Nokia apps on Wi-Fi.

My phone C3-00 is running on latest update v08.71 but I'm unable to use Nokia pre-installed apps via Wi-Fi like Mail, Communities, etc, except the Chat service. When I start any app like Mail it asks for connection via Wi-Fi or SIM, I choose Wi-Fi, then the app loads 5-6 mins. And shows error: "Unexpected error. Try again!". I tried it several times but everytime it shows the error message. This problem is also with Communities. Please justify.

Try to turn on your Wifi and connect to the Wifi network manually, then make sure
that you are connected (for example, check from connections-settings or somewhere that you have active Wifi-connection). After that open the app which you want to use.
Sometimes those apps cannot automatically connect to the wifi or even if they can, they close the connection after there is no data moving. When you have connected manually Wifi, you need to close the connection afterwards same way you connected.

Missing Nokia apps after upgradeon X3-02

hello,
Had bought a X3-02 2 weeks ago. Did a firmware upgrade yesterday to V05.32. After the upgrade, found that the OVI and all other pre-installed NOKIA apps are missing (facebook, twitter, IM...). Could not figure out how to recover them after searching Nokia webs. Can anyone help me ? Thanks in advance.

Thanks for your post and welcome to the Nokia forum.
We are really sorry for this inconvenience.
In order to fix this issue, I would advise you to update again your phone via Nokia suite.
If the problem persists, I would suggest you to perform a hard reset. First of all, back up your data using Nokia Suite (Tools > Back up). Once your data is fully backed up, type *#7370# on the keypad. Default lock code is 12345.
The hard reset will dellete all your personal information, that's why a back up is very important.
If none of these solutions solves your issue. I would advise you to visit your local Nokia care point to get the phone checked. If it needs repair, it could be done there.

OVI NOKIA APP sms every night

How do i stop receiving those annoying sms from OVI NOKIA APP??? Every night at 3:00am. PLEAAASE

Seems to be an issue with CareMe applications
All links i have seen points to programs that they have in the ovi store.
So go to http://store.ovi.com/publisher/CareMe/
check your phone if you have any application from them in the phone, then try and remove them (uninstall them)

Missing Nokia apps

I have the problem since 1.12. (Lumia 710, T-mobile, updated to 8773). Nokia collection is visible but empty, App Highlights show all Nokia apps but "Application not available" shown in details, also apps are missing from the marketplace. Marketplace and LiveID is Croatian. Tried: reset, changing language, system locale and similar solutions with no success. Any help would be appreciated.

They did not say they were not fixing it, What they said was "We don't have any information regarding when the fix they are referring to will becomes available", which to me just means they don't when it will be fixed.

Message from OVI Nokia App everyday at 130am How d...

I am getting a message from OVI Nokia App everyday at 130am How do I turn it off? It's driving me crazy. It seems to be an internally generated message as I cannot respond to stop it or anything. It says "Cool app on Nokia's Ovi Store" and has a different app everyday. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Some content items in Ovi Store have been sending out unwanted sms messages. So far seems like they are all from the publisher ‘CareMe’. The applications have a function that simulates a SMS being sent to the consumer. Many of these applications are actually “hidden” from the applications menu. Therefore to remove the “sms” and the application, please delete the application from the “installed applications” menu.
The SMS “feature” is now removed from updated versions of CareMe applications available at Ovi Store so if you still want to use those applications, please re-download the affected application(s) from Ovi Store.
If you notice some other than CareMe application sending SMS, please let us know preferably via Report abuse feature available at Ovi Store.

Would it be okay if you could provide us a screenshot of this app? BTW, have you already tried switching off/on your phone to check if there's any difference?

Why nokia apps are the only ones you can't install...

Ok Nokia, You created N97. You know that 73M is a joke for the phone's memory (drive c). In the name of all N97 users, why on earth you keep releasing apps like ovi maps with 7-14M where I can only install them on drive c and not on mass memory (where I have 30G)??? I mean, you keep reminding me that the phone has limited memory, why? André Carlucci

Is it grayed out? Have you tried control - clicking on the file and using the contextual menu?

Nokia Music 2.0 released under Nokia Apps in India...

Today I downloaded Nokia Music 2.0 from Market, buy it's not working on my Lumia 800, showing following message. My phone is unlocked, so I took following screenshot.

NOTE: If I sideload the application from using xap for v2.0 which is available for download on the net, It works fine, but official version not working, and not only me, if you check the reviews on market place, all of them are having same problem. Why there is no testing before publishing it on the market?

I found a partial fix, not form Nokia, I tried it, and it works
HOW TO MAKE IT WORK:
1. If already Installed, Uninstall Nokia music first.
2. Now goto settings, and change region to UK, and restart the phone.
3. After restart, goto market and download the application.
4. After completing the installation, open Nokia Music.
5. This time you can open it without any problem.
6. Now again goto settings, and change region to India, and restart the phone.
7. Enjoy Nokia Music.
**Few options are not working properly, you will get some error, like My account showing 'Nokia Music Unlimited' but I can't download any songs, it's showing error
**This is only works once, after some time, it's again started showing same error. Nokia can only solve this..

Have you tried restarting the phone? If that does not help, remove the memory card (if there is any) and restart the phone. Otherwise, please provide feedback and I'll see what I can advise next.

Facebook for nokia e63 app !

well well i am now tired searching for facebook for nokia app for my e63 ! will u people gonna make some help for that ?? why theres no facebook for nokia app for e63 ??? isnt it symbian 3rd version smart phone ??? then whats the problem ?? many like me are waiting for this app for a longtime. you people gonna do somthn about it or am goin to throw that phone to your head

Nokia drive and other apps for other windows phone...

i saw on the net abt the pirated versions of nokia s best gps app being used on other windows phones and with partnership of microsoft will there be nokia apps available officially on the marketplace ..? and m confused between nokia 710 and samsung omnia w.. both priced the same and omnia with front cam but i need the gps navigation for sure more than frnt cam..now the point is if nokia makes their apps available for other devices then no point in buyin any phone in intrest .. i got this doubt coz i read nokia maps coming to other devices and also the EA games ???? pls suggest

I would not bother getting a nokia at the moment.....
If you can live without nokia drive for now then i would hold back for atleast 6 months and see what happens.
Nokia have slipped down the chain a bit and are not as almighty as they use to be.
There are loads of probs with the Lumia 800 and the 710 is not all that good compared to nokia's of old.
I got the 710 because of nokia drive and it is no where near as good as the old Ovi navigation...
In fact the whole phone is a let down....with poor camara, poor sat nav, poor speaker and poor battery...
The Actual phone is a nice design and the screen is not bad...WP7.5 looks interesting but still needs a lot of work to catch up with the others.
Not sure what the Omnia is like...but if i knew then what i know now about the 710 i would of gone for the HTC Radar and just used my N8 for Sat Nav.

Nokia 5800 Social Network and Internet/Email conce...

Having owned the Nokia 5800 XpressMusic for a couple of months or so, I must say that I really like the phone and it has great functionality.
My main concerns/issues however are outlined below:
1. Facebook for Nokia app is slow, does not show all of the functions that m.facebook.com shows and isn't a homescreen widget (e.g. push notifications)
2. Communities app is even slower and again does not have the functionality of m.facebook.com and doesn't show notifications at all!
3. The Nokia Messaging app insists on connecting to 3G all the time, rather than a wifi connection when available. I've also experienced intermittent issues when trying to connect (sometimes it stays offline and even selecting 'Go online' doesn't wake the program up).
4. Default web browser keeps crashing and doesn't support larger websites (I experience intermittent crashes as well as memory issues). I do not receive such issues in Opera Mobile. I also dislike the defaulting to full screen mode all the time. If you turn full screen off, as soon as you navigate to a different page it goes back to full screen again, therefore increasing the activity on the phone and it takes longer to load the page before you can scroll or click another link.
I think I've covered all of my main concerns but in essence this device really needs better app support and social networking integration.
I would be grateful if I could be given an update on if/when we can expect to receive such support.
If anyone else agrees, please indicate below along with any additional feature requests relating to this topic.

Same issues here, facebook is almost unuably slow (it's quicker to boot up the laptop!)
Messeging will not use wifi and i have a limited data plan so can't use it for attachments.
Web browser randomly exits for no reaseon and the lack of width adjustment is infuriating
Now ovi store's won't let me download!
