue?
BTW, is your phone branded by some operator?

Nokia 6650 Fold Bluetooth Pairing with Motorola S8...

My 6650 pairs with the headphones but then gets disconnected almost immediately. This is presumeably b/c I have not entered the passkey (0000) for the headset but so far I have not been able to figure out how to enter the passkey. Does anyone know how to do that?

FWIW (correction): The phone finally asked me (semmingly randomly) for the headphone passcode/key but the connection still got dropped afte I input it. I emailed Nokia support and got this reply:
