NOKIA 8600 HELP WITH SLIDE FEATURE

Has anyone who has got the phone been able to set it so that say for example you have Inbox open on the screen while the phone is open, when you shut the phone it closes whatever application you have open (in this case the inbox)??

All nokia sliders behave like this as far as I know.
You can press the end call button to return to the standby screen before sliding it shut.

GPS - Help with "Heading" Feature

I need help understanding this feature better or possibly I have an issue with my Iphone 4s.
To begin I have a Verizon 4S with 5.1.1 installed.
When I am in a mapping application I use the GPS ... when you hit the arrow icon once it locates you. That works fine. If you hit it a second time it shows a flashlight looking beam at what I think should be the direction you are heading. The snapshot below shows one of my Marine Navigation Apps (navionic) . I am moving 35MPH along that red line to the northeasr as that screen shot. As you can see, the heading is not showing that. What am I missing here ? It doesnt have any problems locking me to roads and such. Its just the heading is never pointed at the actual direction I am moving. The maps application behaves the same way..
Or is this thing really like a compass and will change as you rotate the phone in your hand?

Try clearing the cache for google maps and for navigation, and if it offers the ability to, revert your installation to the original stock installation then re-update to the latest version (I'm not sure if the latest maps app was included in the software upgrade or not)

Can anybody help with UCCE feature "Work Mode on Outgoing" in Agent Desk Settings

my customer wants to have a wrapup time till the agents change their state to "ready" by
themself.
So I have configured the maximum for wrapup time 7200 sec in Agent Desk Settings.
But I have a problem with the feature "Work Mode on Outgoing" in agent desk settings in
ICM 7.5.5.
I think I recognized the function of this feature. It works like that:
- if an agent gets a call via ICM or directly on his phone he will be set into work mode
- if he make a call and the called number answer that call the agent is still on work
mode after he hung up
- but if the called number doesn't answer that call and the agent hangs up his phone he
is in ready/not ready state and that isn't the expected state.
( you can also rebuild this when you go off hook and then on hook again)
The problem is when the agent in state "ready" gets a call via ICM and after he hung up
his phone he is in state "work Ready". Now he makes an outgoing call but this call will
not be answered and if he hangs up his phone he directly gets a new call from ICM because
he was in "ready" state.
Is it possible to set a registry key or do another configuration for that feature "work
mode on outgoing" that it works for every new call even if the call will not be answered?

Nokia 6280 -problem with slider

Hi !
When i tried to change the front case on my nokia 6280, the whole frontpanel "jumpt of" the slides, and i don´t know how to fix it.
There isn´t any warrenty left on the phone, and there aren´t any service centers nearby.
Is is possible for me to put the frontpanel back on the slides? If so, how?

Help with slide presentation

I'm looking for help in uploading a slide presentation to one
of my websites. I am using Dreamweaver and followed directions step
by step. When the presentation is viewed in the preview browser it
is beautiful - when I upload it to my site, all i get is empty
boxes with a little red X where the slides should be -
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong or not doing right

You also need to be absolutely sure you have the name in the
code set to the EXACT name of the file on the server
On your local computer (at least for Windows) you may use
MyPic.jpg or MYPIC.JPG and the file will load... but those are two
different files on a server, so if your code says MYPIC.JPG but the
file is actually MyPic.jpg it will not load

Need help with Book features

I have quite a bit of text in several Word documents, and am ready to assemble them into chapters in InDesign with a .indb (book) file. Because of style sourcing, I don't know what to do first, and can't find anything in Help about it.
Do I create separate .indd files first, insert the text from Word and then link all the files to .indb? OR
Do I create a series of empty .indd files and link them with .indb, then (I don't know where) synchronize styles in all of them >before< adding text? OR
Do I create and stylize just one chapter, which then becomes the stylistic model for all the other chapters?
Do I even need to use .indb? My book is going to be about 200 pages, and I am the only person working on it.
I am eager to get going on designing my book, just not sure where to begin to do it. I >think< I understand the .indb concept.

I had a LOT of trouble figuring out last night how to post in the forums at
all (I'd also forgotten my IDs, which didn't help), so I was relieved just
to get into >any< InDesign forum! The system wouldn't let me into the plain
old InDesign forum (who knows why?), but >would< let me into Feature
Requests. And I decided that I was requesting information about a feature,
so no problem (sort of). Anyway, the Adobe forums are not very intuitive
like some others I post on. Many times the login wouldn't tell me I'd
gotten something wrong and would just bring up the home page again. It took
way too long to figure out what was going on, and then I had to figure out
how to post once I got to the forum. The last time I posted was a few years
ago, and it was just as tough then, so I wasn't relishing going through all
of that trouble again. It was trouble.

Please help with slide show creation

I purchased the bundle of photoshop and premier elements 10. I was trying to create a slide show and was informed that photoshop elements 10 does not come with a slide show for APPLE. now I hae been told I can creat a slide show in premier. can anyone tell me how and where do I go to create it in preimer.
Also I had purchased the professional version of Photoshop but when I purchased elements 10 on line and downloaded it my professional photoshop was replaced with the elements 10 vesion of photoshop. Is there anyway I can recover my professional version.
I was thinking of buying elements 11 but beging to fell what is the use if I can not get element 10 to work for me.

I'm confused by what you mean when you write "scene setting or standard timeline setting". In version 11, I use "Expert" as my standad timeline setting. The other is "Quick" and I have never used it.
The time for each pic starts with a default setting that can be changed. Then each slide can be streched or shrunk with mouse control.

Nokia 5530 Homepage, with missing features

When I turn my phone to the home screen theme/shortcuts, it fails to show the music player, radio and calendar. I have tried ticking and unticking all the boxes, but it only ever shows my shortcuts, and the search.
Is this a know problem on this phone? I have just installed the latest firmware also, but this was happening before.

I recently brought this phone and after loading many downloaded applications and themes to my via USB Cable, I found out later that I was missing the shortcuts to my home screen on my phone. I had only had this phone for 1 day at this time and was really fustrated as to whether this was because of the way I used it or whether it was due to the lack of manufacturing and notice by Nokia.
Searching the internet for numerous hours, I was brought to a reasonable conclusion of this very annoying problem. I was looking at different people who had encountered this very same problem and found out it is to do with one removing the USB from the computer in an inpropper manner. ie. Not disconnecting the USB properly via "Safely Remove Hardware"
?RESOLUTION?
I am glad to tell you that I have found a brilliant resolution to this problem with its pros and cons, sadly. The good thing about this is that your phone will be working after the process but you will lose all your settings, data on the phone and any other methods of saved files. Bearing in mind that this process here could well fix your phone as it did to mine and can esure that you will be happy with the results. This resolution is known has a HARD RESET OF A HANDSET. Sounds special don't it? Well it is...
So basically, on the home screen, you have lost use of the shortcuts, telephone and contacts button on the either side of the bottom screen handset, right?
Ok, heres how to do it...

New help with "slide show"

Up until 2009 I used Final Cut Express to create "slide shows" using stills, video footage, alpha overlays, and animated transitions with a voice track and one or or more music and audio effects tracks.
In 2009 I retired and later bought a new iMac with Final Cut Pro X and Mountain Lion. "Just for fun."
Naturally, somebody important in my life has now asked me to produce a 5 minute show and I have less than two months to get it done using FCPX.
It needs to be NTSC SD because of the projection equipment available and I'd like to create the stills in Photoshop, just as I did in the "old days".
Can anybody point me toward some material that will help me make this transition to the new software, and rapidly? Unfortunately, the expectations are high.

Need help with Review feature in Acrobat X

I am unable to send a PDF document for Email review using COMMENT feature in Acrobat X. I am not sure if it is failing due to document rights issue or email application configuration. Can someone help me troubleshoot?

You didn't say what error message you are getting or your email application. If it's an email issue, you might see an error message that says Adobe is unable to connect to your email program. Probably due to MAPI settings/ your email client. Outlook should work, web-based apps (Gmail) probably won't without some 3rd party add-in.
If is a rights-issue, go to File/Properties/Security and see if there are any restrictions on the file.

I-mate K-JAM and Nokia E61 Help with settings

I used to be able to conect to my works exchange server with my i-mate. I can not seem to get it right with the Nokia. Could view my e-mails and sync my calender with the i-mate.
Settings in the sync function of the i-mate:
Server configuration
Server address - [email protected]
This server requires an encrypted (SLL) conection
User name
Password
Domain
This would then uatomatically sync my calender and e-mail
Can one do the same with an Nokia E61?

I have a K-Jam and love the heck out of it!! I've had several HTC products and found that this has been the best yet. No problems. I highly recommend it.
As for getting it setup with my iBook, that's been a bit of a pain. I can't seem to figure out how to dial to GPRS. Did you accomplish this with your 910? If so, how????? I've got the iBook and K-Jam paired, and it sees it as a bluetooth modem, but I can't figure out how to setup my t-mobile. Any comments would be great!

Need Help with cursor features

I just got my first job at a media buying place in NYC, and I'm loving it! my daily tasks include entering data, creating tons and tons of spreadsheets, and interpreting data. I know, sounds boring, but I like it.
Only problem I've been having deals with Excel. I have a type of dyslexia that makes it difficult to see the white space between lines. Contrary to the norm, I have no problem following left to right- or vice versa- however it is difficult to distinguish
one line from the next because of it's vertical proximity.
For example when I read, I often re-read the line I just finished because I lose my spot when I shift my eyes.
I was wondering if anyone knew of cursor features on excel that follows my cursor using dotted lines- sort of an X,Y coordinate feature- from the top and side tab. It'd make my life a whole lot easier especially if the dotted lines are a different color
from the background.
Any input would be great. I'm sure there's a feature, I just cant find it.

Unfortunately there is no feature in Excel to do what you describe, not sure if Windows provides something like that as a general utility.
However it should be possible to develop an Excel macro to draw a line that follows the cursor. I have in mind something like press and keep depressed a key (say F9),and if/as the cursor moves a trail will follow, release the key and the macro terminates.
Optionally the trail could be cleared when the key is released, or cleared next time the key is depressed. That's all subject to developing and testing but would something along those lines be useful? If so explain anything else that's relevant or would be
useful.

Help with slider in rectangle

My goal is to do in the middle of the rectangle scrolling text primitive without any high demands, I killed a day, but never did!

You initialize the top attributes like that :
theText.css('top', 0);
theSlider.css('top', <initialValue>);
You initialize the text and the variable you use to limit the sliding
theText.html("<yourHTMLContent>");
maxTop = -400; // in case you have 2 positions every 200 pixels
Then you could use to animate the sliding when up and down arrows are clicked and if you haven't reached the limits of sliding (maxTop) :
theText.animate({top: "+=200"});
theText.animate({top: "-=200"});
(same principle for theSlider)

I cannot view my pictures on new 30gb IPOD. When I connect to PC to transfer pictures, it syncs OK. However, the only option I see under photos when I want to view from IPOD are slideshow settings. Please provide your ideas. Thanks.

Are you sure you have iTunes set up to sync your pictures to your iPod? Sync your iPod. Then click on the "Photos" tab on the top pane. Then click on your photos syncing option in that section. I have mine set up to sync just pictures from certain folders in "my pictures" on my computer.
