Nokia Asha 205 Not playing Mp4 Videos

I was using Nokia x2-01 before. Recently i purchased a Nokia Asha 205. I have tried to play all the video files but discovered that those in mp4 format only plays the audio part of the file and writes VIDEO NOT SUPPORTED on the screen. What can i do?

You need to convert the videos to phone supported mp4, 240*320 resolution using format factory pc software and copy the videos to your phone.

Quicktime 7.7.4 will not play mp4 video

I have several recorded videos saved in mp4 format that will not open in Quicktime. The audio plays, but the video is only a black screen. I have one mp4 file that I recorded a few days before the others that will open in Quicktime. All the files open in VLC, DivX, Adobe Premiere Pro 5.5, and Windows Media Player. I am using Windows 7 and I need to import these videos into Photoshop CS5.5 extended which it will not do if the files won't play in Quicktime. I've tried just about everything including re-recording, but my recording will only save in mp4 or flv. I have also uninstalled and re-installed quicktime, photoshop, and my recording device.

Your video data rates are virtually nonexistent. (I.e., a "normal" quality AAC stereo track for a video file is typically recorded with a sampling rate in the 44.1 KHz at 128 Kbps to 48 KHz at 160 Kbps range.) As you can see in the inspector images the total audio plus video data rate allocated for your files are all little more than that required to support a "normal" stereo audio track. Recompress the files using a more realistic video data rate. Try something in 1.25 Mbps to 2.50 Mbps range as a starting point and determine the minimum level of quality you can live with here. (I.e., a typical VGA SD iPod file is normally compressed with a video data rate on the order of 1.5 Mbps to 1.7 Mbps.)

Safari will not play .mp4 movies

I upload a .mp4 movie to my server and Safari cannot play it. It displays a mass of numbers and such.
I found an article online that says to add a .htaccess file to my server at the, infamous, "root level"... what's this guy smokin'??? Could this possibly work? Has anyone had a similar experience with Safari not playing .mp4 videos? (They play just fine in QT Player)

If you are having problems playing MPEG4 video in Quicktime 7.4 (and Apple are aware that some users have had such problems) you should carefully check in
/Library/Quicktime and
/Library/Internet Plug-ins and
Home/Library/Quicktime
to check whether you have any third party plug-ins that are not completely up to date.
Current versions of Flip4Mac and DiVX and Perian do NOT cause failure alone or in combination. However the one SPECIFIC extension that ALWAYS causes the failure alone or in groups is 3ivxMediaImp. All other 3ivx extensions DO work. Remove only that ONE SPECIFIC extension.
Please try this and see if it fixes your problem with QT Player, the QT Firefox Plugin, and iTunes not playing MPEG4 files (including mp4 files).
Older 3ivx and DivX components are often incompatible with new QuickTime versions and are, in many cases, obviated by component packs like Perian.
This is not the only explanation for issues with MPEG4 file playback in QuickTime 7.4 and later, however. The issue with videos from democracynow.org and others, for instance, is the result of that content not complying with MPEG4 standards (namely that they use bogus track dimensions). QuickTime had previously ignored invalid track dimensions but this was changed in order to support properly authored anamorphic content.
The recent update to QT 7.4.1 has fixed a number of issues but some problems are unavoidable when working with non-standards compliant content. The standards are important for many reasons including keeping hackers from manipulating improperly coded web pages.
However, there is a workaround (also the basis for why those files will still play in iTunes): there are a few ways to trick QuickTime into ignoring the invalid track data. For instance, rename the files .3GP and they'll show up just fine.
Post back if you want a list of the plug-ins you should have in order to play pretty much anything in Quicktime.

FLVPlayback Not Opening MP4 Videos In AIR 3.3

I have created a custom video player using the FLVPlayback component in Flash CS6 and published it as an swc file. Using the custom video player in Flash works fine, as it will load and play mp4 videos. In my AIR desktop applocation, when I use the custom video player, it will play flv & f4v files fine, but it will not play mp4 videos. When I debugg it in Flash Builder and try to play an mp4 video, I get this error:

I've done some more debugging in Flash Builder, and if the source of the FLVPlayback is set without calling the play method, I'm getting this error now:
TypeError: Error #1090: XML parser failure: element is malformed.

If I look at the value of URLLoader in the debugger, it is all a bunch garbled symbols and text, which implicates to me that the FLVPlayback component is somehow mistaking my video path for a xml path. What would cause it to think I am trying to load an xml?

How to play MP4 videos from library assets, not external source

I can play MP4 video files all day long, as long as they are from an external source. How can I target via linkage MP4 video files in the library? I'm building a Kiosk application and can't have any external assets--only assets from the library. Please only post comments or solutions based on using the video object, not the Playback component. N8 not playing youtube videos. Why?

hey all,
heres the problem.. my n8 is not playing youtube videos when i select to play it with standard video player option at m.youtube.com it takes me to the video player but shows nothings but only LOADING ...
however when i chose to play the video using flash player beta .. browser plays it smooth ..
my question is why my video player is not playing them ?????

Things to try:
1. Uninstall and reinstall the Youtube downloader.
Restart your phone
1. Press and hold the power button until the phone vibrates and switches off.
2. Switch your phone on again.
Reset the settings
Restore the original factory settings (Menu > Settings > Phone > Phone management > Factory settings > Restore). This reset will not delete any data on your phone it will just restore the settings back to default state.
Update the software
Make sure your phone is running the latest software. Use Nokia Suite to update or reinstall the phone software.

N86 Not playing any videos,N97 restarts frequently...

My friend's N86 is not playing any videos,even those recored by the phone . Think it's a bug. Also he's not able to update the firmware.
Now it plays the videos with the hard resetting.
Is there any other solution to this problem ?
Hope Nokia will come up with a new Firware update soon as we can't always do the same to play the videos.
A N97 after updating to latest version(updated yesterday) started restarting frequently.The phone started to hang too. What might be the problem ?

it is the 802.11n AEBS
and it does seem to lose network connectivity only when the LinkStation is connected to the AEBS via ethernet (even when the LinkStation isn't turned on).
the only time i can seem to get the AEBS to work properly and consistently is if i go entirely with wireless connectivity and the LinkStation is connected directly to the Mini via ethernet. which isn't my ideal setup

Flash player 11.8 does not play YouTube video Windows 7 Enterprise

Since I spent days troubleshooting this, I thought I might save others the same.
Environment:
windows 7 enterprise 32 bit (System meets requirements for flash player)
Workstation part of an AD Domain
Occurs on all workstations
Using a proxy to access the internet (this is not the problem as chrome works fine and HTML5 works fine)
Flash Player 11.8
Browsers: IE 8, IE9, IE10, FireFox, Chrome
Chrome plays videos fine
HTML5 Player plays fine in all browsers
IE8, 9, and 10 do not play videos; it starts to play then loops then dies with youtube error message
FireFox does not play youtube videos same as IE
I tried all solutions found on the internet, adjusting browser settings or uninstalling and reinstalling flash none of it worked.

There are several apps in the App Store. Look at them to see what might meet your needs. There is a keynote app that might be best for you.

Hi, i want to know why my ipad will not play rented video to a projector using the apple vga adapter connector. This is just basic mirroring and there should be no problem isn't it? Please help.

Technically, yes, it should be easy. However with rented videos you may be running into DRM (DIgital rights management) where you may not be allowed to play that video anywhere but on the iPad. The video could have a bit of programming in it that literally tells the HDMI or VGA output not to work.
One way to test the connection, with your ipad's camera, shoot a short video and try to mirror that. If it mirrors and the movie doesn't then it's likely that you're simply not allowed to mirror it. If it doesn't play then there may be something wrong hardware or setting wise.
