Hi sexlezinto,
Is it the preinstalled application that you are trying to access? Or did you download it from the Nokia Store? If this is from the Nokia Store, have you tried to uninstall and reinstall it back on the phone?

  • Nokia Asha 205 Not playing Mp4 Videos

I was using Nokia x2-01 before. Recently i purchased a Nokia Asha 205. I have tried to play all the video files but discovered that those in mp4 format only plays the audio part of the file and writes VIDEO NOT SUPPORTED on the screen. What can i do?

You need to convert the videos to phone supported mp4, 240*320 resolution using format factory pc software and copy the videos to your phone.
    Hope this helps.

  • Nokia asha 205 and whatsapp

Which version of nokia asha 205 support whatsapp, is it single sim version or both single sim and dual sim version?

    armagon wrote:
Yep, it's up to the developer for a big part, but also about phone specs & performance as Whatsapp is implemented so that it can run in the background and stay connected all the time. There is at least one previous existing example of a single-SIM Asha model which didn't get Whatapp support at all (Asha 203). Based on my understanding with dual-SIM phones the problem is essentially the same - Whatsapp should stay connected all the time, or otherwise you will miss messages from other users. However changing between SIM-cards would interrupt with the connection.
That doesn't sound right to me. Nobody would make a mobile service which requires a 100% reliable connection. Also, Whatsapp works fine in dual SIM Android phones to my knowledge. So there must be something in the way dual SIM is implemented in Series 40, which makes it impossible or at least difficult to make Whatsapp work with them.
The lack of Asha 203 support is probably a memory issue: all other Asha phones have at least 32 MB of RAM, but the poor 203 has to make do with just 16 MB. It does not explain why for example the C2-01 and C2-02 are not supported, but that could just be an omission on part of Whatsapp developers. If the memory theory is correct, Asha 205 won't be getting Whatsupp, either (it has only 16 MB of RAM).

  • Nokia Asha 205 firmware update while roaming

    Hello,
is it possible to update the Asha 205's firmware when the phone is roaming? The device does not have an USB-port, and Nokia Suite won't let me update when the phone is connected via Bluetooth. The FOTA update isn't working, because the phone thinks I am abroad and won't download the update.
I am on the Saunalahti network in Finland, which is using Elisa's network and thus the phone is "roaming" although it's actually in its home network.

Menu » Settings » Connectivity » Mobile data » Mobile data » from ‘Off when roaming’ to ‘On’. Still the same:
English: Unable to download when abroad
German: Herunterladen im Ausland nicht möglich
Spanish: Impossible descargar en el extranjero
    Portuguese: Descarregar impossível no estrangeiro
    French: Téléchargement impossible à l’étranger
Dutch: Kan niet downloaden in buitenland
    Turkish: Yurtdışında indirilemez
    Italian: Impossibile scaricare all’estero
All network operators who do national roaming are affected, tested with (edited: list updated):
    yesss! Austria
    bob Austria
    Telfort Netherlands
All phones with the operating system Nokia Series 40 and Firmware Over-the-Air (FOTA) are affected, tested with a Nokia 6212 classic (Series 40 5th Edition).
Three workarounds are known (edited: Recovery Tool added):
    A) bring your phone back to your dealer who sends it over to Nokia Care for update
B1) update on your computer via Nokia Suite
B2) if that does not work, use the Nokia Software Recovery Tool
    C) use a SIM of a network operator, not doing national roaming

  • Nokia Asha 200: third-party apps not connecting to...

Please help, I can't access the internet with Opera Mini, eBuddy, Shazam and Nokia Store. The Nokia Browser, Chat, Mail, and Social apps work fine though. I'm using firmware 11.56, hope you can help...

The issue is actually not related to the 3.1.3 update.
The issue occurs because the iPod or iPhone is unable to properly authenticate that you are the proper owner of the application. The apps are launched, the device checks who purchased the app, then checks if it has been authorized to continue. At some point in the process a mismatch occurs and the app quits. The easiest way of determining if this is your specific issue is to launch a native app (Phone, iCal, Contacts, etc) and verify that it launches, then launch a downloaded app (Skype, AIM, Facebook, etc) and verify that it quits shortly after launching.
Two possible ways of resolving the issue:
    1) Trying to keep most application data, sync iPod/iPhone, deauthorize computer and sync again, reauthorize computer, and sync again. You may lose music on the iPod/iPhone until the final sync. Make sure it's all on your computer beforehand.
    If that doesn't work,
    2) Deauthorize computer, restore iPod/iPhone, authorize computer, set iPhone up as new device, then sync. This is the cleanest (and in my opinion the best) method but will also not preserve all application data (WIFI passwords, voicemail password, certain saved data within applications, SMS, etc).
To deauthorize and reauthorize your computer account, load iTunes and select the "Store" menu item.
    Hope this helps,
    Brian

  • Certificate not on phone or sim for nokia asha 205...

i have a problem installing apps on my store! it always says "certificate not on phone or sim".
    please help.

If you get that error message, the whole software of your phone is broken.
Repairing is the only correct way. Because officially, your phone does not have a USB port (officially), you cannot go for the Nokia Software Recovery Tool yourself (solution A). A Nokia Care Centre has to refurbish the whole software/firmware (solution D).
The link shows a way to install the required certificates via Bluetooth (solution B and C). This requires a computer or an Android phone and is a hack. This hack might cure the symptoms (no error message anymore) but does not fix the issue.
Anyway, why does NokiCert not work for you?

  • Nokia Asha 300 DAB radio app/radio streaming

Hi.  I have recently aquired an Asha 300 and due to my favourite radio station moving to DAB only, I am looking for an app to stream it.  I am finding more and more this handset is probably not suitable for me but would like to know if there is a solution to getting the channel on my phone.  I can go through their website but when I click on the link to play, nothing happens.
    Any ideas?
    Solved!

    Hi,
    Welcome to the forum!
You may try to uninstall and re-install the application. After that, try to observe your phone if it will occur again. Otherwise, try to reset the phone. Note that your files won't be deleted. To do this, go to Settings and then select Restore factory settings. Select Settings only and then enter the security code. The default code is 12345 unless you changed it. If that doesn't help, try to format the phone. This is by selecting All in the restore factory settings.

    Hi noklov,
Thanks for sharing your query with us. The Hike Messenger is not available for Nokia Asha 230 per Nokia Store. Note that availability of an application will be depending on its publisher. Though that app is not available for your phone, you can still try searching for other apps that have the same functionality. See recommendations below:

  • How to Connect the Asha 205 to PC

hi..... i have Nokia Asha 205 and i wanna to connect it with my Pc and it dont have connection port... so how will i connect it .... help pllzzzz
    Thanks
Moderator's Note: The subject was amended as the post was moved to the appropriat board.

You may use the Bluetooth instead. If your PC is not BT enabled buy a Bluetooth USB Dongle. It looks like a Pen Drive and may not cost more than USD 5.
You need to download and install the Nokia Suite on your PC to sync data ..
