Nokia Asha 201 problem re car charger

I have just bought a USB car phone charger but I only get a message Unsupportable USB device. Disconnect cable. The retailer sent me another cable but still the same. What does this mean?

Hopefully, a employee comes by and double-check whether your Nokia 201 supports USB charging at all. You are able to double-check yourself, by using a Micro-USB cable, shutdown your computer, and try to recharge it via that. If that works, you know, it supports USB charging.

Try to perform a software update - http://www.nokia.com/global/support/software-update/asha-software-update and see if it does restore the calculator. Otherwise, you will have to bring the phone a Nokia Care Centre to request to reprogram your Nokia device.

Opera Mini - Nokia Asha 201

Just to verify, do you want to personalize the home screen? Have you tried checking if the Home Screen Mode on your phone? You can try to check this by going to Menu > Settings > Home Screen > Home Screen Mode > On. After checking that, you can also go to Personalize view > Shortcut Bar > you will see a cog icon beside it > Add on the shortcuts tab the "Apps and games." This contains the Opera Mini Application.

Issue with Camera in my Nokia Asha 201

Hi Nokia Team,
I am facing 2 problems with my Nokia Ahsa-201 model (software version current is v11.81) from the time I have bought it.
1. Whenever I click a photo, the screen freezes and the mobile needs to be switched off and restarted. This problem is appearing from past 1 month.
2. There is always an ECHO and an additional irritating sound in the phone while talking in the phone. However this sound is not there wile talking though handsfree.
I need your help to resolve this issue.

In the camera settings you are able to change the storage to memory card. Does that help/work? If not, sounds like a hardware issue, which cannot do much about – at least we cannot give much advice withouth phyiscal inspection. Therefore, please go for your dealer who goes for a local but genuine Nokia Care Centre.
Before you go that path, I recommend to run the Nokia Software Recovery Tool because that is the first step the Nokia Care centre does anyway – and it rules out any software issues.

Nokia asha 200.problem in opening folders.

I am using nokia asha 200.It is very slow and it takes long time in opening folder.And my nokia music store is also not opening.
How can i solve these problems?And i also wanted to know that if there a antivirus for this mobile handset...?

If there is a lot of content in a folder, it is normal for the phone to take some time in opening that. Try making multiple sub-folders to properly allocate your data.
Do you have some phone memory free? When you run out of phone memory or its very less free memory left, the device starts running slow as because it uses come of the phone memory to as physical memory.
What error do you experience when opening Nokia Music? Does it suddenly close? If so, your phone needs a Firmware Re-Install. You can give Nokia Suite a chance to do that or better visit a Nokia Care Center.
Your phone doesn't need a Anti-Virus that's why there is no such product available. Asha series phones run on S40 OS and it cannot be infected by viruses. Viruses can't bring any harm to its file system

Problems with car charger

I dont think i have read anything like this on the forums yet. Im on my second torch and although i like it a lot being (personal opinion) best blackberry yet (functionwide) , I feel it has some issues that are making me think a lot. I had a problem with the first one, i was charging it in my car (original BB charger) and some times i would see the lighting icon with the phone charging and sometimes not. I wanted to know if it was charging or not, so i tested for minutes looking at the battery % and nothing. Then the phone started to overheat and was not charging anymore, i took it to best buy mobile where i purchased it and they gave me different car chargers to test it. I did test it but i told them that my charger was orgiunal blackberry accesory and that i charge a 9700 and a 8520 from my wife. Nothing happened, they gave me a new phone. With the new one i noticed the b atter life was superb, was way better. but after 4-5 days (yesterday) the battery went dead at 5pm with slight use on the day, i tried charging the cellphone while eating, so i left it charging in the car and when i returned the phone was hot and not charging. Im really confused
Things i know>
1. its not the car charger, its charging other BB fine and its original accesory
2. Its not the lighter in my car cause i also charge other phones
please advice

I too am on my second torch in 8 days. I am also having a problem with the car charger. The lightning bolt goes off while charging, especially when I am using AT&T Navigator. The second phone is not as bad as the first one was, but I don't know how well it will do in the weeks to come.
I had this same problem with my original AT&T Blackberry, the 8900. In that case, a battery swap solved the problem. With the Torch, I really don't know what is going on, but this is a serious problem because I use the AT&T Navigator all the time in my business and I have to keep my battery charged.
I hope Blackberry recognizes that there IS a problem and fixes it.

Nokia Asha 306 problem

Im using a Nokia asha 306 and i can't use browser,mail and other pre installed services and when i click on the icon it just flashes back so i can't fully access my phone anymore,please help

hi mate, have you tried re-installing your current firmware thru Nokia Suite on PC and also checked that you are up to date with the latest firmware thru the phoen itslef? also try Restoring the phone to factory settings.

Nokia Asha 201 Bluetooth

I cannot turn my bluetooth on. i go to connectivity-bluetooth then screen selection will be at Off option, when i switch it on it shows no reaction at all. ive done hard reset aswell as software update. no help.

It could be hardware problem, better visit Nokia care for repairs. Please
back-up important phone data.

Nokia Asha 201 hides the games & applications

Nokia 201 asha hides the games and applications downloads such as
whatsapp and facebook, when I open my apps, it shows gallery(images,
music, etc) instead of my apps downloads, how am I suppose to fix this?

Because I never faced that particular error message and not be able to find it on the Internet. Mhm.
Were you able to use that trick, mentioned in that other thread?
If that does not work either, we have to double-check Nokia » Menu » Settings » Configuration. For that, which Internet APN do you need for your network operator and type of contract? If you do not know, we can look it up, but need the name of your operator, and the country your are in.
